Delightful place!
Went for a special occasion and the good reviews I found on Google were accurate. For one, they are the only Cupcake Shop open on a Sunday when special occasions often occur.
A clean, fresh cupcakey décor you would like to expect from a bakery. We went specifically for Cupcakes but taste tested the cookies while waiting on our coffee.
Yummmmmm! Say no more…
On to the cupcakes… Heavenly is what comes to mind. Having settled on 6 varieties, since 4 couldn’t capture a good sampling of what was offered before us, we tried our first of the batch. A light and refreshing toasted coconut and a rich, not-​too-​sweet chocolate raspberry. The rest were saved for later tasting which I’m sure I would report as awesome if near the delectable taste and texture and freshness of the 1^st two cakes.
The young lady helping us clearly loves to see the joy on people’s faces at the excitement of these little tteats.
An all-​around great experience for the day.

I will never waste a dime of my hard earned money at this place. I’m so glad my coworker at the hospital warned me before I made a mistake and took my young child here for a treat. I made sure I told my Brownie troop, my daughters gymnastics club, my book club, and anyone else who will listen to avoid this place. I keep a few articles on my phone. This place won’t last 3 years. I pass it often and it never gets any business.

Crumb & Get it has some pretty good cookies. Lately my husband and I have been coming here 1 – 2 times a week. I have tried the Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oatmeal Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Cookies and the Red Velvet Cupcakes. The best cookies and our favorite are the peanut butter, chocolate chip doozie (2 cookies with icing on the middle), and my husband likes the oatmeal cookies. I’m not even a big peanut butter fan but I love the peanut butter cookies from here. They have peanut butter chips that are a nice add in. The sugar cookie was not good at all. It was like a shortbread cookie with no flavor and sprinkles added in. The chocolate one was just like the sugar but chocolate shortbread and no sprinkles. It was a little weird. I have never bought those two cookies from since the first time I have come there. I have also tried the red velvet cupcake. It was not anything special. I have definitely tasted better red velvet cupcakes.
Overall, I like Crumb & Get It. Although I have a few dislikes I love the peanut butter and chocolate chip doozie cookies.

You should look into the company’s horrible political views (and arrogant support of the confederate flag) before making a purchase here. Whoever ran the Facebook page argued with people after they declared they made a confederate cake for someone — great, whatever, make a cake for your customers — with social commentary that was horribly backwards. There are too many good businesses in Fredericksburg to waste your time and money here.

The customer service really sucks here lately. The staff was really friendly when they first opened but not so much now. You feel as if you are bothering them when you walk in. And don’t try to order a cookie cake, most likely they won’t have time.

On a Sunday afternoon, this is a great place for a made-​to-​order cookie or ice cream sandwich. They have a good variety of fresh cupcakes also. The coffee is okay.

do not spend your hard earned money at this company unless you want to support racist companies! anyone who knows the history of the confederate flag knows that it was used as a source of intimidation and hate! the confederate flag is a symbol of hate not heritage! i will never spend a dime at this company and neither should you!

I personally will never ever spend one dime of my hard earned money at any racist establishment. On July 2, 2015 this bakery publicly announced that they are indeed a racist facility via Facebook. Since then they have taken their statement down but thanks to the internet it will forever be known. Do not shop here. Do not spend your money where you are not respected.

My friend and I decided to have a ladies lunch date and had lunch in downtown, which we split, and then wanted to get dessert to split. I work nearby Crumb and Get It, so i suggested we go there because it’s super adorable inside! They have white painted pallets behind the tables against the wall, and everything in there looks clean, neat and fresh. They even have a little kiddie table and kiddie games for the children that come in. They sell three things at Crumb and Get It, cookies, cupcakes, and Hershey’s ice cream. We taste tested the Butter Brickle and Caramel Brulee, which both tasted like toffee and caramel, which neither of us was in the mood for, so we decided on the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Delicious, although a tiny bit freeze brunt. We also ordered a plate of cookies, one lemon and white chocolate chunk with coconut pieces on the top– very strong lemon flavor, but not too powerful. I found no need for the coconut on top because you could barely taste it. One chocolate chip cookie, which was VERY chocolatey– not my cup of tea, but if you’re like most ppl, it wouldn’t be too chocolatey for you. Then the last cookie, which was my favorite, was the oatmeal raisin. It was chock full of raisins, very oatmeal-​ish, but also the tiniest bit dry. Although I love the set up in there, they might want to get domes for the cookies to sit under on their elevated platters, to prevent them from drying out. We also got two cupcakes to split– we wanted to indulge!- the wedding cake, and the carrot cake. The carrot cake had a cream cheese icing and cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. The icing is fantastic, especially with the cinnamon sugar; the actual cupcake was a little too soft for my liking. it had the texture of angel food cake, which is probably the polar opposite of what you would want your carrot cake to be. It needed to be more dense, maybe with more butter or less baking soda? The wedding cake was the most beautiful cupcake, also having the texture of angel food cake. The domed white buttercream icing was fluffy and delightful, and covered in sparkly sugar sprinkles, then topped with a tiny red heart. Having never had that before, I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be that texture or not, so whether that was what they were going for or not, it was amazing! I’ll definitely be getting that the next time I come!

They’re always flexible to mix and match things on their menu as well as make new creations, within reason, using the ingredients they have ready. I’ve been here a couple times for baked goods and even ice cream and everytime I’ve been satisfied.

Okay– the first thing that impressed me here was the pleasantly accommodating staff. Very professional and polite: all that is lacking in the world! I ordered a peanut butter cup cupcake. 2^nd thing that made me smile was the cupcake. It was good! Now, being a baker, and a cupcake conisuer of sorts, I know how hard it is to make a «stable» (does not fall apart) cupcake that isn’t dry. Usually, you pull back the liner and the crumbs start falling! Not this cupcake. It was moist and delicious, and not too crumby!
The only negative I must point out is that the peanut butter icing wasn’t «peanut buttery» enough. A little less sugar, a little more peanut butter, please! But overall still a delicious cupcake. I will be back!

Fresh baked cookies… awesome…Life is Good, and now that I scarfed down that cookie, life is even better!

The sweet girl at the cash register told me that all their colorful cupcakes are made fresh daily, though not all of the cookies were, and boy can you tell the difference! The cupcakes I ordered (red velvet and chocolate raspberry) were good — fresh and moist — but the Andes mint cookie I tried was rather dry, powdery, and flavorless. Such a disappointment for a COOKIE place! I’m going to try couple more varieties, and I’ll update my review when I do. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the mint cookie. :)
The kind service, fun selection, and comfortableness of the place, warrant a second chance for sure.
UPDATE (²⁄₂₈₁₅):
Gave it another shot this week, this time choosing their freshly baked pick-​our-​own, and I’m so bummed to report that the chocolate mint cookies were again disappointing. Decidedly flavorless, and the texture was off. If you like chewy cookies, these are not for you.

Cookies were dry and flavorless. Need to work on your cookie batter because if a cookie don’t taste good with nothing on it it’s pointless. We had the oatmeal chocolate chip and the sugar cookie. Both cookies taste like diabetic cookies absolutely no flavor. You need to jone your batter a bit.

Delicious! I just had a pregnant urge for something sweet and found this place. I had a red velvet cupcake and bought a half dozen cookies for the rest of the office. Everyone loved it! We will be back when the sugar urge strikes again!

This place is bang-​sauce! Their cookies are perfectly sweet and their cupcakes? Most and have just the right balance of texture and flavor.
Highly recommend anything with their cream cheese frosting.
Annnnd now I have to go there. …

AMAZING cookies. I went in to buy one cookie but I left with an entire cookie cake. Everything is made fresh daily.

My mom and I came in tonight for the first time and we were very pleased. We ordered two peanut butter cupcakes, two pumpkin roll cupcakes, two double chocolate cupcakes, a cookies and cream cupcake and a cappuccino cupcake. We have only tried the peanut butter and the pumpkin cupcakes but they are AMAZING. As soon as we ate the peanut butter cupcake we wanted to drive back and get a dozen of them. They are so good. The cake is so moist and the peanut butter frosting is just amazing. Same goes for the pumpkin cake. It is also very moist and delicious. This is our new favorite place and we will definitely be coming back!

Love love love this place! How cool to get some great desserts and the cookies are to die for :)
I’m a big fan of theirs and hope they are successful as Fburg really needs neat little niche places like this… I’m soooo sick of chain restaurants…

Was super excited to see a new cupcake place go in after coming to the realization that most in Fred weren’t that great. I went in and was impressed that on top of home made cupcakes and waffle cones, they had a made-​to-​order cookie bar where you could design your own tasty treats. I was happy that even though we arrived close to closing, the cupcakes were still moist and tasted fresh. They also deliver which is an awesome plus! Will definitely be back in soon.
