Hampton Inn Front Royal

We stayed in one of their king suites, which was plenty of room for our family of 5 (one infant). We enjoyed our stay, lots of coffee, cookies for the kids. The pool area was clean, and the kids enjoyed swimming. Was great after a long day of travel. The breakfast was great, they had a nice variety of stuff. Something for everyone.

We have stayed at this Hampton Inn three times now and have had a great experience each time. The people at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, and the lobby is inviting. The rooms are always clean with plenty of amenities and the beds are very comfortable. As for the breakfast, it could go either way, depending on your taste, but is always well prepared.

I have been traveling to Front Royal four times a year for 8 years. My stay with Hampton Inn from my first stay until about 2 years ago was top notch for what was expected. The last year in particular I have had some pretty rough visits, my last leading to this review. I am not sure if it’s a management thing or a shift in employees as they suggest but I do hope they get it together soon. The negative parts of my last stay over Thanksgiving are, Our suite smelled like a smoke pit upon entering, the blanket for the extra bed were put in closet but smelled like it wasn’t washed in a long time, when we pulled out our sofa bed the sheets were stained from the dirt of the person before, there was clear medical tape stuck to the bathroom counter in which we found out the people before had their house burned down and the woman was injured, and we had neighbors come to their room at 10pm following a wedding with the wedding party going loudly through the halls and in the room till 2am. Needless to say I will be checking options, even if I need to go to Winchester..

We stay here whenever we are on our way to NC. Friendly staff, clean rooms & free breakfast. Reasonable rates!

This Hampton Inn is pretty brand standard. Things are clean, linens are fresh, the service is OK. It’s not the Ritz; but you get what you pay for.
It is probably the nicest hotel in Front Royal, so if you are staying in the area it would be the one I recommend.

I recently stayed over at the Hampton Inn for an evening when visiting the nearby Shenandoah National Park, and found it to be an overall pleasant stay.
Location-​wise, this hotel is alright. There’s not much except a few strip malls in the area, but you’re right off the main highway and just about 10 – 15 minutes from Front Royal and Shenandoah.
The room was a bit cramped, but generally pretty clean and well-​maintained. Amenities were also pretty decent. The complimentary breakfast is always a plus when sightseeing, though they could have done a better job of keeping things well-​stocked on a more timely schedule, and it’d be nice if the seating area wasn’t quite so crowded.
In general, though, it’s an acceptable stay and much in line with my previous experiences at other Hampton Inn locations.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. Normally we’re very happy with Hampton Inns, but we specifically booked a room with a Jacuzzi in it.
The first night my wife thought she heard rain. The next night, after we used the tub, we were mortified to find it was the room above us (which must have had a Jacuzzi also) leaking through our ceiling! While they refunded one night, they offered to fix it the next night day.
We hiked that next day and could have really used the tub that night; however, we came back to find the ceiling leaking again that night.
The General Manager ended up refunding two nights of the three.

We had a good stay here. Our room was clean looked up to date and everything worked as it should. Digital thermostat, indoor pool and gym were a nice plus. Our only quibbles were the breakfast food not tasting well and the lack of seating. And while it was nice having an indoor pool it sure didn’t seem like they filtered it at all. Doesn’t give a good feeling when you come into hair and bandaids while swimming. There is a McDonalds next door but other than that you’d better have a car because nothing else is within walking distance. The WIFI was free here but it was very slow. Around 500Kb down and 250kb up. We had a refrigerator and microwave in our particular room which both worked well.

Hotel is clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and attentive. HVAC worked good and TV was good — channel selection was satisfactory. Furniture is comfortable. They have a small store and sell beer (not cheap, but beats hiking to a nearby store). The centerpiece for the complimentry breakfast was scrambled eggs with cheese and ham. It sounded good, but was way overcooked and there was no gravy or salsa to make it better.

my husband and I stayed here for 1 night partly because it was our anniversay and mostly because our hot water at home hasn’t been fixed yet. We walked in and were greeted immediatly with a smile. there was 1 room open because of a golfing tournament so we took it. Right next to the pool and exercise room. The only bad thing I have to say was a few kids running up and down the stairs which were close by — it sounded like people were pushing furniture around but that didn’t last long. The bed was oh so comfy I think my husband fell asleep mid sentence of telling me how much he liked the bed :). Very pleasant stay and pricing is reasonable.
