love this place. I am originally from newyork so this is proberly a good whole in the wall resturant. Staff is very friendly and its in a nice dim setting. Never brought my own bottle of wine but sure will soon.

This one of my favorite places to go. The sauce is homemade, you can taste the difference. I don’t like Chef Boyardee, never have. This does NOT taste like that. I’ve had the lasagna, spaghetti with and without meatballs, fettuccini Alfredo, manicotti, baked ziti, cheesy garlic bread, and tiramisu(that is to die for!). I love it all! Very down home atmosphere with good prices. It’s a byob with no corking fee.

Not bad. Rolls were warm and out of the oven. This quaint quiet little joint is a family run of the mill italian place. Food isn’t very glamorous and you could probably make it at home. Nonetheless service was pretty good actually. Food was definitely cheap; just not exciting. Traditional italian american eats: lasagna, fried ravioli, chicken marsala, stromboli, etc. I ordered the lasagna. The lasagna was placed in a single oval cassarole dish. It was oozing with cheese. It was a cheesy adventure. It was mostly liquid. It didn’t seem frozen and it seemed really mushy. It probably was reheated. The lasagna lacked body. Oh well 10 dollar lasagna. My wife ordered a stromboli. That actually looked tasty. Simple pizza wrapped up and baked. Nothing complicated. Overall, i would have rather spent it on two large pizzas from one of those chain restaurants. However, bright parts of this divey adventure was that service was good and it had a nice family diner atmosphere. It seems a lot of the locals come here and bring wine. I would recommend bringing your own bottle of wine as well as a bottle opener.

It was horrible!!! Only thing that was good was the garlic bread and the sauce of the stuffed mushrooms. Sales was wilted, service was not good, never came back one time to refill drinks! Took an hour to get main dishes … Chicken picatta was so dry, lasagna was a cheese overload no meat!!! Would not recommend this place!

We use to go there a few times a month, but the last 2 visits, especially the last one, will probably the last time for a while. First, the small pizza we ordered had very little cheese and sauce on it and when we bite into it, it was mainly dough. Then we order the trio of lasgaua, chicken parm and pasta. We had some pasta but the chicken parm and lasagna portions were very very small for that price. I wouldn’t recommend ordering that at al for the price. I thought Olive Garden’s portion was small but this was smaller and not worth it.

We started coming here about 9 months ago when we got a coupon. We now come often. The lunch menu for $ 6.99 is excellent(choices are limited to about 6 – 7 things — all of which are very good), and their regular menu is also great. I’ve tried several things from their different menu and have not been disappointed. My hubby has a few favorites now(me too), but we will often try new things when we’re in the mood. It’s a little ways away from our home, but the ride is worth it. Their rolls are hit, fresh and just plain wonderful and they’ll gladly give you more if you ask. I always have the dressing on the side for my salad and have tried all but the Italian. All are very good. We’ve also had a special request here and there and they’ve been happy to accommodate us. «The girls» and I like meeting here too, usually for lunch, because we can have our wine and chat and eat and chat some more and never get pushed so they can turn the table like another place we used to meet. The food is excellent and we like the service here too.

I really wanted to like this place. We’ve been looking for quality italian restaurants since moving to the McKinney area last year. Ended stopping here when driving by. We ordered a small pizza for the table as a starter. Nope. Not a pizza snob from NY, but decades in NY has created certain taste expectations that were left wanting during our visit. Ordered the chicken and pasta dish from specials. Not special at all. Actually, not good. Very dry chicken and flat tasteless white sauce. However, waitress was fantastic. We really liked talking to her and she really took good care if us. I could see if you live near by and want to go with a couple of friends with byob, it could be fun. You just can’t go for the food.

I can’t really understand how anyone can even think they have great pastas. I do love the service, the wait staff is very attentive so love that, however, besides the BYOB option they have, I cant think of any other reason anyone would go here. The cheese tortellini is not good, gave it a second try with red sauce this time and it was still terrible. My husband tried the fettucinni Alfredo with shrimp and it wasn’t cooked well. I can frankly tell you I will never come here again. Only reason we gave it a second try was because our friends are a big fan of this place and insisted on dinner here. To top it off, the AC was broken and they had the fans turned off. It was a furnace in there and we were all sweating. Not good…

Good reasonably priced neighborhood Italian restaurant. Very home town/small town feel. The décor has a feel like you’re sitting right outside mamma’s kitchen. You can bring your own wine as well and they’ll provide the glasses. Watch local circulars for discount coupons too.

Very yummy Italian comfort food! Very rich dishes at an affordable price. It’s BYOB which is fun and the service was very attentive. If it were healthier we would go there more often. Very good food though! Fun hole in the wall kind of place.

Best Italian in Frisco — absolutely AUTHENTIC! I highly recommend their bolognese and their pizza — both outstanding! Their service, is courteous and accurate — and they are even friendly on the phone with take out orders. I highly recommend this place.

Mediocre food and slow service. They really seem to hate my children done we basically have to beg for refills. It’s loud and crowded. Usually paying out is a 20 minute wait

This place was great! BYOB, which is a huge plus. Bring some cheap wine and an empty stomach. The food is 4⁄5. I’m sure I’ve had better Italian food, but not for this price. Take a date here and you can get a great dinner for two for under $ 30. The waiters are friendly, atmosphere is comfy and casual(good for dates or family), prices are low, restaurant is clean, service was fast and food was hot. Would definitely recommend the lasagna. The garlic bread is also great(you get a pretty big loaf for only $ 2!)

My wife and I came here for Valentines Day seating took about 45 minutes when there were ta. bles finally nobody sat us and we seated ourselves. Literally took 45 min for app of lobster ravioli. Lobster was not fresh frozen for how long? Waitress did not want to do our table and switched with another. ordered our dinners and we’re aweful. I even told the waiter to try my food and he said it was aweful. and we decided to leave the waiter felt bad and comped the meal even though we didn’t eat any and left never to return. This happened in 2012 snd my posts have been deleted twice

Slow service, uninspiring food. Will not be back. Try Covinos in Plano for good Italian. If you want pizza, Grimaldi’s in Allen. IDK why this place is raved about.

I try and support mom & pop places because so often their pour their heart and soul into it, this place us no exception. We started off with the calamari appetizer. It was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Freshly breaded and flash fried, with fresh marinara. I ordered a trio of lasagna, chicken parm, and penne ala vodka trio, and friend had the chicken ricone. Everything was hot and delish. The waiter got a larger than normal tip for the VERY attentive service. Needless to say, I’ll be back again and again!

I was in Frisco around dinner time so we Unilocaled to find an italian joint nearby. When we got there, the place was packed!!! We got the pizza and the veal parmesan. Pizza was okay, nothing special. The veal parmesan on the other hand, was DELICIOUS! It had a nice crisp to it, but it was VERY tender. I also got a pretty good portion of it, got about 4 strips of veal, which is more than most restaurants serve. I thought it needed a bit more sauce for the pasta and we were given a huge bowl of it. I will probably hit up this place if I’m ever in the area but it’s not amazing enough for me to drive all the way to Frisco(from Irving).
