Fresno’s other filipino restaurant that serves up home cooked style Filipino food, its currently TO-GO and phone catering order only currently since they are renovating their restaurant– therefore their ordering style is a little unorthodox I would call it. Their restaurant is next door to cracking claw, if your trying to find it. They are credit card, debit card and cash friendly. The best way to order their food is to call them 25 minutes ahead, and ask what they are offering today, because currently they do not have a menu — yes they don’t, but they do cook fresh daily variety of filipino favorites through out the week, so call and see what they are offering — the lady working there would explain every single dish they have, they are quite friendly. They are actually linked to the cracking claw restaurant next door, serving cajun style food, its pretty bizarre to have one side serving Filipino and the other side Classic Louisiana style, but as I said this place is unorthodox. Food prices are $ 2 to $ 12 for 2 – 4 people, Im not sure about the catering menu, that you would have to call them and ask. As for the food, the taste is as good as it gets, I mean its really authentically cooked Filipino cuisine– if you like the taste. Im not filipino so Im not very use to the wide range of their cuisine style and taste yet, however with that said, I have tried 2 other filipino restaurant in California and also I’ve tried the real stuff in Manila, and I would say this place does Filipino food justice. Yet Im not the biggest fan for Filipino food, because its lackluster compared to Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai food, nevertheless, if your looking for filipino food this is the right place. I ordered Kare-Kare for $ 12.50, it was very generously portioned with meat and tripe, and had a blend of baby bok choy, green beans and eggplant in it, it was cooked in this yellow to brown gravy, thats apparently peanuts. The dish was eaten with rice as well as bagoong, a bright magenta-colored fermented shrimp or fish paste. The overall taste is definitely an acquired taste, I liked it eventually but my sister hated it, citing to say it smelled fetid and acrid. I also order the chicken adobo $ 6.50 a filipino stew. The dish was again generously portioned with cuts of chicken with bone in cooked in a light broth somewhat like phở, but no where as fragrant as phở or taste like one; the broth itself was tasty with taste of garlic, sweetness from the chicken bones, peppercorn and soy sauce. It delicious, but again its an acquired taste, I liked it, my sister hated it. Lastly I ordered a chicken and pork BBQ skewers for $ 2 each. This was the best part of the meal in my opinion, because the pork and chicken was perfectly marinated, and grilled to perfection, the meat was juicy and is mostly sweet in taste. The sticks were huge and had lumps of meat on it. It was really a delight to eat these sticks. Overall I would be back once they finish their renovation, because currently the ordering style is a little confusing and there isn’t a menu that you could order from, i prefer consistency with a possible special that changes every other day. The owners and servers were very friendly, and they are gracious to explain to you about their food. If you do decide to try the food now, call them and ask what they are offering today.

Noodles were delicious Lumpia was flavorful with chili sauce Chicken skewers had a great flavor and was cooked perfectly I highly recommend this place and will use them for all my future catering needs.

Best Filipino food in Fresno! I’ve tried other Filipino restaurants but they always used the cheap fatty meat, but this place doesn’t. This place is small and uncomfortably warm tho. The servers are friendly but service is slow. It’s a laid back type of place. I’ll be coming back

The former Manila Grill looks to have revamped their food offerings(I don’t remember Manila Grill offering a breakfast buffet), but the main, and BIG, thing that limits me from actually eating inside is the FLIES! I hope the owner understands that the flies can be a really big setback in having customers actually stay and eat. The owners seem very friendly(they offered me free coffee and drinks while I was waiting for a big catering order), and I’d like to support my local Filipino establishments as much as possible, but the flies issue HAS to be resolved.

Hilarious! Angry Asian? Being that this used to be Manila Grill and just the name changed, I guess it’s safe to leave a review based on the old name. The food here is very disappointing and overpriced. The menu isn’t consistent. If you have a favorite type of Filipino dish, don’t expect to find it there all the time.
