The Color Zone Salon

I went there on Friday and Alyvia worked some serious magic on my hair. I had a terrible experience prior to coming here that left me quite skeptical as to where I would go next. I saw some pictures of her work and that she specializes in balayage, so I took the risk. Best decision ever! She was friendly, listened to what I wanted, was conversational but not so much that I didn’t get to relax. She was efficient with her time and didn’t rush but didn’t keep me there all day. The salon itself is hard to find, so alot for an extra 20 mins if you’re not familiar with the area. Very nice, modern and clean though. Overall, a great experience and I will be back!

I had gone to Alyvia while she was still in beauty school and loved her work so I decided to follow her at her place of employment after graduating for my hair color needs. I wanted my base color to be purple but not too bright with blonde highlights on top. She put in the colors and when my hair was dry I could only see a few strands of purple here and there. I waited several days thinking that it would show more purple after going under the sun a few times but the base color looked black not just to me but to all of my co-​workers, friends and family. I called and spoke with the manager and she did not offer me any solutions, instead she gave a bunch of excuses saying that my hair would have to have been bleached all over before putting in the purple color… she said that because I had color in my hair from a month ago that there was never a guarantee on how my hair would take the purple color blah blah blah.
If you run a place of business that has to deal with hair color at least offer your client to return for the color to be redone at no extra charge but to kindly pay for the hair do (ie; the use of a curling iron or flat iron). I paid a lot of money for this hair color; $ 160 and my hair is in a short bob so the use of a lot of hair products are not needed. I will never return to this salon again and I advise you to think twice before going here for your hair color if you are looking for great customer service!

She is amazing in hair coloring! She really takes her time with her client. She doesn’t just do the job, but you can tell that she cares about it. She is nice and will make suggestions based on your likes. I’m glad I trusted her with my locks!
If you’re going there for the first time, know that this place is on the second floor of the building. So the sign will be up there.

I always get a great haircut and color. I never have a problem getting an appointment and never have to wait. Bobbi listens to what you want and is honest if she thinks it won’t suit you. Very professional and reasonably priced.
