I have a barber in the family so I usually get teased when I don’t go to family. Add in that my wife is a cosmetologist and has been cutting my hair for the last several years and you’ll get an idea of why I was a little hesitant to have someone from a national haircut chain who doesn’t know my hair cut it. While I was traveling I heard an ad on Pandora for a free haircut and thought I’d try Sports Clips out. I visited on an early Friday afternoon around 1:45. When I entered I was immediately greeted by two employees. They asked for my details and got me setup in their computer system. Within a couple minutes I was being seated and was advised that since it was my first visit, I would get an upgraded experience. The barber/stylist, forgot her name, was very professional and courteous. She went over all the details of Sport Clips and what made them different. Soon she was cutting my hair after a brief run through of how I wanted it trimmed. I also have a beard that I wanted trimmed and she advised that there would be a small additional charge. The cut and trim were standard fare, no gripes and I was happy with the look and speed. I expected that to be the end of my visit but I was wrong. The associate then guided me to the back of the store where the sinks were located. She gave me a hot towel/face massage followed by a shampoo and scalp massage that pretty much had me falling asleep in the chair. After she gave me a towel to dry off with and escorted me back to the chair for styling. All in all, I was very impressed with the service I experienced. The stylist was conversational but knew to be quiet when she was that I was interested in a specific segment on the television(which are everywhere!). It was also a major perk that the entire service was covered by the Pandora coupon, which I thought was awesome! It’s been many years since I’ve paid for a haircut but for the level and quality of service, speed and professionalism, I will definitely be back!

Nice customer service and it doesn’t hurt that they’re all cute female barbers. That’s the first thing that I noticed walking in and the sports theme of this place is really suited for manly awesome men like me. I always cut my own hair because of bad experiences in the past but since my new apartment here doesn’t have foldable mirrors in the bathroom that allows me to see the back of my head while cutting, I decided not to take that chance since I’m taking this real cute girl out tmrw on a first date in SF. Last thing I want is a effed up fade, with a lopsided cut at the back. It’s the highest rated(4 star) barbershop in Fresno so this is the reason I chose this place. No appointment necessary since there are about 4 barbers on deck and cut was good. I’m not really picky as long as the fade is ok since I like my hair a bit messy anyway.

No fuss. No appointment necessary. Caters to guys with all the car, golf, outdoors magazines in the waiting room. Sports memorabilia around you. Hair stylists specialize in the simple«guy» haircuts. They keep your style on record so if you have another barber they will know what you like. Thank you!

I’m a tad hesitant when it’s time to get haircut. Too bad many cuts, and protective of my space. So after about 9 months with a hot summer on the way I caved for a shorter more manageable doo. Without more visits I can’t say how consistent the service is but here’s how today went. Walked in and was put in line behind 3 others. Only two stylists working today, both female. The wait was about 20 minutes which is not a problem around Friant & Fort Washington… I had plenty to do to keep me busy. So haircut time. Cute employee’s. Sports on T.V. which is cool(where’s the beer!?!), & real casual environment. I didn’t feel pressured to know what I wanted. Just gave a vague idea of what kind of cut I want and as the haircut progressed she made sure to continuously be attentive to if I was happy with what we were doing and she cut a little at a time as to not get too short to soon. The prices were what I’d expect to pay for a basic haircut in River Park at a well managed business. Plus for a few extra bucks you can throw in a shampoo and even a neck massage. Pretty sweet considering it’s only a $ 5 difference if I recall. So I’ll be coming back for sure. This is a great place for dudes to get there top chopped… best part for me, it’s walk in service which I love and definitely a step above your chains like super cuts. Worth it.

Being that this is a haircutting salon for men and boys, it doesn’t feel quite right being a female as the first to review. But oh well, here it goes. I came here because my dad had a two for one coupon and I couldn’t pass up a much desperately needed free haircut. Women beware, they do cut women’s hair but they can’t style it(no curling or straightening irons) nor can they thin it, cut only. I wasn’t thrilled with my personal haircut but I’m trying to be objective here. The atmosphere in this place was great. Each station had a tv showing some type of sporting event. The décor inside is great: jerseys, posters, etc. All the hairstylists I’ve met there are really nice, and they’re dressing in referee jerseys, and the owner is sweet as can be. These haircuts are cheap so don’t expect anything fancy, but if you’re looking for a simply cut and style, and you’re a big sports fan, this is a great place to go.
