Let me begin by saying that I am so tough on my manicures that even gel starts to crack and peel after less than a week of my nails.
My friend turned me on to Jewel Nail and Spa because they have a powder gel. I had the powder gel on for two weeks and it remained flawless! That is impossible with me, but it happened. When they removed the polish, my nails were longer, stronger, and didn’t peel off in layers like they do with the gel. I just shoveled the 24+ inches of snow and my nails are still perfect.
The employees are very good at what they do and the salon is spotless. They take their time and don’t ever rush you. There is parking in the back.
I am almost hesitant to write such a good review because everyone will go there and I may have to wait. But go. Get the gel powder. You’re welcome.

This place is so convenient and close to my house that I have no reason not to stop by and check it out! Although I didn’t get my nails done here, I will definitely try it out next time around. The salon looks clean and the ladies are friendly. I got my underarms waxed here and my waxer did a great job and I was in and out of the salon within 10 minutes!
The prices are affordable as well! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the neighborhood.

I love this place! Affordable and so clean. The people here are friendly, professional and do a great job. The nail designs are beautiful and they have a great selection of colors, nail options, pedicure and massage packages. It is In a great location, feels like a private spa, and there is always someone to help you immediately I highly recommend this place.

Had an amazing first experience with Helen. She took me right away without an appointment even though I needed a fresh set of tips and a pedicure. She was very kind and gave me different design options to choose from since I came in prepared with my Pinterest nail board. I loved how they’re so clean and everything is sanitized. She did an awesome job and will be making this my new salon. They’re reasonably priced and give awesome customer service. What more could you want from such a relaxing atmosphere.

This is my first Unilocal review and I was compelled to write it because of how poor the service was. I am not a complainer by any means, but the service I received was terrible.
My mother and I decided to try this new salon out for her birthday and were very excited. I have to say that aesthetically the salon is very nice. The staff is friendly and greet you with a smile.
Helen was the one that helped me. I don’t recall the name of the girl that helped my mother.
So, my pedicure starts and within 15min I was completely done with it including polish and top coat. She didn’t really «clean» anything. I had to ask her to go back and please clean the edges. After she put polish she saw some spots she missed and starting trying to cut my cuticles while my feet were already dry. Also, they did a half-​ass job scrubbing the soles of my feet. The girl that did my mother’s pedicure wasn’t any better at all.
Then we had our manicures. We both did gel. So this was not my first time doing a gel manicure and I’ve had it done at several salons. First of all, they did not soak my fingers at all. They were trying to cut my cuticles dry. When I confronted her she said this is how you do it because otherwise the gel doesn’t stay. I’ve never had a gel manicure done on dry hands. Usually they will do a regular manicure without lotion and then have me dry my hands thoroughly before applying the gel. It’s lasted for 4 weeks with no issues. So them saying it doesn’t stay on wet hands is not true at all. I didn’t want to make a scene, I just wanted to be done and leave so I didn’t say anything further. Also in every salon I’ve gone to for gel, they’ve applied sun block to my fingers prior to using the UV machine.
I was also disgusted that they shared the utensils between my mother and I. I don’t mind sharing with my mother but it made me wonder what else is going on. They didn’t even ask, maybe we prefer not to. That is not an assumption that should be made. You should never have to share anything at a nail salon. Also, during my pedicure I noticed that the little thing that they used to scrub my feet that they put on the stick was not new, it was used too. And they put it back in the drawer.
Up until this point, I was just disappointed in the poor experience we had. But during my «manicure», a man walked in and said he wanted an hour and a half long massage. Helen rushed through my manicure and even got up in the middle to go prepare the room for him. I know that she will probably make more from the massage than from my mani and pedi but that doesn’t mean she should drop me in the middle to go service another client. She didn’t even give me a back rub while I was drying, which is standard at many salons. Not that it would’ve made a big difference but would’ve been nice.
I will not be going back at all.
Update: 5 days after getting my nails done the gel has cracked. I have never had that happen to me!

Amazing nail salon. Very good prices as well. It’s a very clean nail salon and the manicurists are friendly.
