I ordered a beef salad to go and came home to find chicken. I also ordered cucumbers but there were none to be found. I often go to the location on Herndon and willow and have never had this problem. I went to check my receipt to see if my order was input wrong but the only information on it is how much I paid. I’m very disappointed in the service I received at this location and will keep to my original location on Herndon and willow where they have yet to mess up my order.

We don’t often stop by this location, at least as much as we do other locations. When we do, it is for dine in only. The service, which is counter service, is always friendly and fast. The orders are correct and the food is as tasty and fresh as can be found at any location. All meats are beautifull seasoned but slightly dry… with chicken generally the driest. Pilaf, hummus, pickles, salad and baklava all great. If you are hungry for fresh and healthy food before or after a movie or shopping, this would be a great place to consider.

The broilers is the only place that I crave when I’m living in San Diego and the first place I come when I visit home. I know I can count on this place for a healthy, fresh and authentic meal! If you haven’t tried this place it’s a must!

I love coming here for my lunch. The food always tastes so flavorful and fresh. I usually get the half chicken salad and that is more than enough to get me through the day. The front counter girl has always been nice to me everytime and I can honestly say I have 0 complaints about this place. I really enjoy the food and I will continue to frequent this restaurant. Give it a try if you haven’t already… I enjoy it and I want other people to enjoy it as well.

Great food and atmosphere! I like that it is so close to Edwards Cinemas so it’s easy to grab a bite after the movie. I’ve been here several times and it’s always clean, never crowded and the food is fresh.

I love their food but after my lunch there today, I am unsure I will go back. Saw a worker using a tray to smash down the trash in the trash can. Then I saw the trays up on the counter with them putting the paper on them. No cleaning of the trays what so ever. I am sorry but that is just disgusting. No one should be lazy enough to do that, especially in the food business.

I have been coming to Broilers for about 10 years– yes 10 years. I have never ordered anything other than the half chick salad– my husband, who was my boyfriend 10 years ago– always orders the chicken shawarma sandwich, always. We absolutely LOVE broilers. You must get the pita with the garlic sauce– if you love garlic you cannot help but love the garlic sauce– any you will not be disappointed. They are fast and friendly. Great place for a casual quick bite.

The Broilers has been a River Park staple for fifteen years. Seriously. I think Edwards, Broilers, and Dai Bai Dang are the only places in this part of River Park that have been open since the beginning. And for good reason. The chicken shawarma at The Broilers is out of this world. It’s so good that I want to get one of those little rotating rotisserie things for my own kitchen just so I could enjoy its juicy, delicious goodness whenever I want. My favorite choice is the full-size Chicken Salad, but the Chicken Shawarma plate is more food because pilaf, hummus, and pickles are included. They’ve always, always, always been a five-star establishment. Until I went this past week. It was a weekday, dinner, and I wanted to grab a couple salads to take home. Idk what Food Network chefs expect us to do in 30 minutes. By the time you go to the grocery store, stumbled around blindly to find the correct ingredients, borrow money against your house, purchase them, get home, unpack, start prep, start cooking, continually turn and flip and sauté and so on, then plate, then eat, it’s a two-hour-minimum process. Not all of us have access to sous chefs to put our food pre-washed, chopped, and measured in little ceramic ramekins. Sometimes it’s nice to just pick up food and bring it home. Going to Broilers on this most recent occasion made me wish I had just stayed home and cooked. When I walked inside, a few tables were occupied, but the place was by no means busy. Usually, there are at least 3 – 4 people buzzing about, running two cash registers and cooking/plating/bagging. For some reason, there were only 2 people staffed — one girl behind the register and one exhausted-looking cook. One of the great things about the Broilers is the visual feast — watching the rotating meats behind the cash register and smelling the wonderful spices. This time, there was one sad, thin-looking chicken rotisserie that didn’t even look like it was on. I know service industry jobs are tough. I’ve had one. But a blank and slightly dour attitude is not the way to greet customers or take an order. When I stand casually step to the counter after the person in front of me has submitted their order and paid and you curtly tell me to wait as you slowly staple their receipt together, it sets a bad tone for the rest of the evening. I should’ve just left. I regret not doing so. I ordered the usual — two full-size chicken salads, and to mix things up, a side of hummus. Despite me being the only person in a 10-foot-radius and in line, the csahier had a great deal of trouble comprehending a really-simple order. I had to repeat the order, spell out my name, and show her my ID twice after I paid with card. This is not a hard job, and being discourteous throughout the exchange doesn’t make people want to come back. But nevermind. If the food’s quick and good and you want to be difficult for the few seconds I have to interact with you, I’ll deal. There were two groups in line ahead of me. It took an eternity to get our food. The whole point of this place is they put some lettuce on a plate, or scoop out some rice pilaf, slice some chicken off the rotisserie, and it’s hot and ready. However, they keep the chicken on the rotisserie lukewarm and put it in a pan which goes under a reheating broiler, then slowly assemble the salad, read a Tolstoy novel, arrange a Zen garden, clean the floor with a toothbrush, then plate your food. When my food was ready the cashier hustled to hand it to me, telling me that everything was in the bag. I asked for an extra pita, since we ordered a hummus appetizer and I only saw her put 3 into the bag(one comes with each plate which is the perfect accompaniment to the chicken and heavenly garlic sauce, and then I guess they threw in one pita for two people to split a hummus appetizer?) She paused. «What?» Me: «Could I get an extra pita please?» Her: «There’s pita in there». Me: «I see that. Can I get an extra pita? Usually they throw in quite a few but I didn’t see that in the bag.» Her: *extremely long sigh* Her: «How many do you want?» Me: «One or two is fine.» Her: *even longer sigh* Her: *reaches under counter* Her: *pops up from counter* Her: «Those will be 65 cents each.» Me: «What? You’ve never charged extra for pita.» Her, indignantly: «We’ve ALWAYS charged for pita.» Me: «What? I’ve been coming here for ten years.» Me: *picks up bags and leaves* She then proceeded to laugh condescendingly as I walked away. No «thank you, see you again soon». No «I’m sorry, it’s our new policy». I brought the food home and they skimped on the chicken, which was cold and unseasoned — odd, because the food is always piping hot and delicious when you get home. I know the Kalajian family. They’re wonderful, exceptionally kind people. I don’t know what happened on my most recent trip to The Broilers. But it’s clear that times have changed.

I was there the other day and had the beef shawerma or whatever it’s called. First off the girl working the counter barely spoke loud enough to hear. She shouldn’t be working the counter. Ordered the kabobs, was told fifteen minutes… too long. I ordered the shawerma or whatever it’s called, no disrespect intended. But unless shawerpa means salty meat it wasn’t meant to to be eaten. The rice… I’ve had better. Wasn’t worth the price I paid for it and I will not go there again.

Slowest service EVER. Have also asked for ice since the soda machine is empty three times. Only one person working the grill and one young blonde girl taking orders and nothing else.

Love, love, love the chicken shawerma sandwiches and garlic sauce! I can’t speak to the rest of the food as I usually get the chicken shawerma with extra garlic sauce, but hubby loves the gyro. No other place can come close in regards to the shawerma sandwich and garlic sauce. They actually open the pita and put the yummy fresh-sliced meats inside. The garlic sauce is like pure garlic goodness, not drowned out with yogurt or other add-ins like other places.

By far the absolute best food I’ve ever had. The rice pilaf is extra pilaf-y and the meat is delicious. The beef, the chicken, the lamb, words can not describe how great it all is. Even the soda fountain is fantastic. Perfectly carbonated. This place is seriously the best. Eat here. Added bonus: the shift supervisor is gorgeous. He has a thick clock shadow and dark mysterious eyes. He is basically my superman of Armenia. My superarmenia.

I had dinner hear last night. I ordered the Chicken Shawerma Plate. I really like it. They give you two full Pita Breads, generous amount of Salad and their delicious pickles, Rice and Humous with a good amount of chicken. Everything tasted so good. Rice was moist and tasty, Chicken perfect flavor and I love the lettuce salad. This is all I ever order when I am here because it makes such a filling tasty meal. I highly recommend it.

Broilers used to be one of my favorite restaurants. However, after the experience I had I will never be going back. I ordered a falafel sandwich, and was disappointed when about a quarter of the way into the sandwich i chomped down on what felt like sand in my mouth from my sandwich. I approached the counter and explained the issue to the workers. Instead of providing a refund, or giving me a replacement sandwich the workers were required to «call their boss» to receive authorization. The owner’s response was that there are no refunds or replacements if the food was partially eaten. I asked him to call again and explain that I had barely eaten any of the sandwich. After running to the back the worker explained that the owner was firm. Aside from the fact that no one on site had authority to offer a refund, this is just an insane policy. They’ve lost mine and my friends business from here on in. It’s sad to see successful businesses treat their customers so poorly.

It’s like I died and went to heaven every time I bite into the Chicken Salad. I order the half size it runs around $ 6.39 and it’s the perfect amount. It comes with one pita, garlic sauce and a side of dressing. The romaine lettuce is topped with shavings of grilled chicken breast, red onion and feta cheese. It’s so delicious! Perfect weekday lunch! I recommend you try the salad if you are easing into Mediterranean food. The staff is nice and friendly especially the guy behind the counter with the glasses. This one is my favorite spot out of the two. ENJOY!

This is my favorite location and I work right around the corner. I spent many years in DC& had access lots of middle eastern food so I became spoiled by the easy of finding a wonderful traditional selection. When I moved back to Fresno it was a bit of a culture shock not being able to find a decent restaurant. The Broilers fills my cravings for shawerma but I still have to head to San Fran or LA for Moroccan.

I have had a couple of things off the menu but nothing very memorable. When I recommend people to this place I always tell them to get the chicken salad. It is ridiculous. Its half chicken and half salad. Comes with pita bread which is great to stuff with the salad and chicken. But what puts it over the top for me is their garlic sauce. Probably the best garlic sauce I have tasted in Fresno. Hummus is pretty good too.
