Don’t expect much when you come here. I had the«club» sandwich and I could have made better at home. My friend had the spinach salad which came with shrimp and she was very happy with it. The café is part of a church campus, and the food and portions are for old church ladies. If you have a man’s appetite don’t come here. If you think classic«tea room», this is not it. You can feel good knowing you are helping the facility, though.

Great food, cheap prices — and you do a good deed by eating there. Hope Village is a private non-profit providing residential care and programs for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. The adult residents and volunteers staff the café, and the money goes to this charity. Located on FM2351, close to Clear Brook High School. The café is only open weekdays, for lunch. The tea room has a gift shop, with ceramics and soaps and lotions made by the residents for sale, as well as other gift items. I go there often and LOVE their sandwich sampler plate. Often I’ll just call and order it to go, if I’m by myself at lunchtime. The spinach salad(with nuts, strawberries, and mandarin oranges) and the cream of potato soup are always a hit with my friends too. The Devonshire cream is my favorite dessert. You write your order on a form by your plate, then pay at the cash register on your way out. Keep in mind the waitpersons are working to learn independence and self-respect, or as volunteers for the cause, and«tips» are your choice to leave as a donation to the program(at a box by the cash register).
