I was encouraged by the outside appearance and the advertised amenities. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken when we arrived. Our room keys were keyed wrong and I stood at the front desk for over ten minutes waiting on the only worker on duty on a Friday night. And there was a large yellow stain on the sheet of one of our beds. The employee who was called to check it out stated that it’s fine. Washer broken? There was supposed to be a hot breakfast which actually consisted of what eggs and biscuits and gravy so there’s that. The pastries were actually ok. We only had the option for tiny plates which made eating biscuits and gravy impossible. We opted to go to the local convenience store for breakfast. Plus, there’s nothing to do or eat in Fulton really. Would not recommend.

We stayed here while visiting relatives in Fulton. I’ve stayed here a number of times previously, and have been satisfied with it. Not blown away, but it was OK, for a reasonable price. Now, it appears to have gone downhill. One issue was the price of one of the rooms. The first night we stayed, we had two rooms, essentially identical, right across the hall from each other. For one, we were charged $ 80, for the other $ 130. I asked at checkout why the price difference. The front desk clerk tried to look into it, but could come up with no explanation. For $ 80, the room had issues but may have been considered marginally acceptable for the price. For $ 130, there is no remote way this could be acceptable. The breakfast was certainly sub-standard. The room-temperature stuff(sweet rolls, bagels, etc.) was uninteresting but OK. Anything they tried to serve hot was terrible — scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, etc. The room itself had some issues. For one thing, we couldn’t lock the door when we left the room for any reason! We could re-enter without using the key. Second, there were some odd electrical issues. Bedside lights that refused to turn off with the switch(they had to be unplugged to get them to go off), for example. A floor lamp that wouldn’t turn on. A light in the shower which there was no way to turn on. Similarly, a light over the sink with no way to turn on. All in all, a very disappointing stay. Next time we visit our Fulton relatives, we will certainly pursue other alternatives.

Pros: This hotel boasts a good value. A comfortable bed, nice tv, free WiFi, and very friendly employees to name a few. The pool is better than many hotel pools I’ve seen and not crowded at all. They have coffee and tea available all day, so I didn’t have to hassle with the in room coffee maker. Cons: Breakfast was sufficient, though not the best and the hotel is a bit dated. Some new towels and blankets would go a long way. Bottom line, it’s great for the price. I’d definitely stay here again if I was coming through town.

Oh dear God, I can hear every foot step upstairs! Do they ever sleep? Maybe it’s people walking through the upstairs hallway? Could it possibly be filled with Irish line dancers? What are the odds? Maybe it’s the fact that this is the crappiest built motel I’ve ever stayed in. What makes it worse is that you can’t turn the A/C fan on for fresh air and white noise. Your only option is to turn it way down cold and sleep with the TV on.
