First time at the Eldorado location this weekend. Equally impressed with this location versus the one on Preston and Warren(which is the other Sharkey’s in Frisco). Lots of cute toys and everyone was really friendly. The stylist was super patient with my crying 2 year old. I am soooo glad that I chose a children’s salon for my baby. The stylist knew how to handle the situation perfectly and quickly. This salon though is very crowded — more so than the other location. So again I would really recommend an appointment. Otherwise you would have to be really lucky to get in at all.

We love this location by Eldorado parkway. The hairstylists did a great job with the kids’ haircuts. We love their welcoming and very wonderful customer service. The package is awesome. Kids love coming here!!!

I am soooo happy for this location! They are doing so well that they can announce upon arrival that«since you are more than 5 minutes late for you appointment, per policy, your appointment is cancelled and a walk-in has taken your place». This is despite the fact that the 5 minute policy was not mentioned when making the appointment, and«life» happens as it did this day for our family. This was going to be our first appointment at sharkeys. What was going to be our first, ended up being our last.

My family is in town for the Easter weekend and decided to get our son his first haircut. He’s 15 months old and has a head of hair. We called and Whitney helped us out. She was extremely helpful in getting him an appointment and giving me directions. We arrive and everyone was very nice. Regina got«the shortest straw» and got Matthew. My wife and I were nervous but we had nothing to worry about because our son was an angel, until the very end. The demon came out and he let everyone know he was done and it was nap time. Through it all, Regina was amazing. She was calm, cool and collective. Thank you to Regina for her patience and talent and Whitney for her great customer service. BTW…his haircut came out great.

Despite reading the bad reviews, I decided to take my kids there as I usually take them to Great Clips but my 3yo has a fear of getting his hair cut and I figured going to Sharkeys would be ideal since he can play video games while he got his haircut. We got lucky as we went as soon as they opened and were seen right away even w/o an appt. My son had Ms. Sylvia cut his hair. I cannot say enough nice things about her. She really took his time with him, made conversation with him, and knew how to distract and redirect him if needed. My daughter ended up with Kim who is another great stylist and was just lovely. I didn’t realize that with girls cuts you get all these extra perks: scented shampoo wash, cut, blow dry, hairstyle, hair clip, facial glitter, nails painted, ring, and a balloon! Not bad for $ 25! My son’s cut was $ 20 which is a lot more than I’m used to paying normally but I’d pay more just to have Ms. Sylvia cut it again since she took the fear out of haircuts for him. All around great experience and I highly recommend you make an appt with either of the ladies listed above and try to go on a weekday when they first open!

I took my daughter here for a hair cut and style. when we arrived I advised the stylist that my daughter was extremely tender headed and very nervous and to go slow. I was informed that if she went slow she would HAVE to charge extra. when I asked how much extra she said it depended on how long it took and she had no idea. She said she had another appointment coming in 15 minutes and would likely not be able to do the haircut, only wash and brush. I was furious. These people are jokes and have no business working with children. My daughter and I left and went to a real salon where the stylist was happy to take her time and very sweet.

Cute concept. I love the vehicle chairs and tvs for the kids. However, the stylists were not great with young kids. One stylist seemed like she really didn’t want to be there. Out stylist didn’t want to cut my child’s hair as I requested either.

I’ve been coming here for about a year to get haircuts for my two boys. The cuts have been ok– nothing spectacular and sometimes not evenly cut but I will give them the benefit of the doubt as the kids are usually shifting around and not sitting still. They have cars/trucks for the kids to sit in, video games and movies which helps. The problem is the cost– it went from 17.95 to 19.95. Wow, thanks but no thanks! The cut includes a shampoo, style and tattoo. I’ve never been offered a shampoo nor a tattoo. Not a big deal as I could ask for it myself, but for twenty dollars for a boys haircut you better be asking me if I want everything that’s included. The front desk staff is ok, but the girl who cut my son’s hair today had smokey smelling clothes and breath. Now, I don’t care if you smoke but please spray yourself/have a mint so me and my child don’t have to breathe in your smokey odor, Mmmmkay? Three stars for the cars/movies, and the fact the boys love coming here. For value it should be a 2 star review.

Great atmosphere! Had to make an appointment to get my sons haircut but it was the day before Thanksgiving so that was expected. He loved playing video games while getting his locks chopped off. Will be going back

Love this place. My daughter tells me that she thinks she needs a haircut about every other week so she can go back. They are so good with kids and know what makes them happy. I love that her hair looks perfect when we leave. 5 stars cause there’s not 6!

Total waste of time. The stylist seemed like she had a bad day. I asked for a style booklet but they don’t have any. It was just not worth it for the price these guys charged. Will not go there anymore.

We use to go here because my son loved the chairs and free balloon. However, we no longer go her because the service as become atrocious. Our last few appointments, the girls at the desk are rude and do not seem to be interested in greeting their customers. They were interested in having their personal conversations for all to here. Also, supposedly walk-ins are welcome but when my husband tried to walk in with our a son of couple of times they said that we would have to make an appointment. The second time, there was only one kid in the chair and no one waiting. It unfortunate that the front staff does not have it together, as both my sons have always gotten good hair cuts. Also, much to my son’s dismay, they no longer give the kids a free balloon. Final straw for us.

When my toddler finally needed a haircut, I couldn’t imagine having her sit in a regular salon chair for very long. I also thought there might be a salon for kids out there. I found Sharkey’s in Frisco — though they are an international chain. The salon is small but has lots of kid friendly toys and snacks, plus great salon chairs that are actually cars and jeeps. There is a «first haircut» package that comes with cute little gifts and they always have balloons. My child sat still, watching a movie, while the stylist worked. She told me they also do adult haircuts as well. They also host parties where they do hair and makeup for all party guests, including feathers, manicures, glitter, etc. I was pleased with the service and the pricing.
