We liked this place pretty well. Sadly, it seems to have closed as of April 2013. No more Sunday morning bagels for us :(

The bagels at Market Street Bagel are the best that I’ve had outside of NYC. They have awesome bagel sandwiches. I always get the Miss Fritchie Delight. I can’t find an online menu to tell you exactly what’s on it, but it’s basically a Reuben on a bagel(I get marble rye). Make sure you ask for your bagel toasted if you want it that way; otherwise they don’t automatically do it. They have all kinds of chips, sodas, Odwalla smoothies and juices, about a dozen different Green Mountain coffee pumps and a small deli section with Boar’s Head meats, cheese and various pasta and potato salads. Their desserts are pretty good. I had a halfway decent black and white cookie during In the Street last year. They have a couple of tables outside so we bring the pup with us occasionally. While searching for their online menu, I sadly just saw in The Gazette that it’s up for sale. I really hope that whoever buys it doesn’t change a single thing.

The Market Bagel has an excellent selection of fresh bagels and a great variety of cream cheeses. I found the best way to eat them is like a sandwich because they really load on the cream cheese! The bagel sandwiches are also good and equally stuffed! This is not your average bagel place where you order a bagel and it’s handed right away to you, expect a wait.

I normally will get a bagel to go or ½ dozen to go. They are very good bagels but if you only have a few minutes to grab your food and run out of the door, allow for a few minutes more. Even a toasted bagel with butter could take 5 – 10 minutes. Which is not very long if you are not in a hurry but if someone is in front of you getting sandwiches prepare to wait. Their sandwiches are very good as well.

This is a great place to go to get my bagel fix while I’m in Frederick. I love the selection of bagels and the assortment of cream cheese. I wouldn’t go there for anything except the bagels though(some of the pastries and cupcakes in the case looked not so wonderful) They do put on loads and loads of cream cheese so I usually end up taking at least half of it off. Only you have to ask for a knife because they don’t have utensils sitting out. But this place has some really great bagels and I highly recommend checking it out!

This is the place to go if you want to get a bagel in Frederick or the surrounding area. The owners are fantastic and the selection is excellent. Rumor has it, that the water is imported straight from New York and this is what makes the taste and rise so good with the product. Even if that is not the case it is hard to overlook the fresh cream cheese made at the shop. Or the freshness of the bagels which are made each day. Using Boar’s Head meats and Green Mountain Coffee only adds to the excellence of the establishment. Go here, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve eaten here a few times and I’m ready to review. Overall, I’m a fan. But, there are a few things you should know before going: 1. It takes a while for them to make a sandwich. Every time I’ve been has been after the lunch rush crowd yet it still takes a long time to get my sandwich. If you’re in a rush, call ahead. 2. Ask for the sandwich«hot.» I hate eating cold sandwiches, so if you order your sandwich«hot» they will slap the meat on the grill and melt the cheese and toast the bagel. Yeah, yum. 3. It’s a bit pricey imo for a sandwich(considering you don’t get a side or chips or anything), but it’s yummy and anything on a bagel makes me smile and shell out a few extra bucks. Try the Spires.

Fairly standard deli, with creative names on their sandwich creations. Want a Reuben? Actually, that’s a Mrs. Fritchie’s Delight. But the rest of them are a bit more original. They also have a selection of deli salads(like cole slaw, egg salad, etc), some baked goods, and some fruit on the counter to shame me into getting an apple rather than the double choc chip cookie I really wanted. Also, they have bagels and a selection of Green Mountain coffees. I wouldn’t drive 45 minutes to get here like Jimmy S … but it’s worthy of a walk down the street on occasion.

I will drive 45 minutes to come here. Best flavored cream cheeses(apple cinnamon, chocolate chip, etc.) and best bagels around.

Best bagels I have found in Frederick! Sandwiches are good, but not of the«overstuffed variety». Good place for breakfast or lunch, wish they had later hours. Better coffee can be found at many places around town. 4 stars for the bagels, 3 for the rest of the food, 2 for the coffee.
