Sunrise Sail

My boyfriend and I took the ASA 101 Keelboat class. We had two full days on a decent sized boat with just the two of us and an instructor. We were able to schedule them exactly when fit into our schedule. They were so flexible. The instructor really helped us to take control of the boat right away. We did do most of our homework in advance (they mail you the text) and if you haven’t sailed at all, you should definitely leave enough days in between your first and second class to study the materials. I had sailed before but my boyfriend had not. Our instructor gave us each the information that suited our individual levels.
The club is such an amazing bargain that we joined right away. You just can’t rent boats at this rate elsewhere. It’s a particular deal if you are available on weekdays… and the lake is more fun during the week when it is less crowded.
We loved the relaxed, sailor-​attitude of the staff! It was a great fit for us!
