I used to go to Angelo and Al’s 20+ years ago when I was in elementary school and got special permission to go out for lunch on Fridays. I was back in the neighborhood and I decided to see if my memory serves and the pizza was as good as I remember. It is. The pizza is great. Good sauce, nice melty, slightly well done cheese, excellent meatballs. The crust was a bit thick for my liking, but a very good pie overall. I’m really happy I came back. I’ll probably be back in less than 20 years for my next pie.

I dined there this afternoon with my boyfriend. I had a calzone which was delicious and he had a baked ziti which was equally good. We enjoyed our meals and the staff was very friendly! Family owned and oriented. We will absolutely return!

If I could give this place a negative 10 I would. The worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life, and the«pasta» is even worse! The owners and staff are as rude as can be and utterly unprofessional. Last straw: My boyfriend went to pick up some lunch for us and the owner was playing around with his motorcycle outside, then comes in to take the order and tosses our food in the oven with his DISGUSTINGMOTORGREASEDHANDS. My boyfriend didn’t think anything of it until we got home and our food smelled like car oil. I wanted to drive back and make him eat whatever crap he just attempted to serve us, ever since then we have vowed to NEVEREVER enter this horrendous«establishment» ever again. There are a lot of OTHERPIZZERIAS in the neighborhood worthy of customer satisfaction and oh my god they are actually nice to their customers!

I guess my flavor palate has really changed over the past 5 months. But today after ordering eggplant parmigiana, I was utterly disgusted. My eggplant was mushy and unedible. I threw it out after 1 bite.

Honestly, it’s a $ 2.00 slice of pizza in a neighborhood without too many food options, but the pizza isn’t that good. The crust tastes really funny, and the slices are small. They recognize their regulars, but I wouldn’t go back for this pizza if I had a choice. Of course, it’s a thin slice, but the flavors just aren’t right. I don’t know how else to describe it when you compare it to a Brooklyn slice. The texture of the dough is also too tough. There’s never anyone in here, by the way, so expect your slice(which is charged tax…) in about 2 minutes.

This is good pizza at a decent price. Just don’t bother getting the Unilocal deal because they don’t accept it anymore.

A typical neighborhood pizza joint for when we need a quick slice. Heroes are good, but I’d stay away from the pasta. It used to be owned by the store’s namesakes, but they retired and sold the business to the current husband and wife owners.
