Don’t know if it was just a bad day, but the bacon, egg, and cheese I got was disgusting. I actually threw it away after two bites.

This place will always be special to me. Went every Sunday morning for a biscuit before church as a kid and now as an adult, I stop in every time I’m back in the neighborhood during breakfast hours. It’s got an old Mayberry type atmosphere to it which I love. Needs to be more places like it these days. The biscuits are pretty good as well, just as I remember them being as a kid.

If you need a biscuit for breakfast in the morning your worries are over. Absolutely delicious with every choice available, including salmon.

Delicious, cheap and quick! We grabbed two biscuits for $ 7 and enjoyed every bite. It’s attached to the BP gas station. The inside is cute but very small– they have some beverages but the coffee looked scary! Cash only!

It took two or three trips circling past this spot for us to find it. There’s virtually no sign, so just look for all the cars in the BP gas station parking lot. The Biscuit Shoppe is attached to the gas station, but does have its own separate entrance. There are three, two person tables inside, but most of their business is to-go for good reason, as they apparently fail their health inspection frequently. A pork tenderloin biscuit is my weathervane for biscuit quality. The tenderloin here is great. It was simply seasoned with salt and pepper, grilled(not fried, which I appreciate) and fairly juicy. However, the biscuit was disappointing. Though flour flecked and obviously homemade(you can even see them rolling them out fresh in the kitchen), I found it doughy and slightly tough, suggesting overworked dough. I prefer a flaky/buttery biscuit, and this one is not it. However, though the biscuits aren’t my cup of tea, the line was out-the-door at 9am on a Saturday morning, so they obviously have quite the loyal following. Coffee was acceptable, and other beverages are available by the can. Just remember to bring cash as they do not accept credit or debit cards.

Ok, I was looking for a breakfast place while passing through G’ville. Unilocalers rated this place tops. I passed it 3 times, it’s well hidden little hole in the wall.(in the best way) next to the BP station. This is no nonsense, we do it this way, not your way simple food. I totally get why the locals love this place. Just finished the ones that I got to go. They taste just as good in Florida!!! I’m sure the eggs and country ham did wonders for my heart muscle but life is short, right? Recommended!!!

Thumbs way up :) We were looking for an alternative to Longstreet Café for biscuits on Sundays, and this one is now a favorite. I had a sausage and egg biscuit, and the sausage was as big as a wendys hamburger. I couldn’t finish it. The biscuit had flecks of four on it and was cooked to perfection. Being Mother’s Day, my husband said the line was out the door with all men picking up «to go» orders. Way to go Biscuit Shoppe! Southern breakfast at its finest. Long live the South :)

Stan’s(owner) biscuits are the best in town… no doubt ! Local’s fight for parking spots to get his biscuits.
