Wonderful food. A little empty at lunch time but that just meant better service. The pecan crusted trout was cooked to perfection.

Great service. Great food. Best impromptu dinner stop I have had in a while. Mussel appetizer was superb! Excited to find such a gem.

After seeing this place was 3.5÷5, I went in expecting casual dining without much flare. But I left knowing this place offers dishes with some absolutely fantastic flavors! We started with the artichoke dip. A classic. And I’ve come to expect or assume that it’ll be the same old thing — thick layer of gooey cheese on top and actual dip below. Well, no gooey layer of melted cheese here(kinda disappointing to me personally). However, there was a layer of bread crumbs and crispy cheese on top. And I have to say that it had a great amount of flavor and a tiny bit of heat. I particularly enjoyed it with carrot sticks, which I think were offered more as a garnish. But the waitress was happy to bring us a plate of carrots for no additional charge. Next, our waitress brought a basket of bread — three cornbread muffins, a muffin with a little bit of heat and a spinach and goat cheese muffin. I tried the first and last and covered both with the amazing sweet apple butter and enjoyed every bite. I don’t eat carbs on a regular basis and I don’t really miss them very much. But I have to say that these muffins were incredibly fantastic and I’d happily eat an entire basket! Three of the four of us ordered trout — apparently that’s the popular dish here. My husband told me I absolutely needed to try his stuffed trout. Now, I am NOT a seafood person, but every time my husband insists I try some of fish he’s ordered, I do it anyway. And every single time, I’m reminded of why I don’t like fish. Until this dish — probably because it was stuffed with cornbread and absolutely covered with cheese. I ordered the smothered steak. It comes already cut into perfect slices and, of course, smothered, in mushrooms and onions. I don’t even like mushrooms, but these mushrooms were bursting with flavor that went perfectly with the rub on the steak. I ordered my steak medium rare and that’s exactly what was on my plate. Every entrée comes with veggies of the day and a choice of any other side — I went with the asparagus. The asparagus were cooked and seasoned to perfection, but I have to say that the other veggies weren’t seasoned at all. But that worked out alright — I was already so full from all the other good food that I took those veggies homes with me to season myself. I really hope we go back to this place again because the food really did blow me away! Next time, I’ll have to try their cheesecake brownie for dessert!

Their seafood is amazing. We were able to make a reservation online a couple hours before and we were seated right when we check in. There was live music by the bar and Doug was such a good server.

There’s nothing exceptional about this place… but it’s a decent place to grab a beer or two and some food. I had Joel’s Bowl(of course) and it was excellent. The other dishes looked pretty appetizing, too, like the burger and even the shrimp looked pretty tasty for being about a thousand miles from the nearest coast. I thought the beer selection was OK, but it had enough of a selection that I could find something. The ambiance is pretty classy. It’s like the Buckhorn Exchange except a lot cleaner and with more space. We’ll go back.

Just got into town… our son suggested Silverheels… good choice. Interesting appetizers… great bowl of seafood chowder. They were playing great music while we ate(at least in my opinion). Definitely would recommend them for lunch.

Great mid-priced restaurant with great family feel and decent food. I would recommend this to all. Portions are great, quality good, and service was excellent.

Our family celebrated New Years here to end our vacation in Frisco and we are so glad we did! This was a great meal with wonderful service! My husband had the special of the night, which was a surf and turf. I had the ahi tuna. My oldest had the fish tacos, middle son had the ribs and our youngest had the kids meal steak. All of us cleaned our plates so that should tell you how we felt about the food.

We had a really great meal here. Soup and salad for Uncle Trip looked great and the chowder was great! Ribs and fries for my baby mama, ribs were very meaty and with sweet baby rays! Lemon pepper trout with creamy rice and veggies for me. Trout was great, I would ask for sauce on side. Rice was great, not healthy! And the veg was good but I don’t like squash. Good beer and wine selection, good service, and live jazz!

We had a wonderful meal at Silverheels. I started out with a small Cesar salad that was huge. Then my wife and I split the filet with scallops and hollandaise. it was delicious and came from arrived on two plates. A slight uncharge for this but so worth it. the steak was tender, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The scallops were delicious too. We ordered a dessert to go and our server packaged it so the ice cream wouldn’t melt before we got home. We haven’t eaten it yet but I am pretty sure it will be great. A couple of reviews commented on the poor service. We could not have had been service. Our server was Chris. He was attentive and thoughtful(split plates, dessert to go), and did not hover. Drinks were refreshed frequently and dishes cleared promptly. We were very happy with our choice and will make another stop to Silverheels in the future.

Clam chowder and fish tacos were alright. My husband had pecan crusted trout– rice was the best thing on that plate. All in all it was alright.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years — when they used to be in Wildernest. The filets are always excellent. Scallops are excellent too — but portion size is smaller than other entrees. One of our all time favorites is the Chicken Anasazi. They also are very accommodating when asking for changes to menu items. For a real treat ask them to make the Silverheels Steak Oscar with a filet instead of the sirloin. They also give you great muffins they make with flavored butter! YUM! Check the Summit County Journal for special offers, especially during mud season, summer, or shoulder season. This is the free local newspaper you see in blue boxes around town.

This was the best meal my husband and I have had in ages. Started with potato Brad that was so good it didn’t need butter and jalapeño corn muffins that had just the right kick. I had the chicken and every single bite was perfection. Everything on my plate was awesome. I enjoyed every bite. Vegetables were seasoned perfectly and the corn on the cob was extremely sweet. My husband had the pork chop and said it was all perfect. We haven’t even gotten to dessert, but since everything else was so good we have to try some.

We ate there on Dec. 27, 2014 and had the best meal and a very dynamic server! She made our experience memorable. My husband and I returned in July 2015 and sadly did not have the same experience. The bar tender may have made the worst white russian I have ever tasted, the food was just okay and the server was just doing what she had to do to get through the shift. The ceasar salad was sub par, the steak was good, the mixed veggies. Really? My husband had the stuffed trout, it was good but again we both left feeling as though the restaurant must be under new management. What we thought was stellar in Dec turned out to be just another restaurant in July.

More than pleasantly surprised! Good menu, great food, attentive service and a comfortable place. If you’re heading over the divide, down to Breckenridge, or west to Vail, stop here! It’s only a few minutes off the highway. Had the Ahi app with cucumber salad which was amazing with the Wasabi vinaigrette. The gyro sandwich was excellent as well. Definitely going to make the stop next time through!

Stopped in our way back to Denver from Vail for a quick bite to eat on the day after the 4th of July. We had my dog with us so we sat outside. Our waiter was a tall guy, who was very abrupt. He hardly listened to our order. I tried to catch his attention to get a glass of water as he was dropping off food at the table next to us and he rudely said I needed to wait until he came back. The table he was serving laughed, said he seemed to be really busy & not too concerned with service. It started raining so we had to leave pretty quickly since we had the pup. My friend went in to wash her hands on the way out. When she exited the restroom she overheard our waiter complaining to another server in the kitchen that we hadn’t tipped 20%. The lady he was talking to said something like«wow, how rude»… The bottom line was that HE was rude, didn’t give service worthy of ANY tip. We tipped about 17%, not exactly insulting! The food was decent but nothing special. I will steer clear of this place and would recommend others do too if the same server is there. Offended & annoyed!!!

While I was on vacation in Colorado, we stopped into Silverheels for Happy Hour. We had the Thai Curry Mussels, Fish Tacos, and to drink the Hornitos Margarita. The Fish Tacos were my favorite. The cabbage slaw really bought out the taste of the fish and made the tacos. The only downfall was that they were a little cold when we got them. The mussels were tasty as well. They were pretty meaty and they came with a bread to dip in the broth. I also really liked the fact that noodles came in the broth as well. The Hornitos Margarita is awesome. If you ask for it on the rocks it is strong and made like a real margarita. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and the mussels were fantastic for an afforadble price!

HOLYTROUT! Pretty much dominated the menu. We wanted steak for a friends engagement party, but would have paying 30 $ for a 4oz steak is pretty ridiculous. A 12 $ burger is kind of extreme too. Not a whole lot of selection. I guess it’s good if your about to propose, making 80k a year, and are on a strict seafood diet. But the 10 of us were on vacation, and none of those prerequisites applied. Wasn’t Turing up on that. 2 stars though because the margarita was decent.

I brought my former boss here once, his comment was«this is off the chart!». That’s always stuck in my head. Great food & unpretentious. I’ve only had dinner here once, but have had many beers and lunch quite a few times. What I like about the bar area is that it has big windows all the way around the small area and is right on Main St. You can actually stare out at the mountains and watch people walking by while enjoying a cold brew and/or dining. They have some higher priced items including seafood and steak on the full menu. I’ve had the ahi tuna before and it was awesome! For smaller portions and more down to earth prices, try the Happy Hour menu. I had the fish taco’s and was pretty surprised by how big the fish portions were. Very, very tasty too. I can’t remember what the flavoring was on them, but damn that was good! I may just have to go back next weekend and have that again. Beers are very reasonable at about $ 3.50 for a pint, but that may have been happy hour also. This is my favorite place to go in Frisco or even Dillon/Silverthorne area after mtn biking. I’ve taken friends and even co-workers there and everybody is always surprised by how good it is. They have live guitar music on the patio in the summer also. That starts at 6:00 ish, and the tables filled up this past Saturday(July 19, ’14). The two guys playing and singing sounded pretty good to me and it didn’t cost any extra. I’ve never had bad service here, though when they are really busy in the restaurant side, the bar can start seeing overflow demand also. They have a few tv’s in the bar area that have sports on. Good for checking in on any sports scores or status in between relishing the views outside.
