You are really not getting value here, when all is said and done. Yes, many of the appliances«appear» to be 50% off. But then they tell you that while the refurbished items may have a mfg’s warranty, they also say many times the mfg chooses not to honor the warranty since these items are bought and resold. Online, you will see that many items come«certified» which means their techs completely checked them out and they are in good working order. The sales girl at this Fresno location told us that didn’t exist. We chose a NEW Samsung fridge, which was discounted about $ 500, but then she told us Samsung doesn’t offer mfg warranty, even on their new stuff. So, ended up paying about $ 600 in 3 year coverages for a washer and dryer and then $ 499 for 3 year coverage on the fridge. So, there goes all your discounts folks. Then, this was a Friday. Their next del date was the next Tuesday. We paid $ 82 for delivery and took the 1:30 — 3:30 slot(last avail) and told the sales girl that I work out of town but my husband can be home by 3PM — could they make us their last delivery and call us first? She said that we lived far enough out(about 12 miles away) that likely we would be the last delivery. Come Tues, I get a call at 11:30 am by the delivery driver who says he’s on his way. I’m like«Our appt isn’t even until 1:30 and we told the sales girl we can’t be home until 3. Can you come later?» He tells me No, and says he has to deliver now because the«other delivery driver» broke down and they have to help him out. I asked can he come after helping? He said No, it would be too late. So, I said can you come back tomorrow? He told me to call into the store and schedule for Wednesday. So, when I called bright and early on Wednesday morning, the guy who answers the phone tells me they only deliver in our area on T, TH and Sat so Wednesday wasn’t going to happen. I was irate at that point because first of all, if the delivery guy would’ve kept to the scheduled appt we would’ve had our appliances. I asked if an exception could be made, considering the error. He put me on hold and a female came on and repeated the same thing«We only deliver on T, TH and Sat.» I again explained the situation and she put me on hold and a different male got on and said«We only deliver on T, Th, Sat» and at that point I told him that he was the third person to tell me that. Was he the Manager? Yes, he was the Manager(he never introduced himself or tried to fix the issue. He seemed extremely unmangerly. I told him to go ahead and schedule me for Th but I just might come in and cancel order and get a refund. He said«You can do that.» I ALMOST did… I almost went to Home Depot but decided not to because that would cause me extra steps and Sears would be holding onto $ 2000 of my money until the refund processed… so anyway. Never got a call from them about the delivery time for Thursday, but after following up today, I guess they are out for delivery. This wasn’t a pleasant experience at all and I’ll likely not be back.

Sales staff was friendly, but not knowledgeable regarding their products. I was sold a washer/dyer and paid for delivery. I was told that everything except the dryer vent tube came with my machine. My sales person confirmed this with a second associate. When delivered I found out that the washer hoses and dryer electrical cord was sold seperate. I spoke to a manager at the store who offered to have these parts set up on my machine on their next delivery day if I came in and purchased the parts or bought somewhere else. This meant I had to wait two additional days for laundry. The manager told me these are sold seperate on all of their units… how come no employee new this as this is one of the main items they sell. Not happy that I have to take time again to buy something I had already putshased… find a way to be home for a second window of time and wait two days.

It is necessary to write an immediate review after stopping by today. First off it took 12 minutes to get the attention and or assistance of an employee. That was my first red flag. A female employee finally addressed me, and when I told her what I was looking for, all I got back in return was a blank stare. I wasn’t sure she had even heard a word I said. I almost wanted to speak a different language, maybe one preferably that she understood. Nonetheless, I broke it down by maker, line, and appliance. still nothing. All she did was stare at me with a bewildered look. it made me do a double take, and I had to ensure that she was in fact an employee because she was looking at me like I was on crack. She finally called another employee because she was apparently confused or dumb, or both. The guy was a little bit better to deal with, but I had to suggest to him to use keywords in the search engine on to find what I was looking for because he too was going item by item instead of maker or model name. Bottom line, do your research before coming in and even then be prepared for the run around.

If you’re in the market for appliances, this is a definite place to go. Most prices were 40−50% off. Also had matresses, some kitchen items and tools. If you find something you like here, the prices are pretty good.
