The steaks are always delicious. I recommend the outback cosmo. Service is generally pretty good. Now the blooming onion comes in a smaller size so easier to finish. Definitely do call ahead seating and then usually not a long wait.

Thank you Outback for reminding me why I try to avoid chain restaurants. Service was very slow even though restaurant did not appear busy. Our waitress would check in but then disappear when something was needed. The French onion soup was best part of meal. When the entrees finally arrived my husbands steak was under cooked. By the time he received it back the rest of us were done with our meal. And he was charged an «up charge» for the sauce on steak. My salad was average, lettuce was so cold I thought it was frozen but steak on top was good. Kids ribs were good for my son but my daughter didn’t finish the Mac and cheese as she said«it tastes weird.» Unfortunately, just an average dinner that cost $$. Like I said before, a good reason to stay away from chain restaurants and I will add this place to our list(of restaurants we don’t go to anymore).

My experience here was terrible, and I mean that in the most respectable way. From the time we were greeter up until we left. We were greeted promptly by Johnathon R, which is a plus, but then it took a while to get our drinks. In fact, it took so long to receive our alcoholic beverages, that the bartender brought my drink over. It took about 15 minutes to get our appetizer and then five minutes later we received our entrees. My boyfriend’s ribs were so hard that it was a struggle to tear them apart. We called another server over who told us that this was the third time she heard that complaint. On top of that, my boyfriend had a hair strand of an arm’s length in his food. It was just a horrible experience. The manager comped our check and was very soothing to us but we will give it one more shot. One star because the other servers and managers were eager to help although they knew we were disatisfied with the service and food.

We made a reservation online thinking it was going to save time. As soon as we enter, we were given a buzzer and was told it was going to be a while. As we were waiting we got to try some samples of their coconut shrimp and volcano dip. Pretty good. We waited a hour until we were seated. Food was alright. For appetizer, we got the crab and avacodo dip. Hubby didn’t like it, I did! Hubby got the 4 course meal which came with soup, salad, full desired entrée, and a dessert. His steak had a lot of fat and was not cooked the way he wanted. I got the full rack ribs. Was really delicious, the sauce on it was a bonus. Service wasn’t that great. Our server was a tad snappy, but we got our food in a timely manor. I would say this place is alright.

Stopped here for dinner. The restaurant is pretty and the waiter was very kind and helpful. The food was amazing! I made a mistake with my order and got something I typically wouldn’t order and I’m glad I did! I had the chicken parm and it was very rich in flavor!

Outback has always enjoyed a good reputation in my opinion, so my recent visit to the Frederick, MD restaurant was an eye-opener. One of the best signs of a well run restaurant is, believe it or not, the condition of the bathroom. The men’s room appeared clean at first glance, but closer inspection revealed nasty looking hardware on the stall doors, and a lot of crud in between the tile and sink areas. Clearly, there was very little attention to detail(where germs actually live and thrive). We weren’t in a hurry, thank goodness, because our food took well over 30++ minutes. The waitress was pretty awful and never offered any explanation. The bloom’n onion was cooked in old grease, another disappointment. My wife’s prime rib was ordered med-well, but came out rare. My steak was cooked correctly, but barely luke-warm. Our friend ordered mahi-mahi(rare), which showed up 10 minutes later than our food(even after the re-order). The manager did her best, but that’s when it was revealed that the kitchen orders were extremely backed up and there was some glitch in their system(no-kidding). My wife’s second prime rib was full of fat and seared(she asked it not to be seared). Fortunately, we were out with friends and had a good time, but I expect more from Outback. Oh yea, the wood floor in the dining area was greasy and slippery, even though I was wearing rubber-soled shoes. The waitress did nothing to manage the overall dining experience. Outback should be renamed, «I wont-be-back». Someone from their corporate store should visit and order a total cleaning from top to bottom and re-train the cooks and servers. This local franchise is already lost.

Sadly my favorite place to get steak gave me a rock hard uncooked potato and didn’t bother supplying the sour cream etc toppings I asked for … Cheese fries had unmelted cheese and most everything was cold. Really disappointed. I hope this downward spiral isn’t commonplace.

Everything was great, especially Thomas S., our Server. We’ll be back and hope to get him again. He made the night for us!(I wrote this last week and forgot to post it… oops!)

I tend to stay away from outback. I have always experienced something bad. Normally with the way my food is prepared. I have not been in about 10 months because of this. I got a $ 50 gift card for Christmas, so I finally decided to go last night June 16th. As you can see I am not excited to use my gift card being 6 month of holding onto it. I got a 12 once sirloin with shrimp skewer. Little behold my first time back in 10 months and my shrimp was dry and like rubber. The manager gave me a new one, which was slightly better. I cut into my steak and it is over well done when I asked for medium. The manager comes back over and I explain this is the reason why we have not been back in so long. The manager and server were very nice and extremely helpful. I have no issues with the service, but the cooks are terrible. The manager did give me a full plate which when it came, everything was done to perfection. The manager did offer another caesar salad while I was waiting for my next plate of food. The Manager also compensated my portion of the meal. So thumbs up to the service, but thumbs down to the cook. Unfortunately Its been the cooks issues that I have had problems with every time I go there. Maybe its time they hire some professionals. Mind you this was on a Tuesday and they were not busy at all.

Went their with my family, we have a newborn. Food was ok, typical outback. Service sucked, they had no control over the crowd in there which was completely rude and obnoxious. There was an extremely drunk middle aged man making some over the line comments and yelling obscenities and they did nothing to control him. There were 3 baseball players behind us that were yelling the F-bomb and the manager was apparently friends with them. My wife ordered steak medium well and it came out medium rare, she ended up getting really sick from food. Overall this has been the worst Outback I have ever been to. Won’t be heading back to this establishment. Next time I’ll do Red Lobster instead! We were not the only people there that were p*ssed off…

We have gone to this Outback a few times, both eat in and take away, and have always had a pleasant experience both food wise and service wise. Until our most recent visit, I was unaware of their lunch menu. I mean, I knew they had one but I didn’t know it was so affordable and that they had tacos and stuff. I got those tacos(steak) and they were pretty yummy. Oh, and they changed their kids mac & cheese which has always been one of my favorite things. The cheese sauce seems to be mostly the same but the noodles are different. Still not quite as good as the original which is sad. Anyways, nice to have another semi-affordable lunch option. I just wish it wasn’t so freaking fattening. Your calories are super out of control, Outback… but you’re tasty though.

I used the click thru option online we got there and took 45 min to get seated. Then I ordered the Tuna that came with a salad but the salad was the bagged iceberg ones from any store. It was soggy and not so tasty. Please explain why they need tables in the waiting area when they hardly have room to stand.

After receiving a few so-so dinners over the past couple of years, we were pleasantly surprised that food quality is back up! We visited for lunch last week. Service was impeccable. Blooming onion was great as usual. My husband ordered the porterhouse pork chop and loved it. My mother-in-law ordered the ribs and loved them. I ordered the chicken tacos(yes strange for a steak house) and they weren’t bad.

Food and service were good. Price a little high, all in all a good experience for this chain.

Hesitated stopping here after our snow trip because of the poor reviews. Surprisingly full for a Thursday night but we sat in the bar area. Service was exceptional… attentive and caring(Hey Phil!) even the server with a tray of food that I almost crashed in to was super nice. Food was excellent heavy on the salt but this is ‘Merica what do you expect.

Why are people so rough on Outback? I think this location is good. The service is dodgy sometimes… The last female server we had was a bit spacey and not friendly. Maybe because my party was dressed in pajamas she thought we wouldn’t have money? I hate that… Your service determines your tip, if you give me bad service your tip reflects that… It doesn’t reflect how much money I have. I’m a solid 40% tipper for good service and more for great but bad service? Guaranteed less than $ 10 no matter the bill. The food is exactly what you expect from a chain restaurant, quick, tasty and mediocrely fresh. I love the food here however. The wedge salad has always been my favorite, the wings delicious, steak decent and apps always good. They now have shareable apps which is most of the main apps but smaller portions. Now I don’t have to get a whole blooming onion, I can get blooming petals! Not much to complain about, they get very busy on weekends so come early or call ahead!

Since moving to Frederick a little over a year ago, we have nothing but good experiences. We have always sat in the bar area(at the tables though) and service is always fast and accommodating! Good food(as expected at all Outback’s) and friendly staff which is what will keep us coming back!

Nice restuarant and the staff was friendly. We waited for about 20 minutes but that wasn’t bad at all. The food was great. Try the potato soup.

I have been a here a few times and the food and service are consistently great. I’ve never had to send back a steak and to me, that’s saying something for a chain steakhouse. From the apps menu, the wings are really good but my fave are the Aussie fries. Who doesn’t like to indulge in french fries covered in cheese, bacon, and the most delicious ranch I’ve ever tasted?! The small is plenty for two people. You can’t go wrong with the Victoria fillet and a sweet potato. Filling, nutritious(OK maybe the cinnamon honey butter not so much), and tasty! Looking for something lighter? The steak salad is delicious too, with its blue cheese and candied pecans. I gave up red meat entirely for Lent so on my last visit, I tried the featured Parmesan crusted chicken. $ 11.99 bought me the chicken and a side, a Caesar salad, and carrot cake for dessert. The Parmesan coating was so crisp and flavorful– I loved it! I didn’t expect much from the cake but it was actually moist and fresh, with just the right amount of cream cheese frosting. The curbside carryout staff is friendly and professional. I’ve seen them legit run from car to car to take care of everyone in a timely manner. Love this location!

My partner and I came in from Towson, MD looking around Frederick for a future home as well as just a nice day in Frederick. We received a $ 25 gift card earlier in the year and decided to use it while visiting. For an Outback Steakhouse, our experience was FANTASTIC! It was around 3:00 when we arrived, which isn’t peak dinner time nor lunch. We were seated immediately in a couples seat, not at a table for four or six. We’re used to being seated in a large table for six when it’s just us. Our server was very personable and friendly. The prices are kind of high but that’s how it is with almost any steakhouse you visit. I decided to enjoy one of their brand new strawberry mash martinis and would love to have many more! The main meals were the The Hearts of Gold Mahi as well as the Steak and Lobster Tail. Holy cow, both my partner and I were in love with the entrees. Thank you to the chefs for the exquisite meals! I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this location but at the time we had our early dinner, this location was perfect! Thank you to all who were involved in making our experience at The Outback Steakhouse phenomenal.
