Best Donuts in town! Very reasonable prices! We buy them weekly.

This grocery store is not the best grocery store. I only come here when I need to pick up something quick like bread or milk. The fresh fruit is not fresh, and the bakery could be cleaner. I never buy meat here it just appears to be low grade meat. I’ve purchased ground turkey here once and it was bad.

Weis isn’t the worst grocery store in the world, in terms of variety and quality. The freshness of produce is hit or miss and when shopping midday, I had to hunt down someone to help me at the fish counter(the salmon I bought turned out fresh and tasty for dinner that day). A plus is that they do carry better known organic products and have a good selection of ethnic foods. In my experience, customer service has been great. There is a cart collector(not sure what to call him) that always says«good afternoon ma’am» and signals for cars to go ahead if he finds himself and his carts blocking the way in the parking lot. Every time I’ve used self checkout, someone comes over and bags my groceries. The first time I tried to get a Weis discount card, the system was down so the man at customer service apologized and told me the cashier could scan a general card so I’d receive the sale prices. Despite that, I avoid Weis because of how the sales run. You have to buy ALL the items in a sale to get the deal. For example, if juice is 2 for $ 5, you must buy both cartons to get the sale price. If you only buy one, the juice would the regular price not $ 2.50. I have never come across another grocery store that does that. Giant, Giant Eagle, Safeway, not even Whole Foods– none of them do that! Get with the program, Weis!

Not the greatest Weis in Frederick. The store is poorly light and the floors are pretty dingy. The produce is never super fresh and the shelves are often in disarray. Its decent size, you can easily stock up on the basics here. I would do self checkout, the lines are always slow and usually not staffed with the friendliest cashiers. Not a surprise, as the floor workers are never helpful. It must be the management, they don’t set a good example when interacting with customers, which I’ve sadly experienced. I only go here if I’m visiting family who live in the area and we need chips and soda for a movie night or such.
