Applebee’s

I just don’t get how anyone can give this place 5 stars. The management here is horrible. Simply came in on a NON BUSY Monday night and still had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table… the table had just got up and there was no sense of urgency to get this table of 5 seated so we waited… had staff just hang out in the front just talking and yet the table is still not be attended to nor is the manager aware.
Not that we expect high level service here at an applebees (which is sad because all restaurants should be hospitable) we shouldn’t need to wait 20 minutes for a table to get cleared!
Finally after they finally saw that my patience was wearing off the table was finally «cleaned» with the manager just standing over the table watching his staff… we finally got seated and complained to the «lovely» manager who admitted that he was not aware of the situation until he came outside and simply apologized for his poor management skills. (As a manager… you suck! Your suppose to know everything that is going on… apology not accepted! I’m doing you a favor by not mentioning your name.) …
Appetizers come out and the table that came after us got utensils and sharing plates without even putting there order in yet…
Hire me and this applebees will be turned around!

This place sucks. The waiters are completely lost, my order was messed up not once, but twice in the same visit, and there was a huge piece of toothpick in my meat. When I made a claim about the poor service, the manager said he couldn’t do anything about it and brushed me off. He gave me a discount for $ 4.99 cents for the mistake. Seriously –_​_​_​_​– this place sucks …

I was at Applebee’s in Fresh Meadows Plaza some three days ago with my daughter. I was disappointed with the food quality, with the chicken wings classic. The sauce was disgusting. The best thing were the potato fries. They have increased the prices and the quality has gone down in the last couple of years. I guess that they have a bad chef now, that should be the case. What that dam manager is doing over there? Get a good chef! The Applebee’s is crowded because they don’t have any competitions around.

My bf and I go to Applebee’s at least once a week and we usually have a great time but the waitress tonight was beyond rude. She had an attitude from the moment we sat down and never made an appearance after she took our order. Our food came and we still didn’t have our water. We asked for another server but for some reason the waitress still came back and tried to argue with us about why we did not get our water. She did not apologize for the poor service that we received and was still giving us attitude. Both of us lost our appetites and tried to get out of there as soon as possible. We will definitely not be going back there anytime soon. I don’t understand how they can hire someone as rude as her to work in the service industry.

This is the first and last time i am coming here. The waitress is so rude. Horrible service. I am never ever coming back. We ordered quesadilla and she said they were out it but the table next to us got them. I will never recommend anyone this place.

I’m an apple bees fan, all the way! Fiesta lime chicken is my favorite order, the drinks are amazing. I like to wash it down with fine wine. You will not be disappointed if you go there.

This is a great neighborhood spot whether you just want quick appetizers or a full meal. The servers are generally very friendly and I am always greeted at the front door. I usually get the barbecue wings and I must say, they are so much better than Buffalo Wild Wings.
I also am a big fan of the Oriental chicken salad, although they can either be skimpy or over generous with the dressing so it’s just a lucky shot. I used to get the hamburgers, but not anymore.
Sometimes this place is so crowded, which I think is a great sign for them. Great place for big or small crowds.

If I must give them one. Disgusting service disgusting food. I love close by and did a Togo order. The Burger was burnt so was so was the bread I order a classic with cheese no cheese. The fries we sale from someone order clearly. I don’t eat burger often and so it’s a huge disappointment when they suck so much. Disgusting is the word. Never agin Applebee’s will I visit you not this location.

Went today for breakfast and my waitress was very attentive and had a great personality. The food was good and the service was great. My server was Becky. Becky made sure we had everything we needed and our food came our quick.

I mean. you can’t expect 4 star quality here but it’s Applebee’s… having said that. Great place to have lunch with the kids… kid’s menu is great .

I’ve been living near this spot for all my life. I am not sure when it opened but definitely for the longest time. I remember the first time I went there was when I was in elementary school with my older cousins (now I am 22).
So around 2 years ago my sister and I had this urge to come here. I finally made my own money then and thought Hey, I can actually afford food at Applebees. why not have a «fancy» meal at Applebees. Yeah I was pretty dumb (definitely learned a lot since!).
So we finally had our «fancy» sister date at Applebees. The first thing I disliked was our server. She seemed to have an attitude but we just ignored it. We were mostly interested in the food. Then we looked at the menu. For some reason, none of the entrees stood out to both of us but we finally decided on something. Don’t know.
When finally got our food… holy crap –_​_​_​– The portion size is so poor for the prices they charge. Then the food tasted cold… Who the hell managed the kitchen to serve cold food?
Whatever. Basically that experienced destroyed my expectations for Applebees (I had been to Applebees a few times afterwards for hangouts to other locations. mediocre food, left me disappointed). Then again I think this is what’s expected at a franchise joint. The one plus is the noisy upbeat environment. Makes it a nice atmosphere for hangouts.

My friend and I decided to stop here for brunch and the experience was ok. We came around 11:45pm and it was nice and empty. No noise or anything.
We were greeted at the door and our server came to us not too long after. He wasn’t that pleasant but he wasn’t rude either.
The food came out really fast and was tasty.
I will return

Decent prices and service tends to be better than most other Applebee’s that I’ve been to like Bay Terrace or New Rochelle. Haven’t had an issue with the food or service… yet lol.

Went here to grab a quick bite between a studying break at school because well — FINALS.
I was greeted and had the door opened for me as always. So warm and friendly no matter how packed and busy it could get. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it’s always been like that.
I sat at the bar and the bartender Michael was great. He had almost a full bar and went around asking everyone if they were ok or needed anything. Impeccable service!
I order the crunchy buffalo wings and triple chocolate melt down ugh so good. I had a $ 3 budlight, there was also a margarita special going on.
Usually if I’m sitting at a table with people I’ll get the sizzling plate and a peach sangria. Peach sangria is a must try guys!!!
I don’t come here looking for the fanciest or best tasting meals. This place hits the spot for appetizers and some main dish when you want a quick bite. All the snacks and dishes you need to enjoy company while watching a game.
Will always come back here, very inviting environment. In addition, this location is super clean!

There are only two reasons why I would come here: when eating out with a group in which I have little to no say about where we’re eating or with one particular friend who happens to live within walking distance to this Applebee’s. Tonight, it was the latter.
We decided to get the $ 26 combo, from which he ordered the three cheese pasta while I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo. We also got the two side salads as our appetizer. It was a good decision to get dressing on the side.
The chicken and shrimp combo, as mentioned by a previous Unilocaler, was terribly salty. The shrimp and potatoes were all right in comparison to the sodium packed chicken. One thing I did like about this dish was that because it came in a skillet, everything on the dish was warm till the very end.
I did take a few bites from my friend’s dish and it wasn’t bad from what I had. I only had a couple of bites though. I feel like the cheese would be nauseating after eating a quarter of the massive bowl but he didn’t complain so I’m assuming it wasn’t too bad. But then again, he ended up taking half of it ‘home’ so who knows?
Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. The man who brought out our dishes was also sweet. I’ve had visits where they took forever to bring out the dishes but tonight, it wasn’t too bad.
P. S. They have this little tech thing on each table where you can call your server, order desserts and appetizers, and pay for your meal at the end (card only). Also, they have a ‘fun’ option where you can play games. But the employees don’t mention to you that you have to pay a buck for a ‘game.’ Of course we didn’t play! Who would. (I’ve seen these little guys also being utilized in Olive Garden… This worries me! Will we have people waiting tables for long?!)
Anyways, my experience with the workers are four stars and the food is one to two stars. Hence, my three star rating.

It’s your average food chain restaurant.
I try to avoid chains to begin with but sometimes when you’re in need of a drink and Applebee’s is the only place to get a drink. fine. They have your average selection of beer and the appys aren’t particularly great.
If you’re starving and need a beer with your food, walk over to Applebee’s.

My husband and I just finished cleaning the house so we decided to go out and eat. We drove down to Applebee’s and got ourselves in for a Monday special — $ 6.99 on any burger with unlimited fries or house chips! My husband ordered the NEW Blazing Texas Burger while I ordered the NEW Brunch Burger. We also ordered the Sriracha Shrimp as our appetizer. The food was beyond good! The service was on point. This Applebee’s has become one of our favorites in the neighborhood!

I’d like to bash Applebee’s, not for their food or their service. Not in this particular instance, but for power drilling and the use of nail guns after 2am on a weeknight for non-​emergency construction. When your neighbors are trying to get needed sleep to go to work in the morning!
Way to be the «neighborhood grill and bar!»

It seems slow service, over priced food, and terrible vegetarian/​vegan options are something every applebee’s I’ve been to have in common. This one is no exception!

I really don’t care for this place but I was hungry & so was my friend. Bad decision! This place is unorganized, gets packed quickly and they tell you the wrong information pertaining to the wait time.
What boggles my mind is that people who sat down after us received their drinks first. How does that work out? I’m just not sure.
The bar wasn’t super packed but there were more than a few patrons who already had their drinks. Two bartenders behind the bar couldn’t make drinks in under 20 mins?! It seems as if our apps came out faster.
When the waiter came over with our drinks I told him this is ridiculous & please put in my order for another drink now because who knows when I’ll receive it.
I had the boneless honey BBQ chicken with mozzarella sticks. The chicken was good BUT the mozzarella sticks SUCKED! Not only did it have a strange taste but it tasted like it was microwaved for 1 minute.
