Clean, friendly, delicious. Best of all they are not stingy with their fish. Love love this place.

My first impression was, «Quiet, nice little family owned restaurant perfect for a relaxing lunch!» Sometimes it’s hard to find a quiet restaurant during the busy lunch hour. Although Sato Sushi can be filled, somehow the vibe inside is still very calm and quaint. The lunch specials are amazing with options including sushi, sashimi, udon, cold soba, and tempura combinations. The fish is super fresh and their service is exceptional. Things are easy to go as well if you just want to pick up lunch and call ahead. One of my favorite things to order is the sashimi platter and the rainbow roll on the side. The lasting impression? «One of my go-to sushi spots and favorite Japanese restaurants in OC!»

Hands down the best tasting sushi in Fullerton. I only wish they had a happy hour! It seems this place is usually empty, likely due to their lack of happy hour and specials.

This used to be ultimate favorite sushi restaurant — and today it definitely did not make the grade. My favorite roll: sunset cali roll was not even close to what it was. We had a $ 100+ bill — we waited for a hand roll(last of our order) for over 20’minutes! We actually are still waiting for it. The sushi chef is so unfriendly. The food we had was good but the service is sub-par. Our server was very apologetic — but it’s not her fault. The fail lands on the sushi chef’s feet. Maybe we’ll be back if there is another chef at the helm. :(

I’m not a sushi expert, but I’ve had my share of it from Fountain Valley to Burbank. Sato Sushi has got to be one of the best. I have to limit the number of times I eat there because I can honestly say that I would easily eat there three times a week or more! The fish is always fresh, the prices are fair, and the service is great. Plus it’s nice when you walk in and they ask if you want the same table and the same order. I highly recommend Sato Sushi.

Went here for lunch and ordered a CA roll, firecracker roll and Sato special roll to go. It took about 20 min for my order to be ready. Several of their tables were filled for lunch so I can’t complain about the time. I was pleased with the freshness of the fish and rich flavors in the rolls. The only negative was that there were no roll descriptions given to me. I placed my order blind on the white order sheet. I frequent many sushi spots and am familiar with many rolls but something like the Sato special is unique and a description would have been nice. Overall this is a nice clean place that serves quality sushi. I would recommend it.

It felt very awkward walking into Sato, there were no diners and one waitress who stood in the corner of the restaurant watching us the entire meal. I enjoyed the salad that came with our soup but the miso tasted very similar to the instant packets of miso at the super market, disappointingly salty and bland. The rolls and tempura looked amazing, A+ for attractive presentation, but the flavors were mild and unremarkable. Overall it did not live up to my expectations.

I’ve been here for a number of months now and have always had a positive experience. It is Korean-Japanese, so take that for what you will. Fairly inexpensive and good quality fish. It’s really not a fine dining type of restaurant here so if you base your expectations around that, I think overall it’s worth eating here. Yes, the sashimi is not«proper» but honestly, if you’re expecting traditional omakase/sashimi stuff from someplace like this you’re really really really doing it wrong. It’s a nice, local, low-key type place and I like it. Service is friendly and the fish quality is good with fairly generous portion sizes. Most of the sides and small dishes are good I think. However, most main dishes that aren’t sushi(such as teriyaki) are mediocre so I tend to get those just for variety and try to stick to the sushi.

Ok so I’m always apprehensive when looking for sushi outside of little Tokyo. That said I’m driving thru Fullerton and my allergies are acting up I need some serious wasabi with some serious kick and some fresh ass fish! I’m driving aimlessly Unilocaling thru OC, and I find this Gem in a shopping center. Wow I felt special when the Chef gave me nothing but fatty toro pieces wow he also observed me going to town on the wasabi so he says«give me your plate», and gives me his special fresh super wasabi. DAYUMM this shit had me crying like a lil bitch! Shit hurt I can’t lie but just what I needed fresh quality fish perfect fish to rice ratio. What else could you ask for! I’m doing my happy dance time for a beer!

Very yummy and inexpensive. The miso soup was VERYSALTY and only had 1 piece of tofu in it! womp womp. I understand we speak different languages but«avocado cucumber roll» ISNOTTHATHARD to understand. The waitress asked me like 4 times what I wanted, and I appreciate that she was trying to get my order correct but it was a little irritating. Anyway, the food was great and the service was fast but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I dont know about the bad reviews here. This place is awesome. m!!! Hands down the best Sushi/Japanese restaurant. Master chef is really friendly to everyone, I recommend sitting at a sushi bar if you want the best service. Highly recommended to anybody who likes Sushi/Sashimi, incomparable to AYCE Sushi. Fish here are so much more fresh and rolls are made to perfection. Definitely will be coming here everytime I crave Sushi. Must try place :) for Sushi lovers!!!

Delicious fresh fish and attentive service, can’t ask for anything more from a sushi bar. Spicy tuna roll was my favorite.

Great sushi don’t get me wrong, just a little overpriced in my opinion. I think you could find the same quality at another place for quite a bit less.

I love this little sushi place! The décor is very traditional Japanese and the servers are soooo nice. The place can maybe seat 40 – 50 max but I have seen no more than 10 people in here and it’s nice and secluded. The food is awesome as expected. This will be my go to sushi spot for a long time.

I was in town for work and didn’t want to venture far from my hotel. I found this place when visiting the shopping center and I’m so glad I had dinner here. For $ 37 I had delicious baked green mussels, an interesting and complex Sunset Cali Roll, a fresh tasting Snow White roll and a large hot sake. I sat at the sushi bar and also had free miso soup and a small salad. And the service was the best I’ve had at a sushi bar!

LOVE this place!!! I’ve been going here for about ten years, at least, however long since it has opened. The ladies here are very nice, and especially sweet having to deal with my embarassing dad who doesn’t realize that he’s sometimes rude, and my sister who needs all of her rolls«made to order». Everything here is great, starting with the miso soup which they give you a complimentary side of crab, seaweed, cucumbers and sauce to go with it. The green tea here is also good. My favorite roll, which I haven’t been able to find anywhere else is the SAKURAROLL, who knew sliced lemons on top would make sushi soooo much more delicious?!
