The chicken meal was so-so. No flavor. They said they have no pico de gallo or salsa. Lame! The soda was totally flat. The place look old too. The only upside was that the worker/owner was nice.

I live a 5 minute WALK away but wouldn’t waste my time our money. It’s cheaper than El Pollo Loco but the chicken want seasoned at all. Blah flavor, greasy chicken. It’s cheap, two chickens for the prices of one. The rice and beans err good, hence the extra star, their patio salad was good, probably the only thing I would go their for.

A authentic hole — in –the — wall chicken joint. The beans and chicken are well prepared. Enjoy it

This is the true definition of crazy for me. I continue to come here expecting different results. Fact is the people here have a great concept in short order type fast food-ish without the food actually being bad for you. And they’re pretty nice too. But the quality is terrible. Overlooked and dry chicken. Dry, tasteless rice… mooshy, tasteless beans… honestly I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone so careless about food quality. Not to mention how run down and dirty the place is.(Overfilled trash etc) It’s like they don’t care about food or the people they’re cooking for but rather just the money. Which isn’t much thank goodness. I’m sure convenience plays a big part in their business. Location etc. but with such a great opportunity to have a fantastic restaurant… why not put a little more love into it? Chef Ramesay where are you ?!? lol I give em 2 stars just for not being jerks. I’d give 3 if they’d ever put something English on their tv.

Came here to pick up some dinner because I didn’t want to drive to Juan Pollo. I had seen this location on my way home from work numerous times but never decided to try until today. Location itself is very small and a little ghetto. There was no one eating in nor ordering so was a little skeptical on trying. Ordered their 2 chicken special that come with two whole chickens, two large sides of beans and a large side of rice. Tortillas and salsa were also thrown in. Chicken itself was very tasty. It was nice and juicy and a little crispy which made it better. The rice had a lot of green onion so it was ok and the beans were not bad. It almost appeared they were slightly refried. In all the meal was not bad at all so will be back again. Price was not too bad either as it was about $ 23 for the meal and i did get a lot of food. I’m glad I found this little spot.

I love the flavor of the chicken! It’s not your average rotisserie because the skin is a little toasted/crisp…I can’t explain it but it does it for me. It’s not dry either. The next reason why I keep coming to this place is the price. You can get a 2 piece value meal with rice, tortilla, salsa and beans, and a drink for only $ 5.99!!! And it fills you up. You can also substitute the beans for potato salad. Lastly, the husband and team duo are a lovely couple. They are very nice with a strong faith. The only reason I subtracted a star is because of the location. It does give the hole in the wall feel, which is what I love about places I eat at, but it sure won’t attract everyone. It’s outdated and not comfy. If you come here dressed in a suit and tie coming for your lunch break, chances are you may not want to stay to eat, but rather take the food to go. Overall, I’m a fan.

This place is delicious! It doesn’t look like it from the outside or inside but trust me. It’s similar to pollo loco but more authentic. Great chicken salsa and horchata! Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Advertising says delivery. Called, no delivery. Such a simple thing to change. Says a lot about the company if you ask me…

I hate to say it, but this place isn’t much better than El Pollo Loco. Their potato salad, rice, and pico de gallo is good, but their chicken is dry and lacks the right texture. The skin was salty and almost slimy. The lady at the counter was very friendly, but the food does not make up for the shabby interior. Luckily, the prices are decent(3 pc chicken, 3 sides for $ 7). Still, I don’t think I’ll be back here again.

It’s the worst chicken that I’ve ever tried. I went in during the summer and it was hotter than it was outside, the prices were reasonable to me until I got home and ate, the chicken was salty and it felt microwaved. I don’t recommend this place.

Good food and a good value. Rotisserie chicken is their expertise, but they also have tamales. Just four stars this time as they were out of flan and macaroni salad.

Ok when you pull up in the parking lot you will have second thoughts. It’s in a run down strip mall(but aren’t all the great places? Ok well some are…) It’s a little rough on inside as well… I got scared but friend I was in said«trust». So I did… not bad. Good flour tortillas and hot salsa is off da hook! Chicken was very moist and had good flavor. Chicken nachos… pass…it’s chopped chicken on chips but it doesn’t work. Overall I will be back… and bringing a friend!

Dont know where Reviewer Diane K. ate at, but she missed the mark on this place.: O It is outrageous when people compare a good pollo joint to the used to be good in a former life(El Pollo Loco). As a Mexican whose had her share of tasty roasted birds in her life, this place is spot on. Back in the early 80s when I was a whee Chica and the P.L. chain was owned by a Mexican, the pollo was grade A in quality and the benchmark in pollo joints. Don continues the old chicken recipe tradition, citrus flavored bird with a nice spice rub. Buenisimo! Don is also comparable to Juan Pollo, a stones throw away on beach blvd and similar to the defunct Pollo De Oro(a casualty of the sagging economy). In a nutshell, the owners r real hospitable people, the place offers free local delivery and you get a great combo for a whopping $ 5.00. U could easily miss this place which is tucked away in a tiny strip mall, but you’ll come back once u do find it. It’s a sad day when people think pollo loco is great mexi chicken. Bite your pendejo tongue!

Good rotisserie chicken. I decided to give this place a try after my other favorite chicken place Pollo De Oro had closed and I’m glad I did. We tried the chicken soft tacos and a ½ chicken meal and both were delicious. I think there prices might even be a little bit lower than the other ‘pollo’ places I go to. All in all, I’m very glad I gave it a try and I think this is my new go to rotisserie chicken place in Fullerton.

Don Pollo Chicken has outstanding prices that competitors cannot beat. I see other reviews and had high expectations, MEH i’ve experienced better. My chicken was very dry and had to juicyness to it like El Pollo Loco does. I felt dirty because of the way the lady was preparing my dinner with her bare hands. But then again my motto is to try everything twice. I’ll give it another try when i’m desperate and don’t feel like driving far because this place is across the street from my house.
