The food here is very good and their drinks are made just as well. The margaritas can be a little on the light side, but just let the waitress know and they’ll add some tequila for you. Grabbing a waitress might be difficult — even on weekends there’s usually only one or two serving the entire restaurant. Be prepared to wait…

Great food, service, happy hour, and fun! Smelly bathrooms though. I can’t wait to go back and eat there, use the bathroom at home.

This place sucks! Went because I had a coupon! I would not eat here again if it was free. Food was cold, order wrong! Lady that works here was more worried about feeding her family then waiting on paying customers. Her kids we’re running and climbing the booths including ours! Wish health department would of came in

Do not know why there are so many poor reviews, they have lunch specials for $ 8 and coupons in the local newspaper every week buy one get 50% off. No problem with coupon, food is authentic, tasty, good. Bar in the front, the only thing was a can of coke is $ 2.75, and chips were store bought and VERY small serving, asked for seconds and only got chips no salsa.

Food is Ok but overpriced. The server was very pleasant. The owner was polite but she refused to accept the Groupon and said the deal is only from Monday to Friday. The Groupon purchase page doesn’t list that as a condition. I’d expect the establishment to honor the Groupon or put a big sign on entrance with the policy. Typical bait and switch IMHO

Nice place, and we always enjoy our meals there. Can’t quite achieve the five star rating because the service can be a little slow and last time we went there, they forgot part of my sister’s combination meal…

Yummy place. Provide good food, great service, and many others. This place looks festive, but the outside does not. During night, I barely saw this place.

We use to frequent this place a lot when it was on Mowry near Mission Blvd. Always loved there food and drinks. So, they move to Fremont Blvd. and ever since it has gone down hill without brakes. First of all, Friday night’s is Karaōke night. That would be cool, except for the Peavy speakers in the dining room that you can here all the way to Petaluma. Forget about a conversation even the waiters can’t here your order. Then the food quality started to go down. No taste very bland and the place was getting very dirty. Last night we decided to give them one last shot. I really like the Manager and the head waitress. Well, last night I felt like was eating in the barrio. Tile floors filthy, the hostess sat us in the bar because the Karaōke was going to be starting. The table and chairs in the Bar look like they were bought out of a garage sale. And service was extremely poor. Finally the hostess who sat us down took our drink orders. Then she went to make my Long Island and Marco’s House Margarita. The House margarita was pre mixed in a plastic bottle, and the Long Island tasted like the Hudson River. Then we order an appetizer and she say’s that one of the cooks called in sick. That was a push. They had the Grandmother busing tables, a little girl helping in the kitchen and people that were regulars were going behind the bar while they had no bartender. The waiters had to make the drinks and you could tell, bartenders they were not. I had the Super Burrito with Carne Asada, I wonder if this place has ever heard of spices? Bland as could be no taste at all. Then the manager we knew came over and said Hi. I asked if he had sold because that’s what it looked like to me and he said no just a busy night. So, I order another Long island since he was behind the bar, but he left. And the hostess made me the second one again. I have to say the second one was better but still not very good at all. I get the check, $ 75.00 for two of us. And the hostess charged me $ 9.50 for the first PREMIUM Long Island, then the second one was $ 10.50? WTF is there an ULTRAPREMIUM Long Island??? Stay away. Got to La Piñata in Fremont on Paseo Padre 100 times better and they have two great bartenders. Sorry Casa you lost two good customers.

I was a little skeptical about this place because it was empty when we walked in but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a michelada, caldo de 7 mares, shrimp tacos and a fajita burrito and it was all delicious.

Visited this restaurant last night and I was horribly disappointed. I wanted to go out to a Mexican restaurant to have a plate of carne asada without having to drive to Hayward or San Jose. I always order a plate of carne asada when I visit a Mexican restaurant because I always say«this is a safe plate that a Mexican restaurant just can’t mess up». I was sooooo wrong! When we walked in the door there was no one to greet and seat you. They didn’t notice we were there until we walked by the kitchen. The server was not very pleasant. You could completely tell he did not like his job. If a server doesn’t like his job maybe he should consider finding a job he does enjoy. My plate came with rice and beans. First they brought us the tortillas which were NOT heated up correctly, they looked like they were microwaved. Next, my plate was served and looked like it was microwaved. The rice was very dry on top and beans dried out. The Carne Asada had no flavor and dry. They should really think about using seasoning on their meat. I also ordered a side of grilled onions and when I received them they were drenched in cooking oil. Yuck. Save yourself from disappointment and make the extra drive to El Taquito in Hayward. They never mess a simple carne asada plate. 1 star is for the salsa and guacamole which was decent. I will definitely NOT be coming back. I would rather make the extra drive out of town to get a decent Mexican meal.

A little gem in Fremont. Really delicious Mexican food. It’s a little pricier because it’s a sit-down and the atmosphere’s much nicer than your typical taqueria. I’ve been here a handful of times. So yummy! This time, I ordered my chicken and sour cream burrito wet to get the sauce on top with churro a for dessert. Try their strawberry margaritas– they’re to die for.

Worst burrito ever. Got it to go. Ordered ground beef with black beans. Got refried beans instead. Burrito was a blob of rice and beans and barely any meat. It wasn’t even rolled right. I used to go here about a year ago and the food was always great and service was good. Now service was slow and the food is awful. Something happened to this restaurant which is a shame. I won’t be coming back.

Competent, tasty, food. Large portions filled the big plates. Very friendly and accommodating staff, we ate on the patio with the two dogs. The sun goes down behind the building early at dinner, making for a pleasant meal.

It would definitely would be 4 stars if it wasn’t for the customer service. I have attended this place in 3 different occasions at different times and it seems to be an ongoing problem. Nobody to welcome you at the door and you find yourself wondering and looking around trying to decide if you should just sit yourself or wait. A little awkward at best. Luckily a waiter walked by and said«go ahead, pick a table» so we did. The chips and salsa did arrive right away but there was a very long wait after that. I would not be disappointed with the wait but the fact that it was in the middle of the week and there was only two other table served makes me wonder if this is a common thing. Now regarding the food. The chips were good and so was the salsa, not disappointed there. When we finally had our food delivered I can honestly say the«molcajete» was the best I have ever tried. It was very generous in the stew and plenty of everything in there. Very well cooked and balanced with an assortment of meats and cheese. The sauce or stew if you will was delicious, the best. I will still visit this place because of that alone but it would make for a more pleasant experience if they could step it up a notch and not rely only on the food to keep bringing people back. Good customer service goes a long way in my book.

Came here to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and I was kind of nervous since this place doesn’t have the best reviews. Camarones con crema– prawns with onions, mushrooms, spices in a delicious secret sour cream sauce.=. The food definitely looked like it wasn’t fresh. The shrimp were hard. The rice was hard and the beans were dry. Food sucked. Service was great, 1 star. They had a live mariachi band, 1 star. I wouldn’t come back.

Please save your money and don’t come here. Food is horrible and definitely microwaved. I ordered the beef enchiladas and chile rellenos and they both taste horrible. The chips were good and salsa tastes like it was from Costco. It’s best to stay home and cook your own food, or just skip eating.

It was my birthday and I had a strong desire for good Mexican food. Had been to their previous location on Mowry Ave. a couple times but not to this new location. The dining area seems a bit smaller but is still comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was late evening on a Friday night so parking was limited in the smallish lot behind the place. There was also a lively party in one side of the restaurant so the noise level could have been described as no less than moderate. We were seated quickly and treated very well from the minute we walked in. Three of the four in our party ordered cocktails to precede our meal; the margarita was very good. The chips and house made salsa that accomapanied were hot and very, very good, respectively. Our server, Betty, with her big smile was more than helpful and treated us as family. My wife ordered the Arroz con camarones(rice with shrimp) and I a grande platter with one each of a tamale and enchilada(both with carnitas) and a chili relleno. The food was delicious and abundant. We ended up taking a little home; great lunch the next day! For my birthday I was given a order of flan which was typical but good. Unfortunately the others passed as the fried ice-cream and cheesecake was sold out for the night. Overall it was a great night. I would happily return any time chance presents. My recommendation holds the same for others sitting on the fence or a yea or nay. I have no complaints nothing that might reduce the rating.
