If you’re shopping around Freeport be sure not to miss the food court below Island Treasure Toys on Bow Street, especially Café Crêpe. Their lunch, dinner and dessert crepes are excellent(my favorite is Brie, walnuts and raspberries) and it is so fun to watch them make them right there. A whole new level to «fast» food!

Tasty place, enjoyed ourselves. It was tough to find but look for the Amatos sign and you’ll find it.

We stopped here for lunch, had the Tom Jack — it wasn’t my favorite unfortunately, left something to be desired. came back after cross country skiing to try dessert crepes — had a strawberry cheesecake and a almond joy. yum. will definitely be back for the sweet crepes, maybe not the savory — wasn’t for us! But the sweet — yes I will be back

Café Crêpe is certainly the best place for a savory snack or a sweet treat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert are completely satisfied by this friendly shop. There’s something for everyone and too many delicious choices for just one trip!

If you like crepes… You will love this place. If you want to try a crêpe … There are wonderful varieties to choose from. Casual atmosphere. My favorites are the Billy Goat and the Baked Brie.

I have only ever had delicious food here. It’s a great choice for adults and kids alike; whether you are looking for a meal or a snack or dessert, you are in luck! I highly recommend the Billy Goat for a meal and the cinnamon bun is divine for dessert, or snack or lunch or just because it’s delicious!

On a recent summer trip to Freeport Maine my daughter and I stumbled on Café Crêpe and am glad we did. Being gluten free, it is challenging to find a quick bite to eat and we were blown away with how wonderful our meal was. Kudos to Lauren and I can’t wait to visit Café Crêpe again while in Maine!

I didn’t even know Café Crêpe was a thing until I began working in Freeport & some coworkers mentioned it. I’m so happy that there is a little crêperie around! Everything is to-order, so at least you know it’s fresh. I’ve been twice, and each time I ordered the«Tom Jack» which is pepper jack cheese, turkey, onion, and jalapeño. Be forewarned, if you don’t like lots of heat with your food, they don’t seed the jalapeños, so it definitely packs a kick! The second time I went, I also ordered a dessert crêpe because I decided to indulge. I got the Monkey Bee, which was Nutella, honey, and bananas. Quite delicious, but *very* messy… worth it, really! One of the previous reviews did mention that the amount of filling you’re given does tend to fluctuate, and that is very true. The first time I went with I got very few veggies in my crêpe compared to the second time. I think my one gripe is that the first time I went, the young woman working didn’t seem too thrilled to be there, and wasn’t too friendly… I try to give the benefit of the doubt to all and like to think she was just having an off day, but if I have her again, I do hope that her disposition has improved. Also note: The Public Market does have Free WiFi. Look for Freeport Public Market. It is an open network

I have had a few crepes from here now. All have been very good, some of them have had more filling than others, but they all had great taste. If you want a good quick lunch, give this place a shot. Everything from their club to desserts are great

I just have to give Café Crêpe a shout out. They have 2 locations. One in the Portland area and the other in Greenville, Maine Moosehead Lake. I’ve only been to the one in Greenville but I can tell you that I’ve tried everything on their menu and everything was delicious. I wish they would come to NYC because I would be a regular customer. The one in Portland must be great too.

We stopped there for lunch on our trip from Bar Harbor, ME, to NJ. This is a very nice lunch place: quick service, creative menu, crepes are good. Don’t expect them to closely resemble the Breton crepes. The food is served at the counter with no frills: plastic flatware and paper plates. Perfect for a quick lunch on the road.

The Roma!! i think I have personally consumed at least twenty of these. Still just as great as the cart. Welcome addition to Freeport food options. Don’t miss it.

Oh yes, crepes. So good. I tried Café Crêpe when they were parked outside Rising Tide brewery for one of their events. It was pretty cool to watch them make the crepes, and the finished product was SODELICIOUS. I’m only sad that I didn’t get a chance to grab a dessert crêpe! Next time. ;)

I had heard about Portland’s newest food truck before I ever saw it, and was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon it shortly before closing time recently. I love the idea of food trucks, and I think some of their magic comes from never knowing where they might be, so it’s that much more exciting when you do come across your favorite truck. For those more focused on hunting them down, you can find up to date location posts on their Facebook page: While the truck is new to Portland, they’ve been in business for a while and they definitely know what they’re doing. I was super tempted by the Brie option(brie, preserves and I think walnuts) but decided to try something new and went with the Billy Goat, which was herbed goat cheese, caramelized onions, spinach and balsamic. There were probably 6 savory options and a selection of sweet flavors on top of that. The crêpe was freshly made as I watched and the whole process took maybe 5 minutes. Prices seemed to be around $ 7 – 8 for most of the offerings.(Sweets might have been cheaper). Something to note: the crepes seem to require fork and knife, and are probably not the best to-go food. Not that this should discourage you from trying one, just slow down a bit and grab a seat while eating.
