Avoid Kriskens and Master Spa. I bought a new Master Spa Twilight 7.25 back in July 2011 from Kriskens. We have had trouble with it each and every year it has required service. On a couple of occasions I was concerned the water level was going down, I called Kriskens and was told it was probably just from evaporation and use even though I told him I was putting in 25 gallons per week. They told me they would check it out, we never saw them come to the house but when I called them they told me it was fine. This year as I emptied my tub I noticed several of the LED lenses were cracked and the lights were not working. When I originally purchased the tub I did not want lights as I thought I would never use them. I like to look up at the sky at night versus hot tub lights. I have used them maybe 2 or 3 times. My vendor Kriskens spas told me you might as well get the LED’s as there was not a price difference and it would increase resale value if I ever went to sell it, he also stated they were LED’s so they would never go bad. Well back to the present, I contacted Kriskens to let them know about my LED lenses issue, they told me it was a simple fix and those pieces /covers are just a couple of dollars. He called me back 3 weeks later to let me know with Master Spas this is an issue and it is much more complicated than he expected and it would be about $ 1,000. He admitted he did not know how to do it and it was just an estimate. I work in Fort Wayne so I stopped in to Master Spa’s to discuss the issue. They brought out a service technician named Dan that understood my issue and states it happens all the time and it was not a complicated fix that would only take an hour or two. He stated as many as they have had to do they really have it down to a science. He stated he would have his service manager give me a call to get it scheduled. A couple of days later their Service Manager Len WineBrenner sends me an email stating the repairs would be $ 1,232 for lights I did not even want in the 1st place on a $ 6,000 tub. His response was the complete opposite of his installer Dan stating it was a complicated fix. Again multiple times with multiple representatives of Master Spa telling me different answers. While I do enjoy the hot tub life it was a mistake to buy from Master Spa as they do not stand behind their product. There are a number of good spa companies out there, I strongly encourage you to look at a company that will stand behind their product, I already have plans to scrap my 4 year old Master Spa tub for a different brand.
