Do not go here. Go to Fantastic Cuts, or Sport’s Hair, Or Super Sam’s and get a Student Stylist cut #3 so I can continue to laugh at you. I need you to stay away from here because I need to laugh at your uneven sloppy hair cut while I look clean and sharp because I go here. I bring my 9 year old with me and we leave leave feeling new.
If you need a sensitive atmosphere with a hug and a led flavored lollipop, do not come here. Please do not come here. If you do get the courage to go, then I suggest going on Monday (They are closed.)
This shop is not just a cool place to get your cut, it is also part of what makes Placentia good. You might catch an episode of Three’s Company on the flat screen, or rock to the Flamin’ Groovies while you are there, just because they feel like it. Local business that runs by it’s own rules and respects the customers… why would you support that?

Like others have said, do not take your kids here. The cussing and adult subject matter gets old fast. I have been a few times and each time its the same mindless banter between the staff. I stopped going there because of it and the $ 20 + tip haircut.

So came here cause of reviews, I called and book an appointment with Manny at 3pm. Waited 45 min then this other guys walks in and Manny tells the guy I’ll be done shorty, I didn’t bother asking him that I waited just not professional place and also not for kids

Got a cut there yesterday. Probably won’t be going back. The tall dude that cut my hair probably shouldn’t use a straight razor got I nicked in four separate places including the side of my face. My hair needed to cut be cut not my skin…
Recommendation make an appointment… don’t leave it up to the luck of the draw you might get stuck with someone who sucks.

My son went here today and could not be more pleased. He is 15 and extremely self conscious. He also has autism and it makes him extremely sensitive. After years of a standard buzz he decided to let it grow out so he could get a real cut. He is very sensitive to environments and has steered away from most barbers. Until today. He came home so happy. He said he really liked the place and told his twin brother who is still shaggy to go there. He said his barber Manny was very nice. It is more than we would usually pay but to have a happy boy it is worth it. Now to teach him how to style it!

Got a haircut from Clint for the first time. Good haircut. Will be back. Spent some time with me. Nice barbershop with skilled barbers.

Clean shop, competitive prices and quality staff. This place has a classic throw back feel with a punk edge. Lots of character with lots of characters. I had to find a new shop and always wanted to try this place, turns out I couldn’t have come at a better time with new management. Clint constantly continues to improve the shop from the best to even better. Friendly and personable people, staff and customers, everyone laughing and joking. I always sit with Manny but would feel comfortable with any of the staff cutting my hair.
Just had to clarify the girl is AMBER (saw some reviews that couldn’t remember her name) and she rocks! Very talented and experienced I always see her client’s men and women leave with quality cuts!

Just got hair cut from Amanda. This is by far the best hair cut I’ve gotten in a long time. It’s hard to find good barbers and I’m super picky about my hair and I’m sure everyone is but Amanda hooked it up and fixed the mistakes of other in the past. Thank you so much for the fresh cut! I’ll definitely be back!

Amber is a-​mazing. She took her time to get it done right and she’s very detail which is a huge plus in my rating. Cant be happier. Will b back !!

Followed Manny from a previous barber shop to this one and I’ve always had a great hair cut from him. Guy really knows what hes doing! Very friendly and funny. Be sure to ask for Manny when you go and you wont be dissapointed

Stop looking for the best barbershop, because Scallywag Barber is the spot! I’ve been getting my cut here for a few years, back when it was Let it Rock. Clint redid the shop, renamed it, brought on some new talent, and now they are killing it even more than before. I’ve got a cut from both Clint and Amber, and they never let me down. Solid spot, solid deal, solid crew.

I’ve always believed pictures mean more than words. Best haircut and beard trim I have ever had is from Amber. She is the only person that I allow to touch both my beard and hair. If getting compliments about how your hair and/​or beard looks after every encounter with Amber is not a testament to how skilled she is, then I don’t know what is. She is a tattooed master cutter with those shears. You won’t be dissapointed.

This place always does an awesome job on my boyfriend’s hair. It’s definitely unconventional but if you want a fun, hip place to get a haircut, this is the place. Amber and Manny rock. They’re always nice. Yes, the sarcasm is free flowing but it’s all in good fun. My boyfriend always leaves looking dapper. Great place. Good price.

What can I say? This place is awesome and Amber always has given me the best fades. This spot is so awesome and Amber is so good I would drive from Irvine just to get the best service. Although I have recently left California, I am look forward to coming back to visit and get a haircut from Amber.

Randomly found this place on Unilocal,and I was in the area. It had a great rating, so I figured I’d check it out. The place was really cool inside; like a throwback barbershop, with a kinda hip, punkish vibe. They had a tv playing old Roseanne reruns, so I was already sold.
The best part though obviously, was the cut. I’m pretty sure her name was Amberlin, or Amber Lynn (sp?), but either way, she had tons of tattoos, was super nice, she knew exactly what she was doing & knew what I wanted, & gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Not to mention, the prices were so affordable, so I could tip her really well, and she deserved it.

Great, old-​school barbershop… You know the kind where you sit and talk and joke around about everything going on while getting a great haircut and an extremely close straight razor shave. My face hasn’t felt so smooth since before I had facial hair! Clint is great and so are the rest of the staff. I took my grandfather with me and he enjoyed going to an old school barber like this. I definitely recommend them for a haircut or a great shave, you won’t reget it!

Close to my work, all the barbers are good at what they do. If you need a fade, this is the spot.

If you like to hear idiots trying to speak intelligently about politics while threading the F word in every 4^th word, this is your place. As a relative of someone that is disabled and struggles with negative stereotypes every day, I also found the use of the word «retard» 6 or 7 times in a 5 minute span pretty awesome too.

I started coming to Clint two years ago, and my two sons also come here for their cuts.
Clint knows what he is doing and always takes care of you. The hot towel and razor shave makes you feel really clean.
Clint is down to earth and we have some interesting conversations. To me this is like the old time barber shop where you could hang out and pass the time. The place is relaxed and there is always music or movies playing.
Currently the shop is in the middle of a remodel but he should be finished in a few weeks, so don’t let that put you off.
