Used them for years until they wanted to replace our ac and furnace for $ 5-$ 7K. Had it fixed by someone else for $ 200. They said our capacitor was out but it was just fine. Had a different minor issue. Beware of over selling and scam repairs. Hate that they have become untrustworthy.

EXPENSIVEREPLACEMENTS! TRUSTWORTHY??? I had to replace two AC units. Calverly was 25% higher than the next most expensive. Calverley also wanted to add $ 1,750−2,000 for a new ventalation system that three other AC firms said was completely unnecessary.(This $ 2,000 is not a part of the 25% higher price.) Further the sales lady tried intimidation to secure the contract before I could investigate other bids. This caused complete uneasiness and distrust. I save $ 4,000 by using some one else! My mother has used Calverley for her AC services and maintenance for many years, not sure if this will continue if they recommend high priced unnecessary work.

We have had our A/C maintenance contract with them for years. They have a great customer service department and every technician we have ever had come out was timely, professional, honest and efficient. They have saved us TWICE — once when our A/C quit working on July 4th and then a couple years later, our heat quit working on Christmas day(yes –we seem to have issues on holidays :\). Highly recommend for service, maintenance or repair.

Long story short: Highly recommend, responded to call quickly, honest & fair. Continue reading for the long version: Came home around 8:00 pm last night to find the A/C was not working. We had another company,(the ones that send out the 11×17 huge waste of paper ad with Einstein on it) out a few months ago for regular maintenance/tune up & was told that the fan motor was bad & would need to be replaced very soon & left me with a ridiculously high estimate to replace it as well as trying to sell a completely new upgraded system to replace our 6 year old unit plus a pricey service agreement. I assumed that the«bad» fan motor was the nature of the problem. I didn’t feel comfortable calling the same company out again so decided to give Calverley a try because our neighbors recently used them. I went to their website @ 10:00 pm, scheduled an appointment online for 8:00 am the next morning, got a confirmation email within 45 minutes for the appointment, got a call @ 7:30 am morning of appt. to let me know the tech was on his way. Clean, courteous Tech arrived @ 8 am on the dot & A/C was up & running in less than 30 minutes. It was not the fan motor that was the problem but the capacitor. The Fan motor was tested as well & he said«Right now it is just showing signs of normal wear & tear, nothing that needs to be replaced at this time. «The cost to replace the capacitor including labor/parts/service fee was in the $ 200 range which may or may not be high but it’s August– in Texas. I was just so pleased that they sent someone out so quickly on short notice to fix the problem & that they were honest & didn’t lie to me like the other guys trying to sell several hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs. :)

FYI Called & made an appointment one day. They gave me a 10 am appointment for the next day. They called at 10& said it would be noon. Later they called & said 2 pm. I called at 3 pm & they said 5 pm. They serviceman showed up at 6 pm. A very nice young man, polite, professional, & efficient. Informed me I needed a a TXV& if it wasn’t under warranty it would cost $ 1000. The office, not the serviceman told me it wasn’t under warranty even though our AC is less than 5 years old(trane). Later they called back & said it was under warranty & the cost would be just over $ 700. Called another HVAC company, they just finished inspecting the unit & they agree I need a TXV. The second company serviceman said it was under warranty $ the cost is, $ 490. You make the call.

We’ve used other a/c companies before, but Calverley is the best. We’ve had their number handy for more than a few years now because their level of customer service and their service technicians are better than any we’ve encountered. We always get very fast service, they usually offer a same day appointment. The technicians are polite and well groomed and can answer any questions I throw at them. They offer an extremely competitive maintenance agreement, and their prices are pretty darn good.

I rarely take the time to leave reviews, and up to now it is usually for crappy service. However, I was surprisingly pleased by all phases of contact and service with this company. Quick appointment, punctual, knowledgable, clean and polite. Replaced my AC unit and evaporator core the day after diagnosing the issue. Hope I do not need to use them again, but if something breaks, I sure will.

We have been using Calverley for years and could not be more pleased with their service.
