I’m not into crystals, tea leaf reading or tarot cards but I still love the Owl’s Lantern for the monthly drum circle. I study West African drumming but sometimes I like to just drum for the joy of it.
Pam makes everyone feel welcome by providing both traditional and non-​traditional instruments, encouraging everyone to share and play, and allowing everyone to have a voice. There’s structure but it doesn’t overpower the groove. There’s a good vibe but it’s not overly woo-​woo for people who are there to drum but aren’t super spiritual about it. Your personal drumming can send a message to the universe, but the focus of the group is truly just to drum together for the joy of it.
Other great things about this drum circle are that, unlike beach drum circles, everyone is fully dressed, sober, and super kind and accepting of each other.
Totally recommend this little drum circle.
