If you’re craving Tex-Mex, you can’t go wrong with Tijuana Flatts! The blackened chicken is usually my go-to here; either the blackened chicken chimichanga or the blackened chicken taco salad with the southwest vinaigrette dressing. When in doubt, say yes to queso!

Where to start… Well, the beginning I reckon. Now, I’m not a pensioner or anything like that, but I still find this menu to be a little confusing. It’s kind of all over the place, and each time I’m here, I just look at it and think, «Crap. What now?» I got a chicken and bean burrito, with onion, guacamole, and sour cream, and made it wet with chipotle sauce. What I got is a fair sized burrito with a skinny portion of chips. No one else’s chips at the table were near to the small portion I received. The chipotle sauce was less than tasty and there was no guacamole on or in my burrito. One of the many hot sauces was what made it edible. The up-sells kill you here. A portion of beans and rice: Extra, and not worth the $$. Make it wet: Extra, and not worth the $$. They want you to buy bottles of the hot sauce, so your only option at the sauce bar are sample-sized thimbles of sauce. It could take you all lunch hour just to read through the sauce descriptions. And, none of them are«fresh» salsas. They’re just bottled sauces. There are no trays, and they bring you your food at the table. I suspect there are no trays so that you don’t load it up with sauce thimbles with which to return to your table. I just don’t get the attraction here. Everything is geared towards selling the myriad of sauces. They even keep the drinks behind the counter. The staff-type-person who came to offer refills was wearing jean shorts that were so filthy, he looked like he just got done changing the engine out of a bulldozer. What kind of manager lets his people out on the floor like that, or even NEAR food? I’ll take Moe’s over T-Flats any day.

My fiancé and I were spending a few days in ft. Myers and I hadn’t been in tijuanna flats since living in Atlanta 20 something years ago. They are better then ever. The staff is very very helpful and the biggest plus for my lady was they have a gluten free menu that actually has items that taste awesome. We will be back for sure

Can’t figure out all the glowing reviews. This is like the macdonalds of Tex mex only over priced. Could go to an authentic fine Mexican restaurant for the cost of this very bland food. And this coming from someone that doesn’t even like numb your gums hot n spicy, but I do appreciate tasty spices. The guac had zero flavor. I wanted to get a mahi taco and veggie burrito, but the order taker couldn’t figure out how to enter into cash register. Oy! No bueno. Ok, so I just got the dos tacos. Flavorless even with the sauce they put on it. They give you chips with it but if you want salsa or guac it is an upcharge. Four of us ate and all said same. Pretty flavorless and bland. Shouldn’t have to use tongue numbing sauces to add flavor.

I am usually not a fan of chains or fast Mexican food. But this is a solid choice for a good price meal hat is quick but fresh. This particular location can get really busy, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays when they have some really good specials going. Busy means crowded parking lot and hard to find a seat. Despite being busy the food comes out quick Lots of variety to the menu and as others have mentioned the Hot Bar is fabulous addition! The Tijuana trio is a must for our table because we like the crispy chips and all the dips to start the meal off! I have had the tacos, burritos, salads and quesadillas. Lots of choices for meats and toppings! TIP: You can order ahead online to skip the line; they offer party platters and also do catering.

We were looking for a quick place to eat by our hotel near the Ft Myers airport. We love Mexican food so we took a chance never having heard of this chain(is it in the Northeast?). It was delightfully decorated and we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who made us feel welcome right away. I loved all the healthy options! I ordered the combo — a burrito and a quesadilla — with rice and beans for $ 9.99. I was asked if I wanted a whole wheat tortilla. Yes, please! I couldn’t finish it! We’d had chips and salsa to start and when I wanted to pack up my meal, she refreshed my chips. I appreciated that! But I must add that we didn’t like the salsa(served with the chips) at all. It was too mushy and thick. The sauces I tried were HOT, but I love spicy! Did I mention that there was Dos XX on tap?! The food was very good, better than some«nicer» Mexican restaurants we’ve gone. Great quality for a great price. We’ll see you again soon!

I have been here a few times. Food is usually hot and ready to go. Burritos are what I get, sometimes the chimichanga. Other people’s food looks good too. A lot of different hot sauces to pick from, mild to hot. You can also grab a beer or sangria at this location.

The service is prompt and courteous, the food is delectable. The finest fast casual TexMex chain, and this store does it justice.

Went to the one on Rt. 41, ordered two enchiladas one steak, one blackened chicken. Fairly large portion. No chips and salsa, no free refills on drinks, crunchy hard rice. I was aked if I wanted red or green sauce I received neither. The kid at the counter forgot my water and extra sour cream I asked him about it and he said«Oh yeah» he proceed to grab his cigarettes behind the counter and walked out the door! All that for $ 10.42. Never again.

Service was fantastic, new store was very clean. Great atmosphere. Great colors and style, makes you feel like your on vacation. Okay, with all that said why 2 stars? The food! It is very bland. If you want any flavor it is all in the hot sauce bar. I am not a fan of HOT. Not the place for me.

Great tacos! Fun place! I’m there almost every Tuesday for a quick office escape lunch sitting outside on the patio! It’s always a busy crowd for Taco Tuesday but the friendly staff get you in and out quickly. Just listen for your name when they call out your order and bring it to ya! I highly recommend the hard shell beef or pork tacos with EVERYTHING(lettuce, tomato, shreaded cheddar cheese, black olives, sour cream, onion, jalapenos). I can’t wait until Tuesday!

Fantastic. Would be a 5-star but it’s not quite as good as the original. I recommend keeping it simple: get the two tacos; they are very large and come with chips. The food is delicious, the hot sauce bar is classic(they aren’t all real hot, which is nice sometimes). The sweet tea is delicious. The downside is just that sometimes the service is crazy slow even when it ‘a not busy. You can pretty much always order real fast, but then sometimes it takes forever for your food to come, or they don’t come around and do refills. But those are the only negatives. The good is awesome.

Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing(chicken burrito?) but I would definitely say skip this place and head down to Moe’s. Two combo meals were $ 25 and not very tasty. The salsa bar is a cool concept, but I would rather have flavorful chicken. Their queso wasn’t very good either.

I’ve been eating here since they opened. The food is consistently fresh, fast and very tasty. Sometimes it’s difficult to find a seat because this establishment is popular. The food is priced right. And the hot sauce bar has several choices.

Cute place with great décor and friendly staff who are all willing to make your stay pleasant. Grab a seat, check out the menu and proceed to the counter to place your order which will then be brought back to your table by a member of staff. If you want to doctor it up, they have an enormous hot sauce bar with loads of different sauces to try out. The menu has your usual texmex fare but it’s a bit disappointing not to have complimentary chips and salsa on offer while waiting for the entrée to arrive. On the flip side, there’s no extra charge for guacamole or extra cheese, which is pretty surprising as well, so I suppose that evens out. The décor is colorful and fun and great music playing. The place is spotless and the staff is very accommodating. The food is better than mediocre but nothing too amazing. A decent value, for sure. Good portions. Nothing disappointing, aside for the lack of chips and salsa as mentioned, which really should accompany any texmex meal complimentary. Not sure if we’ll hurry back but we enjoyed our meal and the attentive staff.
