I for one was confused with the unique aspect between Kirkland and Homegood’s because both places offer modern & vintage home décor. To make the comparison simple, think of them this way, they are like identical twins, probably similar in traits but very different in character(both different companies). The similarity traits between the two is obviously seen by the assorted varieties of home décor that both places offers — high end vintage and modern styled décor. The vague similarity is also seen in price, where both are aiming to be the affordable home décor store, with home goods winning the battle of the prices. The clear differences is not firstly seen by sight, but the sense of smell. The very moment I entered the Kirkland store I was charged with the smell of fresh gardens and potpourri, its almost like the Abercrombie and Fitch of the home décor store. The store is definitely more fragrant in comparison to its twin — home goods. Kirkland also seem to be more dense in comparison to home good, where aisle was not seen, inventory was packed close together, and inventory was scattered everywhere and not strategically arranged like at home goods. The unique factor that resonates Kirklands was also the prominence of paintings, artistic mirrors, clocks, artificial floral arrangements and candle sconce can be found at very reasonable prices. I have purchased vintage wooden plank décor four years ago, and its still in good shape. So I must say the quality is good here. I do however notice that the styles at Kirkland tend to be more gaudy for my taste, where the main colors are tans/browns/golds. which isn’t bad but it’s so predominately so in here. The price although not made for the thrifty club, is quite affordable, for under $ 10, I could find small accents that are sure to make a statement in any room in my humble abode such as a brass key assortment made perfect for hanging. I also found the scented pouches for drawers and small spaces to be reasonably priced. Kirkland’s is also well stocked with seasonal décor such as christmas, halloween and thanksgiving, and once again at affordable pricing, which keeps the wallet from thinning too fast as I decorate this season. The service has always been friendly at this location. Although I still prefer home goods for most of my home décor things since the style matches me better, but Kirklands is not a loser in the home décor game, it is and always has been the other home décor store that I would frequent for home accents and home finishes.

How did I not know that this place existed?! They have quality items for bargain prices. Their staff really go out of their way to help you out. The ladies were so fantastic in bringing out four elephant paintings from the back so that I could pick out which one I liked best. And they have such a wide selection of paintings. If you happen to find the number of items at the store limiting, you can always order online.

My wife loves this store! She would redecorate our entire house with decorations from this store, If she could… The closest thing I could compare Kirklands to would be Pier 1, but without the really high prices. Kirklands is very reasonably priced. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful.

I only know this place from my wife, she drags me here when she needs someone to carry stuff. But this place is a really nice place, a lot of home décor, and a lot of bargains to be had, look for coupons on there web site, or email. The staff goes out of there way to help.

Nicely furnished store. Helpful, friendly staff. Reminds me of Pier One, but with less furniture. If you need wall hangings or other similar accessories, this is a good place to look. Prices seems pretty reasonable, too.

Kirkland’s is located in the former Shoe Pavillion in the Nordstrom’s Rack shopping center. They sell home décor items such as wall hangings, vases, glassware and candles. Some of it is borderline swapmeet in nature, but some is decent enough. Prices are pretty reasonable, so if you want to give your home a quick pick-me-up with some new doodads and tchochkes, it’s worth a stop.
