Paul provided a fair estimate. Looking at my neighbors recently installed fence, he showed me various spots that were not done properly and expressed confidence in his teams’ ability to make a much better fence in only a day or two. After agreeing on a price, he told me that they would be out to put up the fence the next Friday or following Monday. When there was no sign of his crew on Monday, I gave him a call; he assured me that the they would be there the next day, if not definitely Wednesday. Tuesday = no fence. Wednesday = no fence. When I called him Wednesday afternoon, he does not answer. After not taking calls from my cell, I gave him a call that Friday from my office phone. When he answers, he explains a variety of unforeseen events took place and that he would definitely have it done by the middle of the next week. While on the phone, I express to him that I know its not a big job and if his team has more lucrative projects in the work, please let me know and I will just contact another fence company. Once again, Paul assures me that his team will get it done by the middle of the next week. …Needless to say, they never came, he’s never returned any of my voicemails and no longer answers my calls from my office or cell. This ordeal has dragged out for a month — we could have had our fence done by anyone else if he would have just been honest. Even after giving him numerous opportunities to pass on the project — he continued to blow hot air and remain unaccountable and unresponsive. After reading other reviews, I feel foolish for thinking my experience was going to be much different, but he just has no hesitation in lying. Do yourself a favor and avoid Gainesville Fence.
