This is hands down my favorite Burrito joint in Fremont. The place is super clean, the service is superb(an extremely happy, adorably likable Mexican man served me: brought out my food, asked how my day was, and threw away my finished plate), and of course, the food was superb. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are clean and punchy in all the right places. I am a huge Burrito connoisseur, and am only prompted to write reviews for standout places(good or bad), and Casa de Meza did not disappoint. This place is a gem in a city not necessarily known for its burritos — a real joy to discover. I will definitely be back.

i have been running comparisons on mexican breakfast .i have tested picante 2 on fremont and dos gallos on newark blvd both not worth of a return jose make huevos rancheros ranch eggs not on the menu and makes a proper plate and its full for 6 dollars these other 2 places both charge more and give u alot less , so casa de mesa is the place for a proper mexican breakfast he can also do chorizo if so desired … see enclosed pic

This is a really good taqueria. The owner is very nice and accommodating and the food here is great. They also have really good salsa, which is great for me because I use it on everything I order. There are 3 spots like this within about equal driving distance of my house, this one is now my go to spot.

This is the shitiest and shadiest place I’ve ever been to eat at in the city of Fremont… I will never come here again. off top… I ordered a bean and rice burrito… The price was $ 3.50 he took my card and gave me a receipt for $ 5 … He overcharged me $ 1.20. It was only a dollar and change. no big deal. he had a guilty and dumb look on his face when I asked him about the mystery total. I got loud and said no worries! I’ll never come here again. I told him I’m a Unilocaler… I feel like he profiled me and discriminated against me. This dude is a crook. When I mentioned this story to a few of my friends? They said«the owner /, the old man did the same thing to them. today wasn’t the first time I’ve been here. but it will be the last. it’s shitty Mexican food at a high price. My burrito after everything was said and done was terrible. dry crispy rice and a stale tortilla! How can you mess up a bean and rice burrito??? Ps The salsa is absolutely horrible. Epic fail lol go to super Taco instead. I’m confused on how this place has good reviews?

Let’s keep this one short and sweet. I ordered their carne asada super burrito, no beans, add grilled shrimp. A minor curve ball, but the owner did not hesitate to make it for me. Most mom n pop joints are stuck in their own ways and refuses to make something that isn’t on their menu. Great customer service, great food, five stars.

Dinner here was good. The outside of the place place looks nice but the inside looks like a food court dinning. Its a bit small but it wasn’t packed. Onto the food, I ordered the shrimp fajitas for about $ 10 plus a large $ 2 horitas rice drink. My fajitas shrimp came with rice, bean, salsa, quac, grill vegi, and the choice of tortilla. The food tasted good, I do like the smell of the grill shrimp from there. The price is very reasonable which I am glad we came here instead of Chevy, which would of cost a lot more. Our food did come with chips and dips and looks like we can ask for refill as well with no extra fee. Service was good as well, very friendly and good to my kid.

We absolutely love this spot. It is our favorite mexican food spot right now. It’s convenient location near our neighborhood, awesome coffee spot across the way… what’s not to love?! The cook(young guy) is wicked fast in the kitchen, cashier(older man) is super funny with a quick witty humor and always smiling. Love it, feels like family. We’ve had the torta(yes!), super burrito(yes!), quesadilla(yes!), super soft tacos(yes!), super nachos(yes!)…we go often as you can tell. I’ll post images next time we go. I’ve missed the opportunity many times, realizing it at the last bite«dang I forgot again!»

I love this place. They have some of the best Mexican food that I have ever eaten. They offer discounts for high school students. The owner and his spouse are very kind, down to earth people.

Been here a couple of times. The food is good, customer service is great and the atmosphere is warm. Really enjoy when the owner seems to know and gets to know his customers.

We came for the reasonable prices and the high reviews on Unilocal, but sadly, the food was just ok. I was looking for a new go-to Mexican spot, and was hoping it would be Casa de Meza. I placed an order for pick up, and it was ready by the time we got there, but they were missing a taco. Luckily, the cashier(also the owner?) double checked our order and realized it was missing, so we just had to wait a little longer for them to make the taco on the spot. He was really nice and friendly though, which made the overall experience here better. We tried: –Shrimp Enchiladas Plate(Served w/Rice, Beans, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, $ 6.85, ): Good enchiladas, but not amazing. It was a good price for shrimp enchiladas, but the shrimp was a bit overcooked and could have used more seasoning. I wouldn’t order these again. –Carne Asada Super Quesadilla(Melted Jack Cheese, Fresh Salsa, Guacamole, $ 6.50, ): Ok, but the carne asada wasn’t that flavorful and could have used more sear(sadly, this has been a common theme at the taquerias I’ve been to lately). The quesadilla was gigantic though, and they didn’t skimp on the cheese. I would get a quesadilla again, but get another protein. –Carne Asada Super Soft Taco(Cheese, Fresh Salsa, Guacamole, $ 2.85), Jose’s Famous Fish Tacos(Corn Tortillas w/Special Sauce, Lettuce, Fresh Salsa, Cheese, Sauteed Fish, $ 3.95), Shrimp Taco(Corn Tortillas w/Special Sauce, Lettuce, Fresh Salsa, Cheese, Sauteed Shrimp, $ 3.95) [ : The fish taco was my favorite next to the shrimp. I guess you should really stick to ordering seafood here. The fish was very fresh and cooked well, but I actually prefer the fish tacos from Rubio’s more since they are more flavorful there. I would recommend trying this version once though. However, I wished that they used flour tortillas instead of corn, since the corn is too dry for me. Again, the carne asada was just ok. I would probably get the fish and shrimp tacos again, but not the carne asada. They have three different types of salsa: green salsa, chipotle salsa, spicy/hot salsa. I liked the spicy one the best, but didn’t love any of the three. The chipotle was too smoky for me and I’m not usually a fan of green salsas. Overall, the shrimp and fish tacos were good, but I’d rather go to another taqueria to get a good carne asada versus coming back for seafood tacos, since I like the seafood tacos at Rubio’s more. Parking can be difficult in this plaza since it gets busy on the weekends.

Very nice Mexican place. The owner customizes for vegetarian option. Had Veg enchilada and was very flavorful, and delicious. The sauce on it was very fresh and tasty . Highly recommend.

Good food! Value for money! Good tamales. Ambience is very basic go there if you want a large meal in low price. Nothing that draws me to it again. Are there only once.

Hella good. Was working in the area and stopped in for a quick bite. The employees were super helpful and kind. I ended up deciding on a carne asada Torta and it was delicious. Will def stop back in next time I’m in the area.

The good– Nice friendly owner and quick service The not so good — We have eaten a here a couple of times before and the food was fine. On the most recent visit our super burrito was just a beans overload which has happened to be at couple of other places and I totally dislike. I had to separate a truck load of beans from my burrito. Not so sure if I’ll be coming back.

We found this yummy place on Unilocal 2 months ago & we’ve been back 10 times already! Everything IS fresh, tasty, & just fantastic! The owner, Jose, is so warm, welcoming, & hilarious! Our favs are: — Carnitas Super Tacos with pinto beans — Carne Asada Nachos(steak is GRRRREAT! not fatty or grisly & overflowing with yummylicious toppings!) — Fish tacos — Basically EVERTHING! Great. Now I’m hungry. Gotta go get some tacos

OK, I NEEDTOGETSERIOUSRIGHTNOW. This is the best flan I have ever had in my life. When I saw him cut out the flan from the ramekin, I had a feeling it was going to be delicious and I was NOT disappointed. OMG. I literally just ordered 4 flans to take home with horchata. I haven’t tried the mexican food yet(lol, we will try next time), but def get the flan. We might just be ordering flan from now on. WOW.

Impressively packed burritos and crazy toppings for Nachos, all that and more, at this casual Mexican joint. No space for huge gatherings, but you can trust them on big takeout orders. Swell if three or four of you are catching lunch. My demerit: I’m surprised they would sell Mexican Coke but not serve it ice cold or even have an ice dispenser. If you want to go all the way for a customer, you gotta get a new drink fridge. But hey… for those burritos I’ll be back. #wellfed

Service was not very friendly, kind of condescending and impatient, honestly. Burrito was bad, stuffed with mostly rice and beans and skimpy portions of mediocre meat. Chicken was so dry it was chalky. Churros are good. Come here for the churros and go across the street for Suju’s coffee, where they are actually nice.
