I came here because anything is better than going to the Olive Garden. Food is mediocre. The restaurant looks cool.

One of my old time favorite places to eat near Disneyland. Ordered the Classic Pasta dish for lunch with Sicilian meat balls and a side of steamed broccoli with cheese. Pasta was just right and the sauce was very flavorful with a chunky texture. Staff members all friendly and greet you with a smile. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Great spot only 10min from Disneyland.

All though not authentic Italian this is one of my favorite spots to have pasta. The food is always fresh and made to order. Pasta a bit over cooked but that’s their way and I’m ok with that. Flavors are good to my taste. It’s got a nice ambiance for both couples and family meals. I have been a fan for over 20 years.

No wonder this place is barely a 3-star. First time at this location and ran into a smart-ass server named Sarah(now come to think about it can’t even be sure this name is true… you’l know why later.) anyhow. came here along on a Friday night right at 9 P.M. Ordered a meat sauce spaghetti but what I really have in mind is meat sauce pasta with angel hair. Had Sarah repeated my order I will probably correct myself. But of course she didn’t. Not only so, she asked me if she can take the condiments away after I just put some black paper on my bread… I looked at her for 1 good second and then my food and then back to her again, told her I still need it. «Oh that’s okay!» she said. Well, it’s okay with you but not okay with me. totally ruined my appetite. Asked for a box from the busboy and when Sarah comes again, I asked her when is her shift ended. «Oh, our store actually closing at 9:30 tonight.» Clearly she knew what she did because that’s a straight out lie. Walking out of the store at 9:30 and people are still coming in and there’s no sign of any kind saying they close at 9:30. Google’s information said they close at 11P.M. on Saturdays. Sarah, you just cost your store 3 stars.(OSF is always a 4 if not 5!) P. S. Known OFS since 1994. Meat sauce is designed for angel hair. Can’t imagine it with any other pasta.

Definitely coming back to try their other dishes but when I come and dine here, I feel like it will be hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great and sometimes it just sucks. If they can get the service up to par, I’d come and try more foods frequently.

I was really expecting more out of this place. Thank god I didn’t spend that much money because I came during lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty but the service was a bit slow. The lunch special was under $ 10 per person for a single entrée and«appetizer» a salad or a minestrone soup. The bread wasn’t soft and fluffy like I wish it was. The soup was whatever, I really didn’t care for it. Maybe I don’t know what minestrone tastes like? But I prefer Olive Garden. I got the white clam linguine, which was a little salty. The texture of the noodles weren’t that good, it was a bit too firm. I tried my friend’s spaghetti and it was pretty similar in how much I didn’t like it. I personally wouldn’t come back.

So I have only been to this place once but I absolutely loved it! I went during the week for dinner and was seated almost immediately. I ordered the pasta with browned butter and mizithra sauce. It’s a very generous serving and it is delicious! It’s a very rich dish but not too rich to where you can’t enjoy it. With this you also get a salad and your choice of ice cream after the meal! The service was friendly and fast and I will be returning soon!

The only things I like about The Old Spaghetti Factory is the décor, ambiance and Spumoni. My first visit to this location started off with a less than enthusiastic server who seemed shy and mumbled to us whenever he visited the table. I ordered the Mizithra pasta because I was told it was the best thing on the menu. It was barely room temperature when it arrived, and I was highly disappointed. The salad was also limp and soggy. Later that night, I’m certain that I had food poisoning and I developed a migraine the following morning. I really wasn’t anxious to return anytime soon. However, just one week later, against my better judgement, we visited again because we had a friend in town who wanted to meet there. The server we had on this visit had a lot more enthusiasm, was super nice to speak to, and overall really kept us well taken care of. I avoided the Mizithra like the plague, and instead had the meatballs. They were definitely better than my first dining experience. I’m happy to say that for the second visit, I didn’t feel any sickness. Stepping back just a bit to the service: The Old Spaghetti Factory now requires their wait staff to recite from a script when greeting a table. Many chain restaurants are doing this now, and it’s not cool. I’d much rather enjoy the banter and free flowing conversation from a server than feel as though I’m being spoken at. I won’t return to The Old Spaghetti Factory, nor will I recommend it to friends and family.

I went to this location before going to cover a Anaheim Ducks game. The wait wasn’t bad at all, the waitress was outstanding, and the food? Always a hit. I love the environment of this location– it feels larger than the other OSF I have been in. I had the tortellini with browned butter and mizithra cheese– it was fantastic! Plus, the bread they bring out it always so great. I will be back to this location, maybe even this weekend!

First, let me say that I’ve been to the this restaurant many times for our family get togethers and it’s always been a positive experience. The parking is a bit a problem in the past because it’s near the train station but we arrived on Sunday at opening at 11:30 and had no problem. My problem was not the food or service but with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The entry where the hostess resides smelled musty and the Men Restroom smelled of urine even though the restroom appeared clean. Also, we ordered appetizers and the dishes had to be sent back because the dishes were dirty. I had no problem with the service. We were seated almost immediately and we got a large room for our 20-something guests and our server was very professional and kind. We got our drinks and appetizers in a timely manner and our food was piping hot. We got refills for our drinks and was very happy with the service, A minor complaint was that the coffee refills seemed limiting If I had one complaint with my food it was that my green salad was not as crisp and fresh as it could of been. My dish, the spaghetti and meatballs was good and the broccoli was cooked to perfection, not over-cooked. The bread was hot and fresh and the Spumoni ice cream was very cold

First time here and I wasn’t a fan :(I had their chicken marcel and it was extremely salty. The pasta was smothered with salty cheese. And A LOT of the salty cheese. I only enjoyed my chicken marcel that was barely dry so that was okay to say the least. My boyfriend had their lasagna and we both thought it could of been more for their price but it wasn’t to die for. I was just disappointed with my chicken marcel that wasn’t satisfying. I only had one big problem. My chicken marcel didn’t come out at the same time with my pasta, so my plate was half empty without the chicken and my server told me that my chicken is still in the oven. I saw everybody around me get their chicken marcel so I ended up waiting another 30 minutes or so for the chicken marcel. When the time came, it came out with another side of pasta(which also had tons of cheese) I decided to go that because that’s just too much pasta. They forgot about me and my chicken marcel :(My poor tummy was starving watching everybody around me get their dish quicker than mine but it’s okay it wasn’t the best chicken marcel ever.

This is a review for a lunch we had on Saturday Nov. 21, 2015. It’s taken me awhile to get around to this because, frankly, it breaks my heart that a place I love so much was so. so not okay. We arrived in the afternoon, around 2 or 3, to have lunch before going to Disneyland. The BF and I love OSF and I’m on a mission to hit as many of their locations as I can. I’ve been to ones in three different states and they all taste the same, which was most important. That is, until we got here. The restaurant itself was not busy, but there were tables that sat needing to be cleared for some time. We were seated at a table for two in front of the caboose, which would’ve been fine except for the glaring sunlight reflecting off the floor into my face. Knowing that patience would soon fix that, we went ahead and ordered. Our salads were fine, as usual. But the bread, which arrived after the salads(they were«baking some fresh right now» when we first asked for some) was much less like fresh bread and more like the bread that the market has in the bakery section to hand pick at the end of the day. Crumbs were unavoidable as they flew in every direction with each push of the knife. I was finding breadcrumbs in places long after we left. Then there’s the spaghetti. His was ok, he got the mizithra. Myself, I enjoy the Managers special, with Mizithra & Meat Sauce. Because why choose just one? When he placed the plate in front of me, we both immediately looked at the meat sauce with curiosity. Usually deep in color and thick, this was clearly some watered down sauce with meat thrown in. It’s consistency was more like a watery chili than a rich meat sauce. I was hopeful that the taste would be more like the meat sauce I’d dreamt about on the long ride down from the valley. And it was. n’t. It wasn’t at all what I am used to. Each bite was like sinking further into a pit of despair as I did something I never do: I didn’t finish my spaghetti. I left a portion of the meat water… I mean«sauce»… on my plate. Clinging to the shred of happiness I had left for this meal, we ordered our spumoni. Surely this can’t go wrong! After all, it’s probably just a container of ice cream delivered, same as every where else, how can you mess that up! Our silver bowls arrived. With already melting scoops of chocolate. Oh, I know, there was A BITE of the other two flavors. To the side and bottom of my bowl, I think maybe in his, nowhere near as much as mine. So, that happened. Our water took forever to refill, and when it was there was no attention paid to the water dripping onto the table, because why bother. Our server, though polite, wasn’t around much other than to drop off food. And the tables nearby were eventually cleaned of their used plates and glasses and breadcrumbs were swept from the tabletops and floors. In the end, I love that the OSF has an entire 3-course meal for less than $ 10, but we would have been better off saving the money and instead getting a corn dog at the house of mouse. We won’t be making this mistake again.

I recently dined here after not having ventured here since my college days(almost 10 years ago). It’s still basically the same. The décor hasn’t changed one bit, and I love this location. I feel like I’m walking back in time when I see the old train cars inside, the big padded chairs, the chandeliers, and the old paintings. Their menu has changed quite a bit from the simple menu I remember from years ago. There were things besides the basic marinara, alfredo, clam sauce, and mizithra pastas. They had crab ravioli, and spinach tortellini and all kinds of other stuff. I had the ravioli this time, because I just wanted to stray from the basics. They were big ravioli stuffed with cheese and crab, a bit salty for my taste, but not bad. I was also granted the opportunity to sample the lasagna(from my boyfriend), and it’s as good as I remember it. Nice thick sauce, large helpings of meat and other fillings, and baked perfectly. Of course, as always, you get your three course meal. Salad or soup to start, your entrée, and then dessert(ice cream). You also can’t have a meal here without having an Italian Cream Soda. That’s definitely one of those nostalgic drinks you have that reminds you of your childhood. Overall, the service was good. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She was attentive and our food came out pretty quickly despite being seated next to a very larger party that ordered just before us. The area is always crowded on weekend nights(Friday-Sunday) and parking can be sort of a nightmare, so beware of that. Other than that, it’s a fun experience, they’re great for groups, and sometimes you just need good ol’ simple Italian food to quench your cravings.

I tried here for first tome last night. My table had 5 people and we all ordered Spaghetti! I got something called gallic with gluten free pasta, and actually it was really good! The soup i picked, was like they put every rest food in it. And the taste was gross. I dont know they have other soups i could choose, But my server did not explain about it. Even the salad dressing, she just asked which dressing do you want. She seemed like she is tired but we all were first time visiting here, so that was kind of disappointed.

Went here with my boyfriend’s family due to my BF’s childhood nostalgia of the Old Spaghetti Factory. All pasta classics are served with 100% durum semolina spaghetti and served with their famous 3-course meal. Their famous 3-course meals are served with hot fresh baked bread, soup or salad, and their signature spumoni ice cream. I ordered the Manager’s Favorite, and I got Mizithra cheese and mushroom sauce. For my appetizer, I got the clam chowder. The combo of the Mizithra cheese and mushroom sauce was good, especially the sauteed seasoned mushrooms. I wasn’t a big fan of the spumoni ice cream. Spumoni is Italian ice cream made with layers of different flavors. It’s usually cherry, pistachio, and chocolate, which is what the Old Spaghetti Factory serves. Reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream. I didn’t like the cherry flavor though. If you’re in groups of 4 or less, you can sit in the train dining car. And it’s right next to the Fullerton train station, so you can see and hear the trains come by. Great spot for railfans!

Great location and great feel to this restaurant. Lots of nooks to sit in but the real star is the pasta sauces they make. Had the white clam sauce which was creamy and not the traditional brothy. Ate it like I was starving for three days.

Two of my friends are obsessed with this place. They come here like every single week and once in a while, I would tag along. The food at this place are decent, nothing too special. However, every entrée comes with a choice of soup or salad and free dessert at the end, totally worth the money and not to mention the free bread at the beginning. One of my friends loves the Spinach Ravioli at this place, she always ordered the same thing every time we come here. The Strawberry Lemonade at this place is delicious/refreshing and the Italian Cream Soda is out of this world. On my first visit, I ordered an Italian Soda and my friends kept telling me that I can actually take the glass home. I did not believe them and I thought they just want to get me in trouble. I asked the waiter and it turned out that you can actually take the glass home.

My son and I really like this location of the Old Spaghetti Factory. We’ve been here a few times in the last several months and found the service and food to be really good here! This restaurant is so old! I used to come here when I was a child so this place is really nostalgic for me. It’s really fun taking my son here now. He loves the antiques, and we both like loading up on the carbs while we’re here! We always start with the bread. It’s served warm, soft, and delicious. The garlic butter is great with the bread, but you have to make sure you ask for it. While my son gets the apple sauce, I usually order the salad. Both of these are good here. My son is a huge fan of the pasta at OSF. He gets his with the meat sauce. I usually order my spaghetti with the meat sauce too. I think the lunch portion of the pasta is a bit small so I order the dinner portion and have something left over for later. The dinner also comes with the spumoni. Yum! My son and I love the spumoni here. It’s a great way to end our meal! The other desserts look good here too, and we will have to try the Mud Pie and Chocolate Mousse Cake here sometime! Service is helpful and friendly here. We are usually seated fairly quickly. Our drinks are refilled often. They also bring over extra bread and butter right when we’re finished with the first loaf, and they constantly check on us throughout our meal. This Old Spaghetti Factory has good food, great prices, and wonderful service in a really cool historical building! We’ll definitely be back soon!
