Don’t waste your time… when it comes to Italian/Pizza eateries… there’s many more better choices. Went here for a quick dinner… why is there waitress service, however, you have to order your meal at the counter??? Our waitress, brought us our meal and placed it on the table, after we said this isn’t ours, she realized, oops and brought it over to the other table… unacceptable. Will… NEVER return. Saying it was mediocre, is a compliment.

Mediocre. Friend calamari was so chewy and rubbery I threw it out. It was probably frozen. Wasted the entire thing. Good crispy Sicilian slices, but that’s about it.

I ordered 3 times and they still gave me what I didn’t want, than we waited for it longer than needed and they still made us paid for food that will be leftovers. Won’t come her again.

I’ve been going here for years. Love their pizza. Every now and then I try some other place but I always come back. And they have other stuff too, all of it good. They have a California chicken sandwich that is amazing. And the portions are good too. You can’t go wrong at Baco’s.

Their pizza is the best! Such a special treat! I recommend the square pizza the crust is unreal. Crispy, crunchy and not dry, you will come back for more.

I have read some of these other reviews and I can only slap my forehead in disbelief! People, pizza is intended to be eaten off a paper plate. If you want china, go to a Chinese restaurant. Baco’s pizza is my favorite NJ pizza. The chef experiments with some wonderful pizza combinations. The staff are as warm and as accommodating as if they were welcoming you into their own homes. I have never had a problem here and I always look forward to eating here.

Went here for dinner Friday night, place was busy but it is pizza night! The service was OK, they try. The food was just OK, I could have got much better in my own town. The Margherita pizza, no big deal, sauce not very tasteful and our slice was sort of dry. Ordered the linguine with white clam sauce and it pretty much was just plain garlic and oil with a few baby clams thrown on top, would def not order again I did go back. My husband had a chicken wrap and it was also just average. Got a plain slice for my 2yo grandson and even he wasn’t really feeling it. The bread they serve was probably the worst, not sure if it was wheat or dry or what. Not awful, awful food by any means but not anything I would drive out of my way for.

Solid go to pizza place around the corner. Very nice interior and good quality was good. Friendly staff to top it off. Only thing was my pannini wasn’t as most panninis are, looked like plain old white bread. But it was still yummy. Would recommend

$ 8.40 for 2 slices??? $ 4+ a slice. Crazy 1 white & one square. No drinks. How much is a sandwich $ 20.00??? I don’t care about the $$$$ it the principal. Do not care how good it is, that is a rip off. I will not return and not recommend for their usury pricing.

Baco’s is one of the best pizzerias I have been to. Although this restaurant maybe be small in atmosphere; don’t under-estimate the quality of the food. There are also different types of pizza you may get. I’m not talking about pepperoni or extra cheese; they have BBQ pizza which is not only delicious but comes in big slices. They are also very affordable if you don’t want to spend much money but want to have great taste. I have been going there for many years and I have tried other pizzeria’s but non of them can compare to baco’s.

We are regulars to Bacos but the past few times have been awful experiences. Last Friday we went there and my friends ordered slices of pizza and my one friend and I each ordered a rice ball. Everyone’s pizza came out and we insisted they ate while we waited for ours and they were all finished and we still hadn’t gotten ours. My friend went up and asked and they threw them in the oven right in front of him. Then my friend’s came out but still no site of mine. When it finally came out about 5 mins later I took one bite and it was literally ice cold. Not even luke warm. They were less than apologetic about it and the waitress seemed annoyed. We will go back to Romeo’s from now on.

I’ve only eaten here twice but I must say the food is amazing especially the Cream of Spinach Pie which is one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. However, the only downside is I ordered a Spinach salad as well. This was a large salad but very skimpy. It was good for a side salad if that. If you get the same size at Romeos, your container is HUGE and HEAVY. This was almost non-existent but that’s my only fail. I would definitely come back, just not ordering any salads.

Used to go here quite often but will probably no longer go after my last experience. I’m not sure if he’s the owner but the man that works there with the Italian accent was very rude. When I placed my order at the register I asked for the linguini with broccoli. I asked if I could get just a little alfredo sauce with it. The guy taking the order asked the man with the accent in the kitchen which seemed pretty reluctantly to me. The guy said ok and I even went back to sit down and told my husband that it seemed weird that they didn’t seem to want to make it that way. I paid for it and a little sauce doesn’t seem like an odd request. When the waitress gave me my dish it was swimming in alfredo sauce. I explained to her that I asked the guy at the register for just a little sauce. She brought it back and I could see from my seat that the Italian guy was upset. He said«that doesn’t make any sense» and was angry. He caught me watching him and then came out with the dish. His attempt to smooth things over failed miserably. He tried to tell me that he couldn’t add just a little sauce. I did’t understand why but I said well if you couldn’t do it, you should’ve said that and I would’ve ordered something else. He said, «I tried to make you happy» and I replied, «Well, I’m not happy.» He very rudely said, «I can see that» and then stormed off with my plate. No apology, no offer to get something else, not even an offer of a refund. I sat there with nothing as my family finished their dinner. We left and I told the waitress how rude that man was and she apologized and offered my money back. The original guy that took my order gave me my money and never apologized or addressed the fact the he was the one who said they could do «a little sauce». I still can’t understand how asking for a little sauce was such an odd request. We do pizza every Friday and used to go to Bruno’s until we discovered Baco’s. Back to Bruno’s for us. Baco’s can kiss my ass with a little sauce.

I love chicken zucchini pizza! My new fav obsession! I love the Idea salad either topped with grilled chicken or grilled shrimp. I love the grilled chicken– fresh mozzerella –lettuce –tomato sandwich. I’ve had pasta dishes I like here. Everything is good. Can’t go wrong here!

This pizzeria is bright and inviting. Their pastas and other dishes are neatly scribbled on the wall about the counter filled with pizzas galore. We decided to go with the vodka penne… and two slices of pizza– roasted red peppers and eggplant, and buffalo chicken. You order at the counter and then take a seat and a waitress/server brings the food to you. We were pleasantly surprised that the penne came with salad. It was a good size, enough for two people. My friend loved his pasta and I also took a few bites. It was good. Both pizzas had a noticeable crunch to them as well, especially the one with red peppers and eggplant. Though it was very tasty and also my favorite, it did have a little too much oil. This pizzeria is conveniently located near Centrastate hospital.

It had been some time since I was here. I really didn’t remember much about it, so I guess I didn’t think it was overwhelming either way. Stopped in last night and grabbed some slices. Even though I wasn’t starving I ended up getting 2 slices. Once I see Buffalo chicken pizza, I have to have it! I tries a slice of that and for judging purposes, a plain slice. The buffalo slice was huge! Lots of chicken and of course, properly done with no tomato sauce. Chicken had a good buffalo taste and crust was rigid and crispy. The plain slice, while it looked like it was sitting out for a while, actually tasted quite good. Plenty of seating inside. I will say I thought it was kind of expensive, but at least I liked it. In an area dominated by pizza mediocrity and that thin crust nonsense, this was a welcome relief!!!

My favorite pizza place in the area. I love walking in here during lunch time on Fridays. There’s a big spread of different varieties of pizza. Workers are friendly and place is pretty clean. The only thing I don’t like is when the workers tell you to sit down and the waitress will bring your meal. That usually is a code you have to tip the waitress. I really am not up to tipping the waitress especially if it’s only a slice of pizza! I don’t see why it’s a problem if I want to just stand there and wait for my slice. So, rather than tipping the waitress, I get my pizza to go and eat in the car!

I don’t live in Freehold but when I’m in the area and feel like pizza Baco’s is a pretty clutch go-to spot. When you walk in the counter is lined with old standby’s, specialty pies and combos you haven’t seen in other places. I can go into detail but I won’t, I’ll just say if you want a steak and potatoes pizza they got it and it’s legit. The people behind the counter are patient and can answer all your questions like is that an artichoke or shrimp? I’m sure they get people who stare for 20 minutes at a time because there are literally over 20 pies to look at. And on top of that they have a large menu that you’ll find at most any pizzeria. The place is clean, there is a lot of seating and prices are good. If you’re leaving the mall or driving down 9 don’t punish yourself by settling for Sbarro or one of those chains. No one deserves that kind of pain. (They do gift cards too… I know it sounds lame getting someone a gift card for a pizzeria but people liked getting them since the pies change so often, so don’t judge me!)

I’ll start off by saying in this area much like all of New Jersey there are other places to go to that you can probably get a better pie right around the corner depending what style you like. Bacos by no means is the secret pizza place you’ve never heard of that is going to blow you away. A lot of the locals swear by Dusals and Federici’s and they are both within 5 minutes distance to Bacos. Bacos however has cornered a very specific part of the pizza market in my opinion by having a large selection of specialty pies available. You can get all types of different stuff including Philly Cheesesteak and Tortellini with white sauce on your pizza. It seems like everyday they have a new type of concoction. This place is also fairly new so it’s not a bad place to eat and it’s always fairly clean. For the most part it’s serve yourself once you get your food and the staff is generally pretty nice. They also have televisions in the place so you can most likely watch whatever your interested in. Bacos is also a family friendly place where you can bring the kids and get loud. Being in the Freehold area it is pretty easy to get a seat at any time no matter what day of the week which I really like. The only flaw that I would say that Bacos really has is that it’s a bit pricey for a family pizza place. If you’re getting all those crazy slices they have available they charge more per slice than a regular plain slice so it starts to add up. I’ve never had anything besides pizza here so I can’t speak to the rest of the menu but Baco’s is definetly worth a try if you’re in the mood for something a little different.
