way too overpriced… Maybe their services are better with haircuts or dying but my «up-​do» was not very dazzling. Was it $ 65 worth? absolutely not

NICOLE did an amazing job with my hair tonight. What was once five different colors is now a pretty caramel color with highlights. I love it! Highly recommend this salon. Everyone was great! Thank you Nicole!

I got a wonderful haircut from Sierra Grace. Although there was some miscommunication in the beginning regarding what style I wanted, she delivered in the end. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I got the up-​down scan of my outfit (gym clothes) and there was little communication during the haircut after my initial hair consultation conversation.

I decided to get my haircut at planet hair and it was my first time at this establishment. I had the opportunity to get my haircut done by Jennifer and she was simply amazing. The haircut experience was very personal because Jennifer took her time to make sure every detail was perfect and having the conversation with her about life and everyday things made things extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone to have their haircut done by her and because of her will coming back to get my haircuts here every month. I was thoroughly satisfied with my haircut and I will make sure to set an appointment with Jennifer.

Go to Ashley Nicole, she is awesome! I told her exactly what I wanted, along with pictures, and explained trouble spots with my hair. She was able to give me exactly what I wanted and needed to get the haircut I wanted with my hair type. She also took the time to explain what she was doing and why multiple times during the haircut. She also asked me clarifying questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted during the haircut. She’s very professional and LISTENS to you. She is also easy to talk to and a very nice person. Cannot recommend her enough. I’ve been going to her for a long time and she’s always made me happy. Figured it’s about time I gave her a review she deserves.
I think a lot of the bad reviews on here are due to people having unrealistic expectations or are not clear about what they want from their haircut. Try to take lots of pictures with you of what you want to help the stylist out a little, of both cut and color that you want. I made a pinterest board because I hate getting haircuts due to bad past experiences and have some pre-​haircut anxiety. I think this really helped me explain what I wanted much better than if I just used my words or a magazine cutout.

Love the way Jennifer did my hair. She took her time and picked the perfect cut and color for me. I also was falling asleep during the shampoo (which is a good thing). She’s great!

I’ve attempted about a dozen times to try this place and every time they say that they don’t have time. Today I was walking by, they don’t close until 8pm, it’s 7;15pm, there are stylists sitting around you can see through the window and in calling they say that they don’t have any time for a kids haircut. I think this will be the last time I consider trying them out. They don’t seem to want my business

I’m disappointed. I had an appointment to go blonde today. My stylist was so sweet and I hated to do it but I actually, for the first time ever, walked out before she was finished blowing me out. I had made my expectations pretty clear, or so I thought. I have a lot of hair. I went in a brunette with a subtle blonde ombré. I understand that it will take more than one visit to go full blonde. I’m not new to this rodeo. However, my stylist didn’t do my all over highlight with large enough chunks of hair or something went wrong somewhere else, because I can hardly see any blonde. I now have auburn hair, rather than brunette. I’m no where near blonde. I am so extremely disappointed. I still paid $ 115 of the quoted $ 150 for something I didn’t even want. And to top it off, my stylist allowed me to leave with dye all over my forehead, not even offering to remove it. I was polite but expressed my disappointment. At no time was I offered to have it fixed the way I originally requested. Literally, I left the salon feeling sick to my stomach rather than feeling beautiful.
I called after arriving home and asked for the owner to call me at his soonest convenience. Hopefully he will have a plan to fix this because other wise, I will never revisit and I will never refer. I hate writing bad reviews but this is just me being honest.
I’m attaching a photo of me upon leaving the salon with dye all over my forehead and a photo of me after I came home and did a quick dry and style. I’m so sad. As most women go, our hair is important! I am not at all comfortable with my outcome.

When in Fresno visiting relatives, I occasionally take advantage of the opportunity to get my hair cut and coloured because it’s so much cheaper than getting it done in the «big city». Last time I visited I gave Planet Hair a whirl. I saw Kristin who gave me a lovely cut and allover color. The service was attentive and relatively quick, and the salon was clean and inviting. I think the price worked out to something like $ 30 for the cut (so cheap!) and $ 70 for the color, which was a great deal. I wouldn’t hesitate coming back.

I’ve been getting my haircuts at Planet Hair for a year with the same stylist and have been pleased with the work. Staff is friendly and attentive, and I’m so happy that I can schedule appointments for a haircut. I find that traffic and parking in the Riverpark area is very difficult during peak times.

Visiting from out of town and just needed a decent haircut that would not cost an arm and a leg. I was able to make an appointment the same day I called and was paired with Lindsay. She was ready right at my appointment time, no waiting hurray! I explained to her what I wanted and she did an amazing job! Very pleased with my cut and she was so friendly. I will definitely come back here the next time I’m in town.

I’ve been taking my 13 year old son to Planet Hair since he was about 7. The main reason is because he is super picky about his mane and always walks out of the salon looking traumatized. We have had success at Planet Hair and have had service by several hair stylists there. However, our top recommended folks would have to be Kinsey, Alex & O’Neal. They are excellent. Trust me… if you have something in mind and are looking for a change (or want EXACTLY what you already have)…this is the place to go. There have been times when they are closed (Sunday) and he would rather wait for an appointment than go to somewhere else where they will «butcher his hair». He really isn’t too picky with anything other than his locks (truthfully, he has great hair). So… to Planet Hair we go!
I have to take one star off because of their pricing system. You really never know exactly how much you are going to pay. Top stylists, independent contractors and what not. A little bit tricky.

The worst hairstyle place I have ever been to, the service is not good and they charge you more what they have on their site, and they say the hair stylist is independent and he can charge you more! It is new way of fooling people!

I used to love this place! Would come here all the time for hair and makeup for school dances and haircuts. But this week I went in and asked for a basic cut with messy choppy layers and bangs and the girl that helped me out was nice, but didn’t do anything I told her. So I called and asked if they could fix it (the receptionist was great! Awesome customer service btw), but I can’t say the same about the hair stylist. My second appt I had Kirsten, she made my visit very uncomfortable. This time I even had pictures of what I wanted and she would tell me that it wouldn’t look good on me, but I always get that look on my hair and I like how it looks and she responded, «ooookay if you’re comfortable with that» making me feel uneasy. She didn’t seem like she wanted to cut my hair I hated the whole experience. Plus it came out nothing like i’m used to and the bangs were CRAP job i’m ashamed of them… :(I’m very sad… but I didn’t want to be rude and say anything else because they’ve already cut half of my hair off… I’m not one to not tip, but I had no customer service whatsoever if anything I felt terribly uncomfortable my entire visit… :/​so there was no tip. I can honestly say I will never go in again. :(

I have been going to PH since they opened. They moved into a newer location in Riverpark that bright and open. Very modern feel.
I go to Kinsey. She really knows what she is doing and will not steer you wrong. After she does my hair, I feel great because she really understands thick hair and that it is not easy to style or cut. Plus, I get tons of compliments after. Go see her!

This is the best salon in town! I have been going here for about four years now and have never had an issue. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. Maybe it helps that I have the best hairstylist in the shop! I have recommended this place to all my friends and anyone who is looking for a great cut or color! Richard is my main guy since I don’t do color. But from friends who do color their hair they say this is the best place! Check it out !

I’m never dissatisfied after coming here. I’ve never scheduled an appointment. I just roll the dice as a walk-​in and have been pleased.
The wait is never that long. I’m usually with my family while I’m waiting, and the receptionists up front are usually sweet to my daughter.
I have gotten a different stylist each time (maybe 8 total), and they’ve all been different but good. Some are quieter. Some will talk the whole time. But they all know how to cut hair and suggest good product to keep it looking good.
Good ones that have stuck out to me are Megan and O’Neal (sp?). There are more, but they both did a good job.
