I have been coming with Katie for so many years… Love the way that she make me look… I have such a «wild» hair that I ask her for some type of «fix»… She did wait until she found something that was with not too much chemicals and do not be bad for my health… finally she found it… and here I am… My hair is healthy, shiny AND straight… Love it!!!

I have been waiting my whole life to write this review.
Katie is my aunt, and she’s been cutting my hair for my entire life. I no longer live in Fremont as I moved away for college, but I regret leaving my aunt behind for several reasons, one of the top being her amazing hair cutting.
She has also cut my boyfriends hair for about a year at a family discount, and when we moved up here he tried to find a new stylist that offered him a $ 15 haircut. Bad idea, as he got a bowl style haircut and it looked awful. He is «growing out his hair» because he can’t find a hairdresser as good as my aunt.
I never had to look at the prices of haircuts because she’s family and always did my hair and brows at zero cost after school or at my house or whichever. I now am realizing that a good haircut can be around $ 50.00. Katie is so far from overpriced.
I’m shocked she doesn’t have more reviews! She’s been slammed with clients for as long as I can remember, and they love her as much as I do. I remember holiday cookies, little gifts from clients and one client even helped pay for my yearbook!
Katie, if you see this, I need you! It’s been a year since I had a haircut and I need to find my to Fremont for your skills. I will promptly pay you, because you’re the most wonderful aunt and the best hairdresser I know. Love you! — Hannah & Chris

This is the first time I’ve had the incentive to post a review — Katie is that good! Other Unilocal reviews convinced me to visit Katie for a haircut. She knows hair styling like nobody’s business, and she’s smart, funny and intuitive to your needs. I have that thick, curly hair that everyone seems to want, but no one knows how to manage it, least of all me! I was so frustrated with how it looked. After giving Katie a vague idea of what I wanted, she worked her magic, and I have honestly never been happier! Coupled with her pricing (you get MORE than what you pay for), there is no doubt that Hair By Katie should be the only smart answer — it sure is mine! I’ve since been back for my 2^nd cut, and I’ll return again soon for highlighting. Thank you, Katie!

Katie has been doing my hair for 20 years, with the exception of a few times I have tried somewhere else! Needless to say, I returned to Katie to fix others mistakes. She is awesome with color and cut, and never complains about fixing others mistakes. I have learned my lesson and will never stray again! I moved out here two & half years ago. I finally found Katie a year ago and I can honestly say I found a great replacement for my hair stylist I had for 7 years. Sh tells me honestly what she feels I need to do with my hair but also listens to what I want. She is helpful with any and all questions about my hair. I am very greatful that my friends recommended her to me.

Katie is the stylist for several members of my family, including myself. Nicest person I know on Niles Blvd., and she does wonderful work. Before Katie, I had a stylist that could never keep up with her schedule. Not so with Katie, if you have an appointment at 3:00, be there at 3:00, because she’ll be ready!

Ok I am new to Unilocal,but not new to Katie. Katie has been the only person to cut my hair for 16 years. I can’t think of a better endorsement. Really, I can’t. In a city full of hair stylists, barbers, quick hair shops and all that, I continue to go here. She certainly knows her craft, knows what looks best in each persons case and most importantly, she listens gives honest input and suggestions and cuts/​styles to suit you and your look. Katie has been doing my hair for over a year now. Being a guy, I used to buzz my own hair, but after moving here to Fremont, she convinced me that I would look much better if she did it. She was RIGHT!!! Every time I get my hair «did» she does it perfect. I don’t like it too long and she gets that.
I love the ambiance. Its not crowded like most places and everyone there is nice. I love how it never smells like a bleach-​fest like some salons do. I never feel like an outsider in a mostly «female zone».

Katie has been my hairdresser for over 15 years. She will always do exactly what you ask her to do & I couldn’t think of going to anybody else. I highly recommend her!!!

Katie has been doing my hair for almost 15 years and I would follow her to the ends of the earth. Not only does she make me look great on the outside, she makes me feel wonderful on the inside. Katie is a one in a million and I know how lucky I am to have her as a hair stylist and friend.

Katie has done my hair several times when my own stylist was on vacation. She is not only a great hairdresser, but a genuine person! She always does exactly what you ask her to do. And color??? She is the «Master Colorist». Incredible! You always walk out feeling and looking soooooooooo awesome. Highly recommend her!!!
