Wilmery is by far one of the best bartenders and servers I have ever experienced. I work in hospitality so I was so happy to have someone so nice, personable, and caring. She consistently checked back up on us and made sure everything was nothing less than perfect. She was extremely friendly and fun to be around, making our experience that much greater. I will definitely be returning to visit!

Such a fun place! Wilmera was so sweet and nice! So fun to hang out for a while and the fish bowls are definitely worth the price! Perfect for before you head out for the night. Definitely will come back.

My boyfriend and I and regulars here, we come at least once a week, a little earlier on in the evening, and it’s fantastic. It’s known for the weekend madness and fishbowls but they have a good happy hour every day and their waitresses are really nice, Lindsey, Nikki, and Wilmery specifically ! We like it during the week cuz it’s not too packed or loud and they have lots of TVs with a variety of sports on. They raised their happy hour prices a little, but they don’t short you on alcohol and their food is pretty good ! This place is always a favorite

Alright so idk what it is with this place in particular but they close when they feel like it. We’re usually there until maybe 1:30 or 1:40 at the very latest but tonight they closed at 1:20. Kicked us all out and didn’t really give us an explanation as to why. Their fishbowls are awesome and usually they’re very attentive but tonight… uhh not so great.

To the tall blonde ass bouncer whose he named himself«Batman». very unprofessional and totally not cool. It was our friends birthday so we decided to come here for the ritual birthday fish bowl. My friends came in earlier and reserved a table while I just gotten out of work a little later and was stuck in traffic while finally got there about 10 pm. upon arrival at the front door. nobody was at the door at that time and saw two bouncers next door not doing their job guarding the entrance door. they were facing away from everyone else and chit chatting. We waited for a bit and nobody was there so we walked to inside. and my friends and I are over 21 and has a table so we walked in. The bouncer then walked over and said we have to wait in line. We didnt know so then said sorry and walked outside to wait in line. about 10 people deep. no problem. THEN upon seeing this guy at the front door. HE then SAYSWECANTGOIN. Why would he let people waste their time in line and play with them by booting them out for absolutely no reason and not doing his job. HES a security guard, and not even guarding the place. he was talking and flirting with other people at the next business over. AND he then talked crap to us and told his people bad rumors about us in their walkie talkie so we wouldnt be able to go into Florentine and other joint places just because we caught him flirting and not doing his job. PS lose the black gloves, youre not a policeman !

I’m from Maryland. I just moved to California less than two weeks ago. That being said I still have my MD license. Tonight my roommate(who also just moved here from MD as well) and I decided to hit up this bar for what would be about the third time since we’ve been here in Cali. Unfortunately we were denied entry tonight because according to the bouncers«one of us had a fake ID». Even after showing credit AND debit cards in our name AND a secondary photo ID we were told our ID’s were fake. They decided to be «nice» and let us keep our«fake ID’s» but would be denying us entry. I’ve enjoyed this place and they have pretty decent drinks and food, but the rudeness of the bouncers and the embarrassment they put me through tonight will ensure I never give this place a dime. Out of staters beware!

I’ve been wanting to check out this place for quite some time so this weekend my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. Space is smaller than I expected and looks like it shares a space with the restaurant next door. We just waked in picked out own table and were soon helped by a waitress who seemed a little irritated and rushed even though there weren’t many other people in there at the time. My boyfriend and I decided to share the mini blue fishbowl, I was pleasantly surprised because compared to other fishbowls I’ve had it was a lot stronger. 1 mini fishbowl = 4 drinks. We also ordered the calamari and the carne asada fries. The calamari was tender and crunchy and about as average as any other place would have. The carne asada fries were great! The fries were perfectly cooked and were great with just the cheese sauce and the spicy green sauce, I didn’t really care for the meat. Overall good food and okay service, will be back soon for the fishbowls and fries!!!

Here for the second time! Celebrating my bro-in-laws birthday in DTF! Fish bowls!!! Blue and red ftw. It’s a cool beachy atmosphere with a JUKEBOX. Cuz music is life. Grab a group and come down. Seating is limited and it’s cracking on weekends so order, sit, and fish bowl!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was really awesome. It was our first time there. Although the bar doesn’t look like much on the outside, when you walk in, you are swept away to the shores of Hawaii, with beautiful décor and a small– town vibe. We ordered one of their special fishbowl drinks, and it was strong but yummy! I also ordered asada fries and fried zucchini– very tasty. All in all, a new treasure in Fullerton that we will save for special days.

This place is always packed with tons of what seems to be 18 year olds. and it’s filthy. Tables are always sticky and there aren’t enough to go around. Clearly a run down joint that needs some R&R.

My husband and I have been coming here almost every Friday for about 8 months now — we keep coming back because Palapa keeps on keepin’ on! Their Happy Hour is amazing. The beers are $ 3 and the appetizers are all around $ 5 – 6. Food is really good too. We always get 2 – 3 appetizers and some beers and enjoy life.(Friday is our cheat day so whatever!) I can honestly say though that cheap beer and good food would not keep us coming back if it weren’t for the staff. We almost always have Sara as our bartender/waitress, and she’s the best. I understand people in the service industry see a lot of faces everyday, so it always impresses me when I’m remembered.(I used to work in hotels myself so I know how hard it can be.) Sara not only remembers us, she always has a funny story to tell, and is awesome at her job. We always share one PBR at a time(they’re 24 ounce cans, people) and early on, she remembered that and would automatically start brining us one with 2 glasses as soon as we walked in. We look forward to our Palapa HH/cheat day ALL week, so when we walk in there and hear that can open, it is like hearing angels sing! THANKYOUSARA!!!

Just want to say the bouncer Ryan was awesome. I almost got kicked out of the club next-door because I didn’t have a stamp on my wrist that someone at this bar was supposed to give me in order to use the restroom that was next-door because the restroom here is not in service. However because of Ryan they let me back in and gave me the stamp I was supposed to get. If it wasn’t for him I would have lost all of my friends and ended up outside the bar next door. So 5 stars for a security guard/bouncer that knows what he’s doing.

The only reason why I come to palapa is because the great waitress named Sara and the amazing happy hour… mostly the waitress, not in a dyke way, but it feels like the the bar cheers. When it’s supa busy I never feel like I’m sharing her with the other fullertonians.

This place has the best drinks in downtown Fullerton. My friends and I had the blue fish and it tasted amazing almost like soda. The bar was really nice they have tvs where they show funny videos and play awesome music. You meet new people. Overall, great experience. I do wish they were more organized we waited a long time.

Came here with my friends as a pre game before we hit the rest of the bars. They have a lot of different bowl sizes and flavors to share. The place was clean and a good vibe and we were able to be helped quickly. The bowls were actually pretty strong you have to have a couple people to share them with. Anyway overall I really enjoyed this place will be back

This is my favorite place to hit up when I’m in DTF. For $ 38, you can get a big fish bowl full of alcohol mixed with different flavored juices. They have 4 different kind(yellow, red, blue and green). I tried all 4 and they’re all pretty good! This is the perfect bar to start off your night before skipping to another bar with music and dancing. The only downside is that the line can get pretty long. They won’t let people in unless there are available tables. I suggest you come early around 8 or 9pm if you don’t want to wait in line on a Friday or Saturday night.

Fish bowls are super strong! Not even half way finished and already feeling tipsy! Where else can I get wasted for $ 25? Lol. The food is good too! I love this place

Came here for a bday thing, really good fish bowl(reds the best) ! Got some sliderd and chickentenders with fries, very on point! Soft and delicious Atmosphere is fun, there were decent amount of people that come in even on a Monday. Its a bar so obviously 21+ only. The staff are friendly and cool, and the setting is small but very welcoming Highly recommended

Came here on a Friday night and had to wait for maybe thirty minutes. Barely found a table inside, and ordered the large red fishbowl. It’s $ 33 for a large fishbowl and then recommend a $ 5 tip. I shared the fishbowl with two other people. The taste was okay, but I expected to get a little more buzzed. I personally don’t think the price & wait is worth it. They should really put more alcohol in there.

Sticky tables, long waits, elbow-to-elbow, hiking to the bathroom… yup, this is definitely a college bar. Known for(and only for) the fish bowl… which anyone who is older than ‘just turned 21′ should respect themselves enough to pass on. It’s intended to get you drunk and literally nothing else; a sugary concoction of juice and alcohol that tastes like cheap powdered drink mix mixed with bottom shelf booze. The sugar headache and the feeling of your teeth rotting out is not something you need; respect your taste buds and your pallet and try a more respectable beverage– no one on instagram thinks it’s cute that you’re holding a fishbowl anyway.

Been wanting to come here for a while but every time I went it was closed? Finally got to check it out a few weeks ago and it wasn’t even worth the trouble. I went on a Tuesday night so it was pretty quiet. You would think that since there aren’t too many rambunctious drunk people around, the service would be decent but nope. Ordered a blue fish bowl for 3 people and it came out to be ~$ 38. We tried it and it seriously tasted like juice so we asked for alcohol. I know that can be pretty annoying for a bartender but it really had no hint of alcohol to us when we tasted it. The bartender was not pleased but she did go ahead and make us another one. The second one was a lot better but it was still weak! I left not even feeling buzzed wth. I was overall pretty disappointed. Everyone always told me that the fish bowls here get you messed up but I don’t know what they’re talking about. It was especially disappointing because I had friends drive from 30 min away come here with me and it seems like a waste.

For the longest I had seen fishbowl pics pop up everywhere on my social media from my buds. Finally I was able to try it and to be honest its pretty good. I wouldn’t come here religiously every weekend but once a full moon this is the place to be. The ambiance is super nice and the vibe is mellow unlike some other places around DTF. The fishbowl had a nice mix to it. Ok I’ll be honest I like fruity drinks and this was definitely delicious from that aspect. It gives you a really good buzz. I taste sprite, rum, and then I’m hazy. The place is super nice but not very big. After a while I had to come out just for some fresh air. Overall, with good prices, good music, and a nicely done fishbowl mix this is the place to hang out in Fullerton if you’re looking to just hang out and vibe. Its great for groups. Actually its preferable.

+ Nice atmosphere + Fishbowl mix is nice, not weak like other spots, gives a nice buzz + Prices aren’t too bad + Music is great + Awesome for groups — A bit cramped inside I don’t come here often, but when I do, it’s because I’ve got good company and we just want a good buzz going on. You can seriously just come here and chill for the whole night to enjoy it all. Rarely have I seen any fights or anything negative happen here. It’s all fun and drinks! Their fishbowls are great here, I’ve tried the Orange/Blue/Red ones, all have been very tasty and gives a nice buzz. Depending on what time you come, the wait might be a bit long, anywhere from 20mins to 1hr+. I’d recommend coming early to get a seat, get your buzz on and do whatever you wanna do afterwards. :)

I came here to try their famous fish bowls. The bowls are pretty huge! The alcohol is not as strong as I would have thought. The blue color one is the one I would recommend! The coconut flavor in that one is pretty good!

Overrated. This was my first time at DTF and I was super excited to try this place out. Shared a blue fishbowl with 3 other friends and we finished it. Not even a buzz… The bowl was also way too sweet. Had a bad taste leaving this place in my mouth. Not worth the long line!

It’s a fun place to go with friends to drink, especially when ordering one of their fishbowls. I think the red fishbowl tastes the best out of all of them. It’s a good place to pregame, but dang, that fishbowl can really get to you, so pace yourself. Follow the arrows to find the restroom. It’s a bit out of the way. The wait to get into the bar can get pretty long, so go during off hours to avoid the wait. It can get pretty crowded. And I kinda wish they cleaned and cleared the tables more. It’s always wet and there’s always something on them.

Came here on a Wednesday night. Pretty chill, small crowd which was great because I was out with a decently sized group for my friend’s graduation celebration. Had ample seating. I don’t know how crowded this place gets on the weekends though. Ordered the Blue and Red Fish Bowls. I liked the Blue one more. It wasn’t as sweet as the Red nor could you taste the alcohol as much. That might be a good thing for you depending on how heavy you drink I suppose. As for when they tell you a gallon = 8 and a half-gallon = 4, pretty on the money. There’s parking in a near by lot so that was very convenient.

There’s always a line! So be prepared to wait. Came here on a Saturday night and waited about thirty minutes for two. Came for the famous fishbowls! Realistically myself and my friend could not finish the 1 gallon fish bowl(about $ 40) we learned there was half gallons so we got that($ 22). DELICIOUSLY and will get you drunk! I actually tried almost all the flavors… Red — BESTONE kinda like Hawaiian punch Orange — a little too tangy and bubbly for me and I can taste the alcohol unlike the others but my friends liked it Blue — very good! I recommend this after trying red you can’t taste the alcohol and it’s very yummy BOTTOMLINE: come here with a good group of people and get ready to drink really good alcohol where you can’t taste the alch! I will be return!

FISHBOWLS! GETITTT. Either as a gallon or a half gallon(that’s new… I think … #drunkproblems). $ 38 and $ 22 respectively and already including tip) RED is my favorite, it’s like Bellini from Vegas. A tinge carbonated and a little stronger than the blue. The BLUE one has a strong taste of coconut. You’ve been warned ;P it’s still sweet but… I hate coconut. Just a preference thing ;D careful when you get the half gallons. The proportions are off so doesn’t quite taste the same as the gallons. If you come later, dress warm. There’s usually a line and people generally take their time. They bump up the music really loud. Everyone was singing along having a good time. Poor people… Stuck in line while we drank. You actually can see the line outside by 940⁄10 Once you pass commonwealth, palapa grill comes up quick on the right. You’ll see he Tuscany club which is connected to it. I do believe it’s also joint ownership. I heard it’s a decent restaurant but I only come here to drink :) after you pass the restaurant name your first right for street, lot, or structure parking. This is the closest place for parking but there’s generally a lot of places to park in down town Fullerton.
