Milton Place

I rented one of their apartments for approximately 16 months and the floor plans are great the landscaping is amazing all the rooms are spic and span on moving in, and the prices are great for the beautiful area+pools are gorgeous

Got broke in three times in a month. The manager Ruben knows about the broke in, but did nothing to add security to the poor lighting or fences to the apartment. The management rejects on ending the lease early even with these losses. I was forced to live in the apartment while in fear of another breakin. Avoid it in all cost.
The thief knows around the milton place area and come back even after the second breakin. This is a open gated apartment.
Be sure to have a good renter insurance policy to cover your laptop and expansive jewelry.
Avoid it at all cost!

Great apartments and a very easy-​going manager by the name of Rueben. He was always professional and helpful. The grounds are kept clean, and the apartments are nice as long as you take care of the place. The fact that the complex is within walking distance of CSUF as well as the rent being reasonably proced, makes it great for students.

Milton Place has been my home since mid 2008. Considering this, it shows I have found it to be an adequate complex to commit to long term residency. While there have been the ups and downs living here, my overall experience with the complex, management, neighbors, and surrounding environment has been good. In many aspects, while not perfect, living here has improved in many ways.
Most notably, the management team has had its consistent improvement. The current onsite property manager, Ruben, has made it important to keep the complex clean and a pleasure to reside in. His office hours have been reduced due to Sunrise Management cutting back on costs. Because of this, current residents and potential future residents are advised to contact him via phone and scheduling an appointment if you need to sit down with him for any reason. One can also visit during his office hours (which I find are usually Tuesday — Saturday 10am to 2pm-​ish, though this may vary). Ruben is friendly and very helpful. More then anything, he makes you feel welcomed and likes to make sure everything is going well in each apartment.
Since hiring Bryce (onsite maintenance guy), the grounds are kept clean (minus the a-​hole smokers that leave their trash out at night, they know who they are). Bryce has been a great addition to the Milton Place team as he knows how to do his job better then any past maintenance personnel, and to this day nothing has been left unfixed/​treated. The pool is always clean and a pleasure to have during these summer months. The new laundry machines have been working out decently. The location is obviously ideal as its right across from CSUF and the optometry school, and very close to FJC, the high schools, and plenty of shopping centers. Rent is a little steep, but still relatively competitive with the other complexes nearby. Sunrise Management offers each apartment an online account so you can pay rent, request maintenance services, and keep up to date on any changes/​upgrades happening to the complex. Definitely a convenience and a bonus to living here… I definitely recommend all potential renters to stop by and meet Ruben, take a tour of the complex, and keep it in consideration when seeking an ideal apartment complex to call home.
*The comment below by past property manager Julie is old, and in response to an old review of mine which has since been updated. Other then the laundry room machines, nothing else has been done that was mentioned in her post. Her fall-​out with Sunrise Management had nothing to do with it.

I’ve lived here about two years and I really do like it! Julie the apartment manager is great! She’s always available and always ready to help you with anything you need! The maintenance guy is is really friendly and he’s always running around helping everyone and keeping everything clean. They are both great! I’ve never lived in an apartment complex where the management is so friendly and personable. The prices are great too and they always have great move in specials! We got a great deal when we moved in.
