Mia’s Nails

If I could give this review 0 stars I would. I was pissed when i started to write this last night but point is, they dont care about customer service, they dont speak English, and they dont treat people with medical needs like diabetes with special care because of my 1^st
2 points and they dont have respect for people.
I will admit i came in close to closing time but I called a head to make sure it was ok to come in. I must have spoke to the only English speaking person there. I am from out of town and Unilocaled what was close by my hotel and still open. The nail tech was an old man who couldnt speak or understand English. He has a very rough hand and communicates with you by tapping your feet. I asked him about pricing and he has no clue what i was talking about so he grabbed the old lady next to him. Immediate chatter in foreign language after. When the filing got too rough on my foot i tried to tell him about the diabetes. I tried to be subtle, i didnt want to draw attention. Nope. I ended up yelling and storming out of the there with no polish on my feet. They obviously didnt need my money that bad.
I was taught how to treat people with respect, especially elders and I am especially sensitive with older people in the profession working on me because I am an Asian woman, and its a respect thing. I usually try to make the nail tech know that lll wait for a younger girl to work on me so they can rest or I will tip them really good for doing a good job. This place did not get or deserve that kind of shot. I dont normally Unilocal but I went out of my way this time because my experience was so horrific.

Ive been getting my nails done by mia for 7yrs. always fits me in never rushed even stay late a few times after closing. Glad she now has her own shop. The work i get done is time consuming i love art different designs on each nail make up as we go n my toes to match. Love mia @ mia’s nails. My mother inlaw goes there to alot longer than me since she introduced me thanks.

Ok if you’re going to come here PLEASE just make an appointment with Mia or else you’ll get less than what you want. I got the nail technician of jimmy or the guy there and it was shit work. Two of my acrylics fell off a day later, the acrylic lined over my fingers, and he just DOES NOT listen to what you want. I’m not rough with my hands, i have an easy job of computer/​desk work so my nails shouldn’t be chipping away easy! My nails lifted so fast and cracked so easy. Jesus, it was NO. Prior to me leaving I asked him to fix my nails multiple times and he just wasn’t comprehending what I was saying. I got fed up and just left even though he was not done. I walked away dissatisfied and upset.
The only thing that made me like this place was my pedi. I do not know her name but she did a fantastic job! My paint job lasted longer than my nails. Pssft never again but if I do it’s only for a pedi and I’ll wait hours to get my nails done by Mia! Say NO to Jimmy. He’s so unprofessional

Mia is awesome! She has been In the business for over 10 years finally opened her own shop a little over a year ago. I’ve been coming to her the whole time she’s great all of my nails are always even, and not bulky like other salons around Fresno. I also get my eyelash extensions from her and waxing and every time is perfect. the only thing is that because she’s so good she’s busy quite often so if you come in and they’re busy it might take a little while you might have a wait. but I do have to say the wait is worth it!
