Good food! Good prices! Good portions! Get the lunch special tues-fri 11 – 4! Worth coming out here to try something new. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Also used a groupon which made it even better. Who doesn’t like saving money.

Stopped in here for lunch twice food was good service fast. I’ll write more when I do dinner. The place is really big and inside looks like it fits a great party interested to see it on a Saturday night.

Your lunch from the steam table will be a hit or miss depends on who is making it. Went in Saturday afternoon to get my lunch and I decided to go with oxtail. The plate came with 4 tiny pieces with almost no meat and when it came to pay she charged me 2 $ extra. Turns out oxtail is more BUT it is not written or mentioned anywhere also when i asked for it wasn’t informed. I spend 20 – 30 $ a week I this place and now I will never give them my money again. I am sure there are plenty of Dominican places in Freeport that will appreciate my business

Large restaurant with several dining rooms, including a party room, bar area, and lots of TVs and Spanish music to enjoy your meal by. Very clean, Furniture is simple, yet modern. Our meal was excellent(whole Red snapper and perfectly fried, crunch, crispy half chicken), well priced, good sized portions, and very good waitress service. We’d go back again!

I always order in from this restaurant for lunch while at work. There are many Dominican restaurants in the area which I give everyone a fair shot. This is one is the best! They deliver right away. Very fair priced. One time I went to pick up my lunch instead of getting it delivered and I was shocked. It was just a small come up to the counter type place. I was suprised because the food and presentation are so great I asssumed it was a big fancy resturant. Although at the time I didn’t realize the seating was on the other side of the wall. They started following me on social media and from what I see they have live entertainment and a large crowd at night so I”ll have to check it out for dinner one night.

I went with my wife back to sazon dominicano for dinner. We were seated quickly and ordered for starters several beef and cheese empenadas which were good but not great. I then ordered a Cuban sandwich and a steak with onions. Both were quite good but not great and my Cuban sandwich was smaller than the last time. Service was very good and responsive The price to value ratio is about average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a good dinner just not the outstanding one I had last time.

I took home the shrimp mofongo with a side order of white rice and red beans. The shrimp and it’s sauce were flavorful and hot(temperature). The mofongo itself was a bit cold and was too bland for my taste. The beans however, were flavorful. I will try this place again. The service was fast and friendly and food fresh!

First, the décor is beautiful. It’s a shame you can’t see how nice the dining room is from the outside. Very modern and sleek. Has an upscale lounge feel to it. Nice bar. The service left a lot to be desired. No one to greet us when we walked in, we had to find someone to seat us. Nice menu selection. All cooked and plated nicely but lacking in flavor. Kinda bland. Good portion size. Waitress didn’t offer a drink first before taking our order but was very polite and attentive over all. So much food I had to take some home, which is a good thing, but they should really bag it for you. So tacky to me when a restaurant brings you a to go box and you have to do it yourself. I’m on the fence with this one. Guess i would give it another shot.

This place lacks the luster you see in the photos. This is Dominican food for people who have never had Dominican food. The Tres Leches is not even made in house and tastes like fish. The mofongo was a solid rock in my stomach and the appetizers are so-so. The only thing I had that was good was the sangria and that was not even that stellar. Good luck!

I’m doing three stars for now and hopefully more to come bc this place has a lot of potential and it looks like there headed in the right direction. They just bought the place next store so now the place is double the size and now there doing Sunday boozy brunch(which is the best meal of the week lol), great bar good happy hour specials, pitchers of sangria are only $ 10 bucks. The bartender was really nice and fast, the place is immaculate and a side note had the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen. Look for there groupons they always have them, and go for lunch 8 $ lunch specials.

The worst service ever. We had reservation for 1pm to eat and 3hours pass by and still no food. We had 6 kids and 6 adults at the table. the server couldn’t even take out the kids order? Ridiculous her explanation was there was only one cook meanwhile she’s taking people that come in without a reservation and somehow they have their food out first… Our check was $ 90 for the drinks we order and the mini appetizers we got(we end up paying $ 67 with a house discount for the 3 ½ hour we waited for horrible service) by the way Our server name was Jessica to top it all off she had an attitude to her . The food is really good i’ve been here before a couple of times never had this kind of service I actually had a party of 15 last year for Mother’s Day and everything When well … I really feel bad for this place because if that’s the service there going to be given this place it will be shut down in no … There’s about two other tables complaining as well about the horrible service they had. Never will I come back to this restaurant again

This place is a classy, upscale and modern Dominican restaurant. Few times I’ve visited everything was fantastic from the food to the service(especially their drinks). Looking forward to my next visit.

Let me start of by saying that the place from the outside looks like a very bad low class restaurant, but don’t let that fool you! It’s hugeeeee from the inside and so fancy and pretty decorated! It has two different eating areas and a separate bar with a lounge looking area. It’s very nice from the inside and the staff is beyond nice! Now about the food, I went with a group of 8 and we all ordered different things, from mofongo de camarones to chuletas and pasta and seafood and churrasco and everything was delicious! I highly recommend this place! Definitely going back! All the way from queens.

This was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant. It’s traditional spanish food which is pretty good. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which for $ 10 comes with a side and drink and the Empanadas are amazing and pretty big for only $ 2. The prices are very reasonable. From the outside you wouldn’t expect for the inside to be as beautiful as it is. The ambiance is amazing. Great music, lots of tvs, bar area, dance floor which could possibly be rented for a private event. Overall its a nice place

I really wanted to give this place five stars. It’s super clean and has been renovated beautifully with a very modern, lounge-like interior. I love that they did not pack the place with tables, so that the dining room maintains an open feel even though it’s not a huge room. The white stone veneer clad bar, white wave wall, and the use of changing colored LED’s to light the dining area were also nice touches. The service was exemplary – the waitresses and counter staff were as nice as can be and very accepting of groupons(from what I could hear at other tables, everyone seemed to have one). They were on point with refilling water and beverages and clearing away dishes, just very attentive and friendly. However, the food was mediocre. At first, it was hard to put my finger on it, but the best summation would be that, for a place with Sazon in its name, this restaurant needs to season the food better. We started our meal with the mini mofongo appetizer with shrimp. The shrimp were a nice firm texture and tasted very fresh, which was a plus. However, the mofongo was dry and bland, and the red sauce it was plated with was also bland. I was told it was garlic sauce, but I did not detect any garlic flavor. I love mofongo and was therefore very disappointed. Our other appetizer was the beef empanada, which arrived piping hot with nice flaky pastry crust – however, it could also have benefitted from a bit more sazon. For dinner, my mom had the steak chimichurri sandwich. It was huge and came with a free soda and a side of fries or onion rings. I tasted it and, although the steak was tender, there was no trace of chimichurri on the sandwich. Instead, there was a layer of Russian dressing that just seemed out of place. The onion rings it came with were hot and tasty though. We enjoyed them more than the sandwich. For my entrée, I had the pernil with rice and beans. The red beans needed seasoning and did not have much flavor at all. The pernil was mildly seasoned with garlic, but it was very dry. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, so we ordered dessert and chatted for awhile. My mom had the flan, which had a nice caramel flavor(and a hint of nutmeg, which was suprising but pleasant) and was on the firm side. She enjoyed it, but I prefer a more custard-like consistency in my flan. I had the Tres Leches which was excellent – sweet and moist and served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. If only the rest of our meal could have been as good as the desserts! I hope Sazon Dominicano can work out the kinks in their kitchen and bring the food up to match the level of the décor and service. The place was clean and inviting and the food was reasonably priced. All that was missing was the Sazon!
