Motel 6

You don’t come to a motel 6 expecting the Ritz. You come because it is an affordable option for people who are traveling. The room at this location met all of my family’s needs and was clean. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. This motel 6 was a great stop off before continuing on our family road trip!

If I could give negative stars, I would! We had just vacated our temporary rental home about 1:00 AM and we were too exhausted to drive to our home 250 miles away. After this stay, we realize we should have just slept in our cars and cleaned up in a gas station bathroom. We chose Motel 6 because it’s pet friendly (more like hooker friendly, actually) and we had our 2 dogs and 2 cats with us.
The highlights: the motel rooms are supposed to be non-​smoking. We looked at (smelled) 4 rooms before settling on the least offensive-​smelling 5^th room. And the room that we stayed in still REEKED of cigarette smoke: long term cigarette smoke stench.
But, that wasn’t even the worst of our Motel 6 experience. The room was not cleaned between guests, that was obvious. MAYBE a vacuum was run over the carpet and the bed was made, but that was the extent of the «cleaning». The bedspread obviously wasn’t clean. I don’t even want to think about what the white stuff was on the bedspread corner. When I pulled the bedspread off the bed, I found a used condom on the floor next to the bed. Not under the bed, NEXT TO the bed. If the room had been cleaned, it would have been spotted by anybody that wasn’t legally blind.
But, I am still not at the worst part of our stay. The bathroom towels were not restocked. Judging by the hair on the toilet and in the shower, the bathroom was not cleaned, either. Two hand towels were left over from the previous guest. As a joke, I presume, the previous guest (or a disgruntled employee) had urinated on the bottom hand towel. Yep, a still-​damp and yellow spot on the hand towel. My husband took that towel down to the night desk to complain and they did nothing to rectify the situation, except to give us a stack of (presumably) clean towels.
The night clerk tried to shrug the towel off as «stained», but that’s a tough idea to sell when the towel is still damp and smells like urine! I reported it to the day clerk the next day, too. Apparently, this is an amusing thing to other people. I assure you that it is NOT funny at all when you are the person that it is happening to, AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE EXPERIENCE.
Oh, and the leaf blower outside our door ON THE SECOND LEVEL before 7:00 AM was NOT appreciated.
The one thing missing from this nasty Motel 6 experience was finding a dead hooker under the bed (the parking lot had some live ones, though).

motel 6 your the worse. guys if your listeneng dont go to this dog house you have to pay for wifi. 2 hrs later i was a little tired and i opened my bed and saw 14 bugs and 2 cockroaches so guys i went to super 8 and had a great stay. motel 6 is a dump with bugs and smoke smells theres not even a window and theres no lock on the door. If you want a good and cheap motel do not go to motel 6 i would rather go to super 8 or find a clean and 4 or 5 star ratings. Good luck…

Came for a BMX race and this was one of the only hotels left. My daughter and husband pulled into the parking lot and did not even get out of the car. 11 yr old daughter was scared to even be in the car. My husband called me saying WTH? They left.
What could only be described as hookers and drug dealers all over the parking lot. They were all around the hotel, peeking in car windows and just looking freaky! Armed security walking around.
Tried calling them to let them know the hubby and daughter were not staying, not even getting out of the car to go inside and cancel, but their phones were out of order all night.
The hubby/​daughter went and found a room for triple the price, but at least they felt safe!
Called on Saturday and told them I did not want my CC charged for Friday night as they did not stay and the hotel was freaky. She said they already charged me since we did not cancel by 6:00. I told them we tried to call to cancel but the phones were out of order. She said we should have come in. I told her no way in hell was the hubby getting out of the car to go inside with the hookers and drug dealers around, leaving the daughter in the truck with all of the bikes and stuff in the back. She said they were not hookers/​drug dealers, they were bikers. I told her no, they were not bikers. She gaffed at me like I was an idiot. I told her I think my husband would know the difference between crackheads and a motorcycle group.
Called again this morning and spoke to the manager. She seemed a bit nicer and said she would refund my card, but it would take 7 – 10 days. We will see!
Oh! Did I mention the hubby is 6’5″, 235 lbs and is not skeeved out by much? He called me saying no way in hell was he staying at this place, no way in hell was he leaving the daughter in the car while he went inside to cancel, no way in hell would he set foot out of the truck with all of those people around.

Although the staff was extremely nice this motel is not a good spot to stay. There are a lot of shady characters and extremely scary tenants. I was mortified and after driving around the building my buddy and I decided that we’d rather pay double the price elsewhere than risk an evening in this ‘judgement night’ esque environment. I’ve never left a Unilocal review in my life but felt morally obligated to warn any potentially future victims against staying here. The staff didn’t even blink an eye when we asked for a refund ten minutes after we checked in. (Although in defense of them, they could’ve been distracted by the young gentlemen spazzing out on some kind of drug in the Parking lot in front of their desk). Either way, consider yourself warned! Find a hotel/​motel closer to the college or mall.

It’s Fresno… Don’t stay here! I was here for work and needed a quick one night stay at a motel. The room smells like smoke (non smoking) and no free wifi. There is a lot of trouble activity outside so I constantly checked on my car. Stay away!

Avoid this place like the plague!
Unless, of course, you are looking for a hooker or some drugs, then this is the place for you. Prostitution and drug use are obvious at the rear of the property.
The quality of the rooms is average. They are fairly small and obviously a few years old. The bathrooms are tiny and the towels are small and thin.
