This place is just ok for me. I do love cracker barrel but everytime I come here I noticed a order is messed up! We came on a friday around 11am so they really weren’t that busy. We got sat and waited about 8 – 10 mins before anyone greeted us! We gave our order when finally someone came and got our drink order. My husband asked what the veggie of the day was and the server said he didn’t know because he literally just walked in the door. What? I guess that’s why we waited so long to be greeted. Why sit us in a section with no server? I ordered the catfish dinner(spicy grilled). When our food came out, it was fried! Someone in our group ordered hash browns and didn’t get it. The food runner that served our food knew about this and didn’t tell anyone. My food never came out and neither did the hash browns. It was only until our server came up and gave us drink refills we had to tell him. He came out quickly with the hashbrowns but he said my food was going to be another 4 mins. We already waited about 8 mins before he came up to us. By the time I got my food everyone was already done eating. Last time I came here I ordered dumplings and they said they were out of it. How is that possible? I had to wait until they were finished cooking. This cracker barrel isn’t the finest.

OK so let me state upfront that I did not actually dine here. This review is about the store. We needed to stop here as a friend was in need of some chap stick and only likes certain kinds. We were supposed to just stop in, grab the chap stick, and get back on the road. But all 3 of us got distracted by all the fun stuff in the store. Housewares, gifts, treats, clothing, accessories, etc. Wow! I don’t remember Cracker Barrel having so many great things. Some of it was a bit too pricey. There was a decent sale/clearance section, but there wasn’t anything I really wanted. I ended up buying some earrings. Not that I needed any more for my collection. However, amazing given that I intended to buy nothing. The cashier was also lovely to deal with.

NIGHTMARE! The store was chocked full of people waiting to get into the restaurant. We had to wait 15 mins while surrounded by loud, overweight impatient people. Once seated the vast menu had the prototypical fare. My husband, eyes bigger than his stomach should be, order the country sampler. It was not real food! The grits where water and chunky with no flavor, the bacon was — I don’t know what it was — it looked like a piece of fake bacon that kids have in their play kitchen. The sausage«patty» looks like the McDonald patties and tasted literally like there was paper in it. While my husband LOVES anything sweet the apples were so sweet they were inedible. Ohh the ham — now that looked and tasted normal but far to salty to eat. The waitress was just lovely and the coffee was very good.

Does CB ever disappoint? No they do not! Great coffee, Uncle Hershel’s favorite, in front of a blazing fire… ahhhhhh.

Our visit started out fine until the food arrived. My eggs were undercooked and my mom’s pancakes were old and hard. Nobody came to check back on us. I was almost finished with my breakfast and we still had not had someone check back on us. There were 3 or 4 other servers that came in to the section. I counted and there were 7 dirty tables that nobody started cleaning off until after we made our complaint. Mom wanted fresh pancakes but still nobody came. Both of our drinks were empty so I finally asked for a manager. She came to the table and listened to our complaint and eve though she did offer my mom something else she really didn’t seem all that anxious to help make our experience better. She told us she was understaffed but it really wasn’t all that busy and like I already mentioned there were several other servers that had been in the section. Not a good experience at all.

Big Boy Country Breakfast! I love this place. Great food and great settings. Only down side is that they don’t like Trucks parking in their huge parking lot :-(

I love Cracker Barrel, and all day breakfasts. Unfortunately this was my first negative experience. Server never came, and 10 min in the Trainer stopped by and took our order. We then waited 20 min for food, and no server stopped by in between. We flagged someone down right before our food came and asked for biscuits. When the food came, they didn’t poach the eggs correctly. They were overlooked and hard. The server took the eggs back and when we were done eating everything she brought back replacement eggs that were cooked in the same way. I said, no that is still wrong. I asked just for sunny side up eggs, and they came 5 min later. We spent over an hour mainly waiting. I won’t let this sway my opinion of the restaurants as a whole, but unfortunately a friend in our party had never been before and will not go back.

I usually love Cracker Barrel but not this one. I sat for about 10 minutes before having to get up to find a server. Several walked by but never spoke. Finally ordered a grill chicken salad which was very small for the price. Plus again I had to get someone to bring me silverware.?One of the waiters Decided he needed to refill all the condiments in my table and sweep. On a positive note the host, cashier and lady in the store were super nice. I will not eat there again. There are other Cracker Barrels in the area I will go to.

Most Cracker Barrels are located immediately off the Interstate which makes them supremely easy to access if you’re driving something bigger than a regular car. This one is a few turns off the highway and so that may be something you should take into consideration if you’re driving an RV or a trailer. Located next to the Gaffney Outlet Mall, this is the perfect spot to stop and carb up before or after your shop. And just like every other CB I’ve been to, it’s the same shop of trinkets and such, the same menu, and the same formula food. Which isn’t bad. If you know what you like, then CB is the place for you. 15 minutes from parking lot to breakfast for me today. Uncle Hershel’s Favorite with a grilled pork chop(I think the ham, bacon and the sausage is too salty) with hashbrown casserole, two poached eggs, grits and gravy. Oh, and two of their awesome biscuits. Service was quite good as well.

It’s Cracker Barrel, what do you want? Well, I’ll tell you what you should want, Campfire Chicken! That’s what! By far, I mean by 500 miles far, the best thing they’ve ever introduced on the menu(that I just so happened to witness). $ 8.99 for ½ a chicken roasted to perfection(though a bit heavy on the salt), an ear of corn, 4 sticks of carrots, 2 potatoes, and some tomatoes and onions. If this is some healthy campaign they’re launching, it’s a home run. THIS is home comin’ done riiiight! 5 star for CB friendliness. 5 star for my girls being happy. 5 stars for this awesome delicious addition. And minus 4 stars for all the other unhealthy faux food they serve, so it’s still a lot of stars, just because I want enough people to try it so they’ll keep it on the menu.

When checking out, I was asked how my food was. Delicious! For being mediocre ranked food. I get it… the customer age group is 55+ on most days… but why is everything so blanddddd. Bland grits, plain Mac n’ cheese and blah biscuits and gravy. I remember it being so much more flavorful when I was a kid traveling cross country. I went in hoping to fill my belly with down home southern cooking… and left with disappointment.

We stopped at this location while traveling to NC from GA. We had a limited amount of time, and we were able to get in and out in less than an hour! Our server was wonderful, very attentive, and even gave us our pops to go. :-) This is a place that I’ll consider stopping at again when I head back to GA!
