Best Buy

Went into Best Buy 6÷28÷16, had a problem with my Samsung phone, there was another guy there ahead of me, about my same age, he is not a techy just like I am not and JD was doing a great job helping him through his problems.
It was my turn and I explained to him my problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone and he walked me through it and corrected the problem, he asked me if I was interested in updating, but I explained that this one that I have I am used to it and it works fine, he did not push me to try to get something I did not want nor needed.
He was great at helping me, has good communication skills, has great patience, and most of all was there to help me with what I needed, and wasn’t trying to sell me something I did not need.
Best Buy if you are reading this, JD was right on the mark, and I greatly appreciated his help, but more than that I was really grateful he wasn’t overbearing in trying to sell me something I did not need.

Last year my Windows Pro Surface 3 was stolen from me while at school after I had saved for months to purchase it for myself. I waited a while to save my money again to repurchase the item because I absolutely loved my Surface. After being robbed, repurchasing was already a daunting experience. I came into the store this April.
Unfortunately, my original Surface had been discontinued/​recalled and though my experience at this Best Buy began very badly, Jordan V., the General Manager, made sure I left happy. He is absolutely phenomenal at customer servicing and is very understanding. My mom and I both appreciated how nice he was when dealing with our situation as the Assistant Manager the night before came off as very callous and rude and this was a completely different experience.
I am now typing this review on my awesome Surface Pro 4 that I happily purchased and then put loads of tracking devices and protection on! :) Thank you Jordan for making sure your customers leave wanting to come back!

Awesome shopping experience every time we come. Today, Josh helped us buy an apple watch, xbox one, jbl speakers, and camera! He was patient and informative and walked each dept with us to help us select the best item. Thank you!

I have not been to Best Buy in a while… I stopped going because I didn’t like their return policy… I took my dad there today to purchase a wireless adapter and it was very clean and very organized. I do not know if their restocking fee/​return policy has changed but I will add a positive remark that the employees seemed to be very knowledgeable about the items in their departments. The apple guy was even able to tell us where to get the wireless adapter and I thought he would only I know about Apple. They had different mini departments in the store with the apple section, the ATT, sprint, etc sections which was kind of neat. But then we get up to the front to check out and find out that they merged some family members accounts and deleted mine because I haven’t been there in awhile. When my father asked for his points and stuff to be fixed, they said they couldn’t and he was welcome to start over… Needless to say it kept my initial thought of not going to Best Buy for awhile.

We purchase most of our electronic goods either at BestBuy or online. We have purchased 2 TV’s, 2 Laptops, 2 Digital Cameras from this store in the past few years. Most recently we have purchased an apple watch from the store.
Pros:
Adequate knowledgeable staff to answer questions at any time.
Modified store layout. TV’s are near the electronic gadgets area now.
Cons:
Not many deals going on at any given time. (–1)

I wish I could give this store zero stars! I recently purchased the new Samsung S7 Edge phone from them on a pre-​order. I have picked up quite a few items from Best Buy and was an Elite member until recently. So I have had my phone for about 40 days and today woke up to color burn on the screen. I thought no problem the phone is so new that Best Buy will be able to replace it since it was not caused by neglect. Haha I was wrong. Here a few details that Best Buy will not tell consumers about their products that they sell.
1. Best Buy only honors any type of returns on cell phones up to 14 days.
2. If you are an elite member they will try to help you more, but since I was recently downgraded for not spending more money the manage said he could do nothing for me.
3. Even if you buy the warranty that Best Buy offers, you will not be able to return your phone to get a new one that day but instead have to send it off and you will be without a phone until it gets back weeks later.
4. I spoke to the manager Alejandro and he basically said Best Buy doesn’t care about customer service because policy is policy and I would have to contact Samsung and research how to get my phone working properly. He also told me there were swap centers but he had no idea where they were and offered no additional resources to help me locate them.
I know a lot of people say terrible things about Best Buy, but I have never had this bad of an experience. I wish I could say something positive about my experience today but there was nothing. Alejandro was very cold about helping me out today and just said its not their problem. I understand some policies, but there is also something to be said about doing the right thing. I purchased a new phone from Best Buy in Fullerton and in less than 2 months it was defective. You will get no help from Best Buy and in my opinion I would advise all customers to avoid buying your next phone from Best Buy because if it fails under no fault of the user they will wipe their hands with you and you will be left on your own.
Shame on you Best Buy and the manager Alejandro!

Called ahead to see if they had any computer desks in store. Girl on the phone said yes, come on over! So we drive over… and the guy at the door said they didn’t have any! What the heck! Thanks for making me waste gas, annoying Best Buy girl. I bumped up one star because the door guy was nice and called on the radio to double check that the location had no desks, so that was nice. But really… make sure your employees are knowledgeable about your products you carry in store, or at least make sure they ask if they’re confused. Ugh.

Oh man this location is just horrible; over the phone or in person, it’s bad. save yourself the bad experience and go to a different one. These folks are just chilling and don’t care to ask you if you need help. They don’t even acknowledge you when you leave

Went in for a camera for vacation. I was offered help right away but the guy didn’t seem super knowledgeable. Luckily, I had already done my research. They had what I was looking for and I was on my way out the door within 5 minutes.
the camera seemed great at first UNTIL we took it in the water. If was supposed to be water proof but failed miserably. Not at all Best Buy’s fault but they gave us zero trouble with the return.
I was very happy with the service and will be back in the future.

Love this location. Every time I go in, I get greeted, and asked if I need help finding anything. This time, I did need help. They directed me where I needed to go and someone helped me right away. I got what I needed and was out of the store in 10 minutes flat. This is HUGE for me because I came in with my 18 month old daughter and it’s hard to spend too much time in one place especially with no help. So thanks for all your help :) I will be back!

I was looking for another business [next this Best Buy] and couldn’t recall the name of said business. Figured I call Best Buy and hope that whomever answered the phone could help. Indeed they did, spoke with Jackie just a few minutes ago and, although she didn’t know what I was talking about at first, she was more than happy to look it up for me. We found the name and I was VERY happy with her customer service! A+++ Jackie! Thank you very much!

Why is it so hard to return a product. Understaffed, one guy at the customer service = 30 minutes just to return something. Honestly ridiculous.

Alan Moore the manager is a joke and this store has serious issues. I came into purchase a Lenovo laptop and was told that he could block the sale based on intent to return. How can you decide on a an intent to return when all he could tell is that I’m a black woman. This place needs leadership and race relations training.

WORST experience ever. PROMOTION $ 300 Gift card until the 28^th.
Never coming to Best Buy again. I only came to check out new phones because I need one and it’s near my place so I figured to just stop by. They were having a promotion to give out $ 100, $ 200, $ 300 gift cards for getting a cell phone. I qualified for the $ 300 gift card so why the hell not. That’s the only reason for GIVING two dang stars. So I came to hook up a phone and normally I go to the actual phone providers to do hook up phones because you get way BETTER service. I actually got great service from Joanna on Saturday, February 20^th, and also whoever she was teamed up with. They make a great a team. She was concerned with all my needs, even gave me the area code I wanted for my phone. BUT the system for the love of god could NOT work for us. I must have digitally signed that agreement a gazillion times, it kept giving an error message. She called in to VZN but no luck. The store was closing and so they wanted me to come back. Come back?! Inconvenient but Andrew, a manager said he would give me DISCOUNTS on products I needed. OK so why not.
I came back on Monday for the phone. Another gentleman helped me. Andrew saw that I was there and he came over and checked for the phone I wanted, S6, none left. He said he’ll call the Anaheim store to bring it over and to come back the next evening. I’m getting irritated but OK, I am only willing to come back for that gift card AND he said he would give discounts. Well I came back the next day and I called at 7pm, on hold for a good 20 minutes or so, finally Andrew picks up and says my phone will be on it’s way, it’s going to take 45 minutes.
Really? Shouldn’t it have been coming in from yesterday? Ok whatever. So I finally come to get my phone, its close to closing time, so I am forced to rush, no time to transfer anything from the old phone to the new one, like they were planning to do it the FIRST time I came. I bought a printer and everything I needed. I paid nothing on this day since all the expenses went on the gift card. My cell phone will be billed monthly on my cell phone bill. I left, and looked at my receipt and he gave me zero discounts at all. I could have just went to a different location and get my phone. I told them I was NOT going to be in town and only came back because ANDREW offered me discounts. Which I did NOT get. I drove 100 miles.
BEST BUY REALLY SUCKS. They do not honor their word and/​or have BAD memory. Or maybe it’st just Andrew. But I should have read the awful reviews. ZERO stars if not for the gift card. NEXT TIME, I’m going to the cell providers from now to hook up phones. Faster service! This was the worst experience ever. Kenzie no happy. And the dude on Monday did not know how to give me a 714 area code, so I got a 657, but no biggie, just called in after I got my phone to get it changed.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but this really upset me. I had purchased a Mac laptop for school because they’re essential. I always get the warranty on my electronics because you never know!
I was told if anything happened to take it back. Well something happened so I took it to see if I could exchange it. It has a subtle scratch on the screen but I’m picky so it bothers me. They told me the warranty doesn’t cover scratches only cracks and brokenness. I felt like breaking it so I could ask if they could do something for me then.
They don’t tell you that the warranty doesn’t cover certain shit so they probably just want your $! I was really pissed but what can you do? I’m just going to purchase from Apple now.
I gave them 3 stars because their customer service is great, but I don’t think I’ll be shopping here anymore.

Poor service at this store. I came in for the gear S2. Was sent to another location because they said they were out of stock. Went to the other location and they told me this location actually had them in stock. So I came back to the Fullerton location. Spoke with the Samsung reps which are no help. Don’t waste your time. I finally found someone to help me and they could not give me any info, they were able to get me a watch though.
Don’t come to this location if you need any help. The store is nice after the remodel.

One of my clients needed a last minute range on a Saturday night. We shopped everywhere and couldn’t find one on a Saturday night. We stumbled upon an ad and called into the Best Buy in Fullerton. Called in an verified they had what they needed in stock. We arrived at the store 10 minutes before closing and they were not able to locate the model and tried to up sell us.
In the end my clients did buy a nicer range due to time constraints but they were able to get a decent deal on the range so they were happy. They stayed open late for them as well.
Why did I knock two stars off? Best Buy employees told us they had the specific range in stock. If they didn’t we would’ve just stayed in our area and not drove half an hour out of our way to pickup something that was not in stock.

Eh… I got what I needed but the service was a little slow. To be fair, they were super busy.
I went in to get a computer, printer, and ink and wanted to be in and out because I already had an idea of what I wanted. I asked the people at the entrance if I could get someone to help me and they said to go ahead and head towards electronics and they would call someone for me. Fair enough. So I walked around and shopped aimlessly even though I already knew I wanted a Mac computer. Fifteen minutes went by and I had to go back to the front.
They apologized and got someone up to the front to help me fairly quickly. The guy who helped me was knowledgeable and helped me get what I needed. He also got me a student discount for getting my Mac. That was nice of him.
My advice and the advice that was given to me by the guy who helped me get my computer is to go on a week day during the day time when everyone is at work.

With this location being my second attempt to take up a deal I know would work, I came to this Best Buy near the Brea mall and found parking with ease. Upon entry, I was greeted by the security crew and proceeded to make my way to the computers area. Because every Best Buy is set up nearly the same way, I wasn’t feeling like a village idiot.
I spoke with Daniel after a few minutes of waiting, and he stated what the other Best Buy had mentioned. I would not be able to use two coupons towards a sale item. I knew this was a standardized statement and usually true, but I pushed onward in the nicest fashion possible. Daniel, responding in a very helpful tone, became aware that I had a feeling this would work and offered to talk to a supervisor about it. In the non-​chalant fashion, the supervisor said «hey, if it works, it works» and ushered us to the computers at the customer service kiosk.
BEHOLD, it worked. Daniel stated I got a deal that was even better than what the store offered for the same item on Black Friday. He was extemely helpful expediting the order, and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the process of the purchase.
So yeah, I beat the system and rewarded myself with a smirk usually seen by those facing pricks. It was worth it, and a little nice persistent push was all I needed to get a great deal on a computer. No big deal.
