My family and I have been going here on a semi regular basis over the last few years, mostly based on hot dog cravings and the occasional need to change it up from Cook Out. We have always enjoyed the food here, and to this day, still do. However, one Saturday in April 2015 changed my whole perspective. The line was rather long, and wait times were excessive. I finally got to the window to order, and told them I wanted 8 hot dogs, 4 of them plain, and 4 of them with chili. I also ordered 2 fries and 2 tots. Cashier rung it up and I paid my bill. After about 10 minutes, we got our order and headed down the road. When we arrived in Holly Springs, I opened up our bag, to find out they gave us all fries, and 8 hot dogs with chili on them. I called RJ’s to tell them about the mixup, and the owner said that’s what I ordered :/They asked me to come back and they’ll fix it. Oh they fixed it alright! I got back there, and the woman at the window said they will not make my order right, and rudely gave my money back in exchange for the food, all this in front of customers standing around in the breezeway. I’m generally easy going, but this one had my jaw dropping to the ground. In all my life, rarely have I seen such horrible customer service. And the whole mistake was on them! I’m sorry, but you don’t treat your customers like that. Unless they change ownership, I will never return to RJ’s. Someone please post on here when they do, so I can start giving them my business again.

I had to give it 1 star because there is no option for 0 stars. I am only speaking of the custard ice cream. I cant even begin to describe the gritty nasty taste. I can’t speak about the food because when you can screw up the ice cream this bad I will never try the food. Buyer be where.

Their beef hot dogs are amazing. You get tons of fries with your order. The cheeseburgers are just okay. They are Carolina style with mustard, chili and onions. Milk shakes are good, not amazing but solid. Fast service. In short, when you want an unhealthy fun snack, this is the place to be.

I would consider RJ’s a classic southern hot dog place. The fries here are fantastic and the onion rings are great as well. It’s kinda a dive but the food makes up for it.

Wish I could give 2.5 stars. This review is based on ordering food from RJ’s through . Hubby and I each got a burger and fries and he got a hot dog all the way as well. It was pretty cheap and would’ve been even much cheaper if we had picked it up instead of paying the 3.99 delivery fee + tip but oh, well. Live and learn. The burgers were pretty good, the fries weren’t anything special, but we still managed to eat all of them, so they must not have been too bad. They forget the Coke for my husband’s combo which was annoying. But at least when I called Fuquay Takeout to let them know, they offered to credit us for the combo since RJ’s had closed in the few minutes since our delivery(8:00, I’m assuming). A little disappointing though that neither any RJ’s employee or the delivery driver noticed the missing drink. Will continue to order through Fuquay Takeout since they have quite a few restaurant options(Bellini coming soon!) but if we have RJ’s again, we’ll definitely pick it up since it’s not worth the delivery fee & tip, in my opinion.
