This Salvation Army location is new — just acquired by them in 2013! This review is for drop-off only. Drop off your donated goods by driving to the back of the store — there will be signs to direct which way to drive. Stop within 5 feet of the back door and someone will come out to help you unload your goods, and will also ask you if you want a tax receipt — pretty standard like most donation places. The guys working in the back were friendly and helpful. Location is really close to TG High School, dropped off some spirit wear which I no longer wear anymore — hopefully it can go to good use and be worn again by a student or family member! I haven’t been inside the store so I don’t know what it looks like. Based on a Star Tribune Article, it seems that this«Amazing Deals» store carries a bunch of new merchandise. I think they will carry used merch too based on the previous reviewer’s comment, and also because there is a sign on the building indicating this is a «Family Store,» which carries used merchandise, so I think this store carries both new and used. If you are unsure if your drop off donations will be sold at that particular store, maybe drop them off at a different thrift shop that’s not an «Amazing Deals» location. Do I love the store and products they sell? Yes! I go there every week! They have such great finds that were donated from Target, Walmart, etc. Found so many good deals here. I actually would rate the store a 5 star; however, due to very poor customer service, I only gave them 3 stars. So far, I’ve encountered too many cashiers/sale associate who were very rude. The cashier charged us extra. According to their store policy, they can’t give me a refund no matter what if it already went through. Although it’s a SILLY policy, policy is policy and I can deal with it. However, the cashier working there was just being so nasty. She commented, «What do you want me to do? You want me to give you money from my pocket?» Honestly, I don’t care about the money. I can take store credit if that’s what your silly policy is about, but it was not okay for her to be so rude towards me and my niece. She didn’t step back and lower her voice until I responded, «Why are you acting so rude when this is your mistake?» After that she stepped back and realize I’m a feisty Asian woman. I talked to the manager and explained that I could careless about the store credit money; however, her employee needs to work on her customer service. The manager’s response was, «yeah, yeah, yeah.» I just got back from salvation army today, and I witnessed an employee there being so loud, rude, obnoxious towards a young boy around 12 years old because he was asking to look at cell phone CASES. She announced on the overhead right away, «Don’t let your kids wander around the store all by themselves.» She did not sound professional by the way. Besides, he looked old enough. All I’m saying is, I love the store and their products BUT I HATETHEIRCUSTOMERSERVICE. I understand it’s a thrift store, but retail is retail and a job is a job. If you’re not going to do what you’re suppose to do correctly then don’t do it at all. Salvation army is great but it’s disappointing that every time I think of Salvation Army… I’m thinking of these horrible sale associates as their representation. WORKONITLADIESATFRIDLEY, SALVATIONARMY. THANKYOU.

This is one interesting place. One side is predominately clothes and other used items, and the other side seems like a colorful swap meet meets a place that I think would be named, «Crazy Larry’s Deals». Big screen TV’s, Audio Speakers, Amps for people wanting some thumps in their trunk. A lot of stuff new in packages, but off brands and some retail brands. They had a bunch of newer DVD titles and newer released movies priced pretty decent. It’s a hodge podge of a lot of different junk mixed all together. Pretty well organized. Just an interesting array of items. Prices seemed reasonable.
