Was there Thursday. Had a spicy Thai coconut soup that was sublime, full of flavor. Also got food to go for later: a small cobble salad and the house(yeast) dressing and a BLT. Absolutely delicious. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. I love Tempo!

I live near and it is always a treat to eat here. While not a lunch person typically, I eat breakfast, my perfect«brunch» is a coffee from S’Bucks next door and a Tempo Bistro Elvis sandwich, peanut butter & jelly with banana and bacon on a whole grain bread. Usually the jelly is local made with just a touch of chili. My mouth is watering now, I think I’ll head over.

Tempo Bistro is my favorite sandwich place ever. I love the fact that it has so many vegetarian options and that all their ingredients are local. You can taste the freshness with each bite. I really like the TLT(BLT but with tempeh), but once I had the Farmers Market one, I don’t think I would switch. I’ve also had the Tempeh Waldorf and wasn’t really a fan but I think that’s just because I was expecting something else. Overall, Tempo is awesome and there’s so many other sandwiches I want to at least try.

I wish I had known about this place sooner. I’m a vegetarian and I was really happy to have found this place. I’ve only been here once but I loved it. I got some sort of tempeh sandwich with a lentil soup. I loved that the food wasn’t overly salty as most restaurents’ food are. The food was tasty, fresh with lots of flavor. There’s lots of veggies in there so I knew that I was getting a nutritious meal. I hope to go here again! And the service was great!

This small shop offers delicious sandwiches and salads made to order from very fresh ingredients. I had the BLT(a surprising offer from a mostly vegetarian place) and it was quite good. I found the inclusion of cheddar cheese odd, and would omit it on a future visit. The green salad was mostly spinach, very fresh, and came with a delicious miso dressing option. There are only a few tables in side, and a few more out back, so a lot of orders are to go. Temp Bistro is definitely a great choice when looking for a healthy alternative.

Really enjoyed both sandwiches(dined here twice for those that think I may have consumed two sandwiches in one sitting :)) I had the caprese heated and a turkey sandwich cold. They were both outstanding. The chips served with the sandwich were also very yummy. I strongly recommend giving this place a try.

I don’t even like sandwiches, but I’m still drawn to Tempo Bistro on a biweekly basis to slowly eat my way through the menu. There hasn’t been a single item I’ve been dissatisfied with, although I will say that the Blueprint Sandwich is especially delicious. Their combinations are often imaginative but always well paired and excellently executed. Super friendly staff and house made vegan baked goods are also a plus!

I will have to say after reading all the reviews and passing by this place for years I finally gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. It is small and seems to have regulars that they know by first name and favorite sandwiches. I was given a shot of the soups of the day which made it harder for me to make a decision. They both were fresh and delightful. I finally ordered the BLT and it was stacked high with field greens, bacon, fresh local tomatoes, sourdough bread and avocado. I will have to be back to try their salads and any number of their sandwiches. It has a nice sized menu offering vegan and vegetarian fares. I also ordered one of the soups of the day a Carlolina Field Peas served over rice with shredded carrots on top. It was just what was needed on this dreay day!

My girlfriend and I were delightfully surprised at how perfect everything was about our trip here. The staff was friendly the restaurant was clean and the food was delish. Can’t wait to go back. Who would have thought eating healthy could taste so good?!

This is the kind of place you get taken to when you are friends with a vegetarian. I don’t know half of the stuff they put on that sandwich, but it was tasty. Anywhere that serves Cheerwine is A-OK for me. I liked that much of their food was locally sourced, and the service was quick and friendly. There isn’t much room to eat in, just 2 small tables and a narrow lunch counter.

Fresh, good food. They have funky sandwiches and salads that are full of Veggies that you may not normally find in sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is the Sadie, pressed with tempeh. The Tempeh is local and super good.

The food is always good here. Very fresh, very organic. Every time I eat here, I am full. But it’s not the bad feeling you get when you stuff yourself full of junk food… it’s a satiated feeling from eating healthy, local grown food full of nutrients. Their sandwiches are very unique and original, and customizable to your liking. The only negative thing I would say about this place would be that sometimes the staff don’t seem very approachable/enthusiastic…it’s hit or miss. But the food, I would say, is well worth it.

This is my vegetarian haven in Gainesville. From succulent soups to neat organic teas to lovely(and fresh!) handmade sandwiches, Tempo is the place to go for a yummy vegetarian(or not!) lunch. I absolutely recommend sitting in the back near the gardens if you visit! It’s a nice eclectic environment.

Came here for a quick dinner one night after work. The place itself is a cool place, though the parking was somewhat confusing. I got a turkey sandwich that was really awesome with some great sauces, but it was really expensive for being a very nice deli sandwich. A toasted option would have been really appreciated. The portion was a little bit small as well, I was certainly snacking a little more later in the evening. I’d come back, but probably only for lunch.

Healthy fresh food. The type of food your body thanks you for after eating. The seating is a little weird but the food is well worth it. Two stars for ambiance four for the food. They have their own garden in back which is really cool.

We stopped by on our way to the Florida museum of natural history. Great place for lunch. Very healthy and great local ingredients. With that said, it’s a little pricey but you’re paying for quality. I ordered the speciality salad– the Ellis, which had their house made tempeh in it. My husband got the farmers market sandwich. We loved the bread they used for the sandwich, hearty whole wheat but soft and chewy.

If you’re searching for a quick and VERY healthy bite in Gainesville, then this is your place! Just about everything they serve is locally sourced and proudly displayed on a chalkboard near the counter. Don’t miss the specials, and soups. I had the Mafe peanut soup and it was delicious. The cool hand cuke sandwich on sourdough was outstanding! Full of veggies and a smidge of goat cheese, you felt full and refreshed after eating it. The staff were nice, the food came quick, and everyone in my party left happy. The only thing to be aware of is their limited indoor seating. Plenty outside though.

After viewing the incredibly inappropriate response from an owner to what I perceived as a constructive, thoughtful review from a fellow Unilocaler, I cannot help but to remove a star from my review. It is one thing to fundamentally disagree with what you might find in a review, but that should not change the way you treat a patron. Small businesses cannot afford to lash out against the few that do stay loyal to the higher prices and slower service of «slow food» and I am deeply disappointed to see an insulting tone taken on by the owner: someone I saw as a champion of real food in Gainesville. On a personal note, I have gone out of my way to eat at this establishment and, were I ever treated as this fellow Unilocaler was, I would have a hard time forgiving the inexcusable lashing out enough to return.
