We have been to Miga couple of times and we generally like its setting and food. My wife especially like the crispy seafood pancake. We all like the baby ribs, very tender and tasty, the portion can be a bit more. Stone bowl and tofu soup, everything we ordered are very tasty and we usually gained a few pounds after the treat.

I ordered dumpling tofu soup medium spicy and it came out bland with no spice whatsoever. Such a disappointment since I did read this from another Unilocal review but hey, I wanted to give it a try. The dumplings did not taste great to me, so I just took them home and gave them to someone else(hehe). The amount of tofu in the soup was a bit too much for me(maybe since there was no flavor) & I had 4 dumplings in there so they don’t skimp. However, I enjoy a little more broth but we all have our own likings. My dduoboki however was delicious just how it taste next door(their grocery store). I did have an option of how spicy I wanted it l, so I opted for spicy. It did not come out spicy but I’m not too worried since it’s very flavorful. unlike the tofu soup. Soup $ 10.99 dinner Dduoboki $ 8 dinner The side dishes were delicious I must add. Spinach, sprouts, potatoes, kimchi, japchee, and some seaweed mixed with some clear noodles.

My go to Korean restaurant in Fremont. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. So many great side dishes to start with. My usual comfort food is the spicy seafood tofu soup. It really hits the spot on a gloomy day. Their baked mackerel is delicious too. It’s always a great time eating here

Good average. Not a bad place at all. But not amazing either. Seafood pancake I would say is one of their best dishes. Their kalbi and bulgogi is ok… Would probably stick with their tofu soups. Prices are also higher than usual.

Coined as the hidden gem for«mother-get-togethers»(aka«need-a-break-from-the-family»), I came here with my SO’s mother for a late lunch at 1:30 pm. This place is pretty hidden, but still in the same plaza as Sprout’s! Parking is plentiful. We were quickly seated and given the menu. Though they have a huge menu plastered to their wall, but be warned: the ordering number(ie: A5) might be different from the one in your hands. Prices have also changed, so you might want to ask if you are on a budget. We quickly ordered: –1 order of seafood pancake //I shamelessly ate ¾ of this whole platter. Hot! Sizzling! It does NOT have shrimp in it, but lots of octopus!(Or is it squid…) –2 orders of seafood tofu stew //There are a variety– not just all seafood is thrown in your tofu soup, so read carefully! I got the one with beef and shrimp(as the mains). I asked for mild and it wasn’t even spicy(good or bad, up to you). +1LOTSA tofu! They sure don’t skimp! +1LOTSA(mini) seafood! It’s not your typical shrimps or oysters… these are like baby sized ones. Plenty, though! –1 Beef was kind of a weird addition for me, and it tasted kind of old(lunch box leftovers?). And yes, everything comes with free, unlimited side dishes(banchan) //YUMMY banchan! Probably one of the most authentic ones I’ve had since Korea. DELICIOUS. +10 for that. Pros: –Cheap prices! The stew looks small when you get it, but it’s actually really, really filling. For the quantity, totally worth the $ 9!(RIGHT?!) –Good quality ingredients. Rice on point(free), banchans, atmosphere… YAS. Cons: –Soup was not bad. Maybe I should has asked for more spicy, but it was pretty bland. Overall, I would come here again! I’m actually debating between a 3 or 4 for this spot, but I’m holding off on a 4 until I try this spot again.(Is that a good excuse?)

I’ve lived in the East Bay for 5 years, and this is the best Korean restaurant from Berkeley to Santa Clara. Here is why: — Exceptionally fresh side dishes — Authentic main dishes — Attentive service — Down to earth, Homemade style Eating here is a treat because the food is so consistently fresh. You can tell that the owner makes her food with love and pride. Give them a try!

First, let me shout out for their awesome services. The waitress constantly check the tables and refill the tea/water/side dishes. Then, let’s talk about the food. My family and I all agree that the food is so-so. However, we think this place is slightly overpriced for what we get.

Holy moly… by far the best Korean spot for seafood pancake! YUM! Another favorite of mine was definitely their spicy seafood soup, they put just the right amount of spicy The service was great as well; very attentive and efficient. My main server was Daniel, very cool dude. Thanks for your help with choosing the best selection! See you guys soon,

Side dishes were tasty. Our Kim chee pancake was served on a hot iron plate. Soon Tofu was delicious! We like it mild and it was just right. Our waitress was super nice, and checked to make sure we were doing fine.

Delicious Korean food. Haven’t had a bad fish yet. Lots of bancha dishes. Staff is shy family ladies. But nice, especially if they know you.

My previous office would order to go here almost once a week and it would allow me to get my fill of Korean food. Most people in the office would go for the lunch box specials, either the bulgogi, chicken, saba, or salmon. They come with sides within the box so you don’t have to feel like you’re missing out if you order this to go. My coworkers have tried the tofu soup to go and usually it stays warm enough to eat as takeout. You also get a whole tray of sides to go with that so thumbs up for that! It is on the pricier side, but you not unreasonable for Korean food. It’s tucked away in the back of a plaza so parking is limited, but there usually isn’t any problem looking for it. If you’re in the mood for Korean and are in the area I would highly recommend stopping by here!

I am honestly stuck between three or four stars. The reason being their tofu soup is easily the best I have ever had! BUT I totally agree with the other reviews about their customer service. It just sucks balls. They ignore you, even when eye contact is made. P. s. Seafood pancake pretty bomb too.

I think this place is way overpriced for what you get. We got two orders of soup and one order of barbecue short ribs(which was $ 21.99). I would not have ordered it but it was the only thing that my son would eat. I asked for ice water and got room temperature tap water. I guess ice is extra. The tofu soup was just okay. The barbecue short ribs were tough and my son had a hard time chewing it. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Few things about this place: — Super rude service — Extremely expensive for what it is — The food is not that great — The place doesn’t feel clean — Again, super rude service I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

A-OK describes this place perfectly. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never thought the food was good or bad; it’s really in between the two. I’ve tried their soon tofu soup, seafood noodle soup, bibimbap, and rice cakes before and all of them were just ehh. Dishes just don’t stand out. Portions are descent though, but then again, the quality doesn’t match up to the price. They are generous with the banchan though, but I only like 1 or 2 out of the many they give. Another gripe is that we were served cold tea here once. I know, it was unbearable. Service is nice here though.

I don’t think this place is that great. I came here three times and of course I don’t leave hungry. This is honestly just a place we go go if we don’t want to go that far for Korean food. Seafood Tofu soup is not very good. We always ask for Mild at any Korean restaurant but this restaurant specifically tastes watered down and not as spicy mild as other places. The seafood in the soup is just ok. The baby mussels tastes strange and the octopus is very hard to chew on. The color of the soup is not that attractive either. Some of the side dishes are better than others. I love the soft tofu side dish and the potatoes. Their kimchi is very acidic majority of the times. The seafood pancake has no special flavor to me. It’s very cakey even when it’s on a hot stone platter. The sauce doesn’t help change the flavor at all. I was very satisfied with my lunch bento box the other day. I ordered a grilled salmon one. The salmon was grilled nicely but the fish was on the smaller side. I wish it didn’t have much char on it when it came out as well. I also wish they would put different things as the sides but they put the basic side dishes that we already had laid out in front of us. The salad had a nice acidic dressing and I thought it went very well with the salmon. When it comes to side dishes coming out they are a bit slow on that since they have to plate each one, one by one, table by table. I wish they can be a bit faster with that since there’s usually a lot of people when we go. This place is just okay to me. I rather go to the Korean convenience store next door and get some kimbap there.

Miga is a Korean restaurant located towards the back of the Fremont Plaza Shopping Center, where this is a Sprouts, Petco and a Rite Aid. There aren’t that many Korean restaurants in Fremont, so wouldn’t say that this place has much competition. It’s a small place, but has a decent amount of seating. They have the typical Korean dishes and gives you the regular typical Banchan(Side Dishes). The food here is nothing special, typical Korean food. It’s good for what Fremont has to offer. Service is not that bad, sometimes it can be slow though. Not that many people working in the small restaurant.

Where does one go for Korean food in Fremont? A quick Unilocal search and Miga restaurant comes up. Conveniently located ~30 minutes north of El Camino in Santa Clara, this restaurant provides great food while while saving a long drive. I came on a weeknight but the restaurant was still fairly busy. Hats off to the friendly service-staff who hastily demonstrated great service with a smile. I ordered the combination tofu soup + kalbi short ribs. If you go at dinner time you get a complimentary fish thrown in as well! The portions were much larger than I anticipated, and the food was packed with flavor. Overall: Good food, large portion sizes, great service, and convenient location gives Miga a 5⁄5 in my book.

Their spicy pork stone pot(dolsot bibimbap) was surprisingly good! The rice actually burned a bit and I got a lot of crunchy bits. The pork was flavored well and I didn’t have to add sauce. They also didn’t add too many crazy vegetables. I would definitely get this dish again. In fact, I would give 5 stars alone on this dish. The side dishes were okay. I thought the fish cake was a little on the dry side. The japchae noodles were very good though. The barley tea had this odd twang. I didn’t really like it as much. I think I wanted something more mild. My sister thought her mushroom soondubu was good though! Service was kind of meh, they didn’t really check up on you too much after the initial ordering.

Meh, this Korean joint is whatevers in my book. Spoiled by mom’s good cooking and the better places off El Camino in Santa Clara. However, Fremont is a meeting point with my friends, and one of them liked this restaurant for their neng myun. Parking in the small plaza lot, I realized I’ve been here before eons ago. The restaurant is small, only about a dozen tables, and we had to wait at 6PM on a Saturday for a table. Took that as a good sign. The menu is typical, and my friends ordered the seafood pancake, neng myun, bibimbap, and I ordered the dol sot bibimbap. It was a bit confusing as they have a variety of kinds(regular, bulgogi, kimchi, seafood, etc) but they said the regular had some meat. The banchans didn’t come out for awhile, and water refills were hard to get from the typical Korean restaurant. The seafood pajun was probably one of the worst I’ve had. Yes, it was crispy, but it was all batter and it wasn’t even full pieces of green onion but diced and sliced onions you find in Korean soups. The banchans were decent, probably the best thing here. My dolsot bibimbap came out piping hot which was a good sign. But it was pretty much all rice. One piece of spinach… I had to dump the spinach banchan into my bowl of bibimbap. Wasn’t worth the $ 13 at all. Overall, service was typical Korean standard service and even my friend’s nengmyun which she enjoyed last time, came out lukewarm. Unheard of. Wouldn’t come back. Sorry SueAnn K!
