Just left this place worse looking then I went In. First, Ambiance is great. Old school Vibe very cool. Walked in for a quick cut. Got seated at the last chair. Barber was very friendly. Chatted up, the whole time. Cut seemed to be going we until we got to the facial area. Asked for a quick trim around the neck, to be straightened up down the jaw line. After what seemed like getting a tattoo on my neck, I was finished. At fist cut seemed ok. After closer inspection(when I got home) it looks as if he trimmed my neck like a puzzle peace. I also had a huge rash. Hence the tattoo feeling. My neck line looked way off and his taper, looked like a drunken fade. Before we left we asked for a quick trim on my girls A line. He failed to do that properly. I don’t know how. It’s something I do for her at home but figured since we were there why not. Bad idea. I get it someone has to do walk ins. But of your going to put someone in the last chair at least make sure they can shave a neck with a clean line. Don’t offer a taper if u can’t do it. Sorry to hate, but this was a horrible cut.

Today was my first time here. Peter(barber) was very professional and helpful on deciding what kind of haircut my son needed. The atmosphere was very mature and clean. I didn’t have to worry about bad language being thrown around while my daughter was in there. The low taper fade my son received from Peter was very good. He blended the lines in very well and even gave him his first straight edge line up. Being open on Mondays is great, im a small business owner myself, it is very rare to find a barber open on Mondays. Thank you, I look forward to many more visits to your shop Ruben.

Ruben has been my barber for the past 7 years. This is the only barber I trust. The addition to the FHS area is great. They’ve put in the work to make sure this place is classy and clean. Ruben’s barbers are professional barbers that listen to their customers and they make sure they leave satisfied. Ruben and Nate are easy to talk to(sorry new guy, haven’t really gotten to know you). It’s a good atmosphere to be in while waiting for a haircut. I’ve recommended a few friends and even they have become regulars now. The different type of customers is cool, you’ll see the elementary kid, high school, college, blue collar, white collar, or retired person. When I come in, I know that I don’t have to ask for a specific cut, once you’ve come in a few times, they’re pretty good at getting to know you. Glad they’re in this area.

Best barber shop in Fresno. Old school vibes but can handle more modern styles. Laid back. Friendly, skilled barbers. No frilly hipster nonsense or strong effort to seem trendy. The bottom line is its friendly people giving good cuts at a fair price.

I read about them recently in the Bee and decided to give them a try. I called ahead and had a good experience with Nathan. It is located right across from Fresno High with abundant street parking. The décor is modern classic with a nice blend of antique blue barber chairs, wood benches and hardwood floor laminates. They took great care to get a cut right and I never felt rushed despite 2 other people waiting. The other hairstylist however seem very preoccupied with his cell however and had the other customers waiting while he took a personal call outside for 10 mins and he looked unconcerned. The customers did not complain, although I would have. I will be back to give them another try
