Happy to say they have stepped their game up! I went in last week for lunch and it was a nice surprise to see they’ve done some much needed painting and décor updates. I had the lunch bento box with a speciality roll and drink for under $ 15(before my tip of course:). This included miso soup, 2 dumplings, salad, edamame and a 8 piece roll. My waitress was pleasant and fast. The only suggestion I have is getting your dumplings fried instead of steamed, mine were to doughy. I’ll definitely be back!

A girlfriend and I with our 2 little boys found this place and LOVEDIT. We are now reoccurring customers on the regular. They offer delicious rolls at fabulous prices. I can’t say I had a roll I didn’t enjoy. My favorite from our last visit was probably the Las Vegas or the spicy eel. Yum going to tomorrow cause I’m craving it now. :) enjoy

We already eaten in this place for several times, and overall my opinion for the taste of the sushi is good but nothing special and the price just a little bit too high like regular Japanese food or regular sushi restaurant will be better if you get coupons but hardly to be find. But near this place there is a Kroger supermarket and they were selling sushi too inside with the same taste but better in price.

Wow. We get takeout from Avocado quite regularly, but typically stick to the super basic rolls(spicy tuna, spider roll, etc.), which are all pretty good and priced well. However, this weekend we got a big takeout order — soft shell crab roll, first love, sunshine, and spicy salmon. Holy deliciousness! Seriously, this place is really underrated(even by myself, previously). The soft shell crab roll was simply amazing, and at both ends of the roll were big crunchy pieces of tempura fried soft shell crab that made me want to eat nothing but fried soft shell crab for the rest of my life. The first love was simple, classic, and delicious, a compact roll with fresh salmon, tuna, cucumber, and avocado, topped with masago. The spicy salmon had the ideal amount of heat, with a dab of sriracha on top of each piece. My favorite was the sunshine: crab meat, cream cheese and avocado topped with very, very fresh pieces of salmon. I also regularly get the spam roll, which is like spam musubi in roll form, so if you’re into that, get it. Their miso soup is good as well, although I’ll admit it’s hard to mess that up. In other words: TRYTHISPLACE. Tip if you live in Frisco and get that«Go!» ad in your junk mail: Avocado has GREAT coupons in there($ 5 off of $ 25, buy one get one 50% rolls, or free edamame).

I not sure what the other Unilocalers see in this place. The owner is the sushi maker. The phone rang and he answered it with his gloves on. Then he turned and continued to make sushi. Ok, I can see some people not caring about that… Then the owner who makes the sushi wiped his nose as if he had an itch, with his gloves on, and he continued to make the sushi, ok, maybe no one cares. Then our order comes out completely wrong and when we told the waitress she said sorry and then gave us the bill for everything… We ate nothing because the smell of the tuna was so bad I think it was last Mondays Tuna from 3 weeks ago… You would be better off going to Kroger and buying the ½ off sushi…

I should’ve known to turn around and walk out when we walked into an empty restaurant at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. However, we stayed and tried a few rolls. I don’t want to be mean, but YUCK. I can’t believe this place is still in business. The salmon was old and the tuna smelled bad. My husband & I tried to get over it, but couldn’t get beyond a couple of bites. We paid the tab and prayed not to get sick. Save your money.

I love this place. The atmosphere is very relaxing with lots of low lighting, authentic décor, and great music. The staff is very nice. The food comes very fast and it is absolutely delicious. I always enjoy coming here! I highly recommend this as a great sushi place in Frisco!!!

Why are people slamming this place? I love sushi, and I have had it all over the world. This is not the absolute best ever, but it is definitely good. And sushi is expensive, I don’t care where you go. In fact beware of a cheap sushi. And I highly question the food poisoning twice. Who suspects that they get food poisoning from a place, then goes back? Then is also unlucky enough to get it again? Then knows several people that also got it? No way. The rolls are quite large. I will go again and I recommend it. We tried the soup, quite a few different rolls. My son tried a fried rice dish. That was not the best. It had a flavor I couldn’t quite place. White pepper maybe, and too much of it. The sushi is good. The address is wrong. It’s 3245 Main.

We go here every other Friday night and never disappointed with the service or food. Recently(few months), it changed ownership and the rolls are even bigger than before. It seems they do a lot of take out orders, but there is almost no waiting for food. The sushi is fresh, we have never gotten ill and the price is super affordable(not expensive at all). Also, you can BYOB. Try Fire 911, French Kiss, Spicy New California, Chicken California or the Volcano and you’ll be glad you did. The ginger is the best we’ve had and trust me, I lived in NYC for 8 years and had the best of the best before moving here. The lunch special Bento Box is a steal for lunch.

We have been here many times. They are always friendly, the prices are reasonable, and we love the sushi. Btw, you can bring your own bottle of wine!

So glad that I found this restaurant! They have great prices, complimentary sake, BYOB, pictures of EVERY sushi roll(and so many to choose from!) and a friendly staff. The sushi was fresh and delicious on the Friday night that my husband and I went here recently and they even had coupons sent out in the mail(how we found them). Not a great lively atmosphere but as far as the food, service and pricing goes, they get 5 stars in my book!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had the Beverly Hills Bento box. I have eaten this once a month for over a year. It’s always been something I looked forward to. My edamame was soggy and flavorless, the fried dumplings were under done. The rolls had something unidentifiable in them, kinda brown, green and crunchy. Also the salmon on one of my rolls tasted less than fresh. If I get out of this without becoming sick, I will be surprised. I told the server and even offered to tell the new owner when she hinted at being nervous about telling him. Ugh! I will not be back :-(

Have eaten here a couple of times and never a bad roll. Too pricey for what you get.

Depressing atmosphere, unfriendly sushi chef with a blue tooth in his ear, and attempting to cut costs on fish by stuffing EVERY roll with cheap crab meat. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

I can’t Unilocal loud enough about this place. I have been literally once or more a month since i have been recently introduced to the world of sushi rolls. The menu is pretty large, the food is consistant, there is never a wait, and the bento and dinner specials just make sense! Ever spent $ 20 or more on one sushi roll and some watered down miso? you will not get that here. the prices are very competitive and you get that great rice near perfect seafood. I can’t even drive BY without stopping. For the price of a regular lunch, you get great food. Seriously, try it out, because it will NOT dissapoint.
