Suburban Propane

If I could give this company a 0 stars I would. They basically have a monopoly of natural gas supply in certain neighborhoods, leaving no choice to customers. When I first signed up for their service of course things were wonderful! THe rate to keep the gas on was less than $ 5.00 per month plus I paid for usage in my fireplace (In Florida, which is not used often) Within 6 months they literally quadrupled! the flat rate. If I wanted to EVER use my fireplace I needed to keep it on so I did. I was ecstatic when I remembered if I ever shut off my service I would get my $ 50 security deposit back! SO I scheduled for them to come literally flip a switch and turn it off. I talked to the receptionist who told me she would send my refund through mail. FIne, except that I never received it and when I called moments ago to inquire why I was told that they had failed to mention the $ 85.00 turn off fee and so technically I owe them money! CROOKS! Stay away!
